Great experience - they were timely, professional, friendly, and and did an excellent job on our project! They were very communicative with us during the install and checked in with us to make sure it was all going according to our plans. A little more expensive than some quotes we received but not by much, and for me it was way worth it in terms of how professional and communicative they were in comparison to other companies, and how well they did they job.

This summer is the second time we've worked with this company and for the second time they've done great work! They're communicative, prompt, and efficient. The walkways were clean and the ground cleared for new ground cover. We'll definitely be calling on them for a spring trim and cleanup.

The company provided professional services for a BIG blackberry issue and clearing property. Chase gave a good assessment and accurate estimates . The working crews worked 110% to help make the place look great again. Thank you all. Becky M

Prompt estimate and service! Our blackberry thicket was gone in a couple of hours and the team did an excellent job with the entire project, including clean-up. I highly recommend J&C for your lawn care needs!

J&C just finished a whole yard job for us, front yard, back yard, ripping out old growth and branches (even some old pallets) and putting in new plants and shrubs, as well as putting down weed barriers and new mulch. Wow, what a difference! Our place looks great; we smile every time we come home to it. They also came in at a reasonable cost (and great value) after beating out other estitmates. We would highly recommend them.

I called J&C to clean up our leaves. They sent someone out to take a look and provide a quote. I let this person know we were just looking to get the front half of the back yard, the side of the house and the front cleaned up and the quote was completely reasonable. The crew showed up and did the entire property (it's huge), cleaned the roof, and I think the gutters. When I saw this, I was concerned that the quote I received was not going to be the final price, but it was. The yard looks amazingly clean and they did a great job! I thought it was a good deal before they did all of the extra work.

Very satisfied with the service and price! I had this nasty cluster of blackberry bushes that was a daunting prospect to remove. J&C came in and cleared it in an hour or two. Very professional and friendly guys, and they even offered to trim up some other plants nearby. They also dug up the roots and disposed of all the yard waste. I can finally reclaim this space for a real garden. Thanks J&C!

Quality product and professional service at a great price. Had our entire lawn replaced with new sod and it looks beautiful— zero complaints! Would absolutely use them again in the future.

The guys were great. They did a decent job. Ill report back how well the weed killer works when the weeds are wet. My problem and my mistake is I should have waited for my other quotes to come back. Another company would have done the same work for a third of the price. They were here for 2 hours and I basically payed them $300 an hour for a mow, edge, rake, and spray on a 7800 sq. ft. Lot.
I'm here to update my review. J and C reached out to me. They offered me a discount and to come back and spray again. I took it and appreciate it. They do care and that's good.

JC Lawn Care is hands down the worst lawn service I’ve ever dealt with. Their crew rushes through the job like they’re being timed — I actually did time them once, and they were gone in under 15 minutes. They’ll mow and edge, sure, but they leave weeds everywhere and constantly destroy my wife’s plants with their weed whackers.

It got so bad that we literally placed purple flags around the yard to protect our plants, and they still tore through them. When I tried to get help, management promised a visit to inspect the damage — and then never even showed up. That was the final straw.

After putting up with this for over a year, I called to cancel. The girl on the phone couldn’t have cared less — no apology, no concern, no effort to make things right. Just, “Okay, here’s your final bill, goodbye.”

This company is a complete joke. If you care even a little about your yard or decent customer service, go anywhere else.

Great, knowledgable staff

When I bought my house near Milwaukie the entire .4 acre was lawn. I hate lawns. If I was going to raise sheep it would be different but I back up onto a year-round stream and I wanted a mini-wildlife refuge. I called in Donna and she transformed the place. Since she reworked my lot I've hosted two garden tours and everyone who comes here is dazzled. She's the best.

This year we wanted to have a new landscape design for our front yard. We called Donna . Wow are we happy to find her! Donna was so good at listening to us as well as so knowledgeable about design and plants.

We have lived in our house in the SW hills for almost 20 years and have only done maintenance and mowing for the most part . We had to replace our deck a few years ago, and once the deck was updated the garden looked quite drab and lacking. We also had new privacy issues due to the enlarged deck of our neighbors which sits above us and looks down on us. We met with Donna. She listened to our priorities: privacy, low maintenance, drought tolerant to a degree, and improved walkways and paths. She came up with a design which met our needs, helped us find an excellent contractor, was present on and off during the building phase as well as in dialogue with the contractor if issues came up. The landscaping was done last October and at my request, she just came by to review the plantings with me and answer questions. She has been a pleasure to work with.

Donna redesigned our backyard garden last year, and we couldn't be happier with her work. She listened to our needs and provided a plan that included many new, interesting plants along with some stone work that has really brought the backyard together. She was also a pleasure to work with.

Donna Giguere is amazing to work with. She measured and mapped out our property, designed a beautiful landscape design that fit our requirements perfectly, and provided a very detailed plan that was easy for the landscapers to follow. Her choice of plants was based on a deep knowledge of many factors, including seasonal color changes and elements. We found her easy to work with, and she was even here when the landscapers were installing everything to ensure her plan was implemented according to her design. I will definitely work with her again in the future.

I can't say enough how great it was to work with Donna. She understood our vision for our front yard and provided us with a fantastic zero-scape, low-maintenance plan that came out absolutely beautiful. She is kind, professional and very easy to work with. She also provided us with a great recommendation for a landscape contractor to carry out the work. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out and how the process went. I would definitely recommend Donna and her services.

As a landscape designer I'm always happy collaborating with Grasstains. Matt and his team are experienced knowledgeable landscape professionals. They understand what it takes to deliver style and quality.

My friend's kids go to Pacific Crest. The school grounds are so well done I wanted to find out who did the work so we could hire them for our new yard. The school told us it was Grasstains and they did an amazing job. Such a wonderful spot for all the kiddos.
