I called on Friday as the heat wave came in. They were able to come out Saturday morning. Simi was professional, courteous and obviously competent and he diagnosed, repaired and recharged my AC to operational. I fully endorse and recommend his companies service. Alexandria was also great on scheduling and setting up our appointment

Simi and the team are knowledgeable, punctual, communicative, and trustworthy. Simi installed our AC and repaired a faulty part of our furnace. We couldn’t be more satisfied and fully trust him with all of our HVAC needs in the future. Very happy we found Sunnyside HVAC!

I called Simi at the recommendation of a friend. I was able to schedule an after hours appointment the same day and get my HVAC fixed. Simi had to order a part and followed up. On his return visit to put the part in, he also found and fixed a minor gas leak and got my gas fireplace working. I found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and honest. When other HVAC companies were either 2-3 weeks out or flat out would not call me back, Simi stepped right in and helped me. I'm keeping his card on file.

I cannot say enough good things about Sunnyside Heating and Cooling and Simi. I called 12 contractors. Simi was the only one willing to help me. My original contractor failed to return to finish the job and left me with the furnace improperly installed, no permits and didn't even start the A/C addition. Simi came and looked at the system, gave me a bid and showed up within the week. He and his team were amazing. My furnace is up in the ceiling of a townhome and the space was small and hot and there were no existing line sets for the A/C as well as many other problems. Not an easy job and other contractors turned me down. Simi was present for the entire job to ensure everything was done properly. He even made some corrections that he didn't have to, just because he wanted it done right. They were only there for two days and a couple hours on the third day to test everything. The install is aesthetically great and very clean and finished looking. There were other things that were needed and my price didn't increase and was very fair. When he left, all was cleaned up like he had never been there. Also, Alexandra in the office was great and communication was amazing. I am so happy to have found Sunnyside Heating and Cooling and Simi. I can put this behind me and I finally have central A/C after wanting it for 12 years. I feel I have a way better outcome after having used him.

We needed to get our AC unit checked out for awhile, and with the hot weather coming, I called Simi to schedule an appointment for what I thought would be weeks away. Simi was able to come out that day and did just an excellent job. He will have all of our business going forward. Professional, friendly, and completely trustworthy. Sunnyside is the type of service provider you dream of finding.

Simi was responsive and thorough in performing a furnace tune up and then trouble-shooting and solving a problem I was having with my heating system. He was very patient & kind. He needed to come back more than once to try a few different things until the problem was addressed. I was not charged until the problem was solved. The company that installed my furnace was not able to solve the problem, but he took care of it and at a reasonable price. Thank you, Sunnyside HVAC. Whenever maintenance or repair is needed on my heater, I will be calling them first.

Simi showed up for me during the heatwave even though it was the weekend and he’d already had a full day. He was very informative and ethical. He really knew what he was doing and was so pleasant to work with. I will definitely call Sunnyside again!

Three weeks ago, my packaged unit, combined heating and AC, was dead. We got quotes from three companies and the Sunnyside Heating and Cooling company gave the most reasonable price. After signing the quote, Simi (the owner & technician) placed the order for the equipment and showed up a week later to install it. He took his time to do everything right. Simi also recommended a new Smart thermostat that was compatible with the new equipment and he installed it as well. I would recommend Sunnyside Heating & Cooling company to anyone. Simi also registered the equipment with the manufacture so we can get the warranty.

I got home to a warm house and a non-functioning thermostat around 4pm on a Friday. I called about 5 places, but Sunnyside was the only one who could make it within 24 hours. It turns out my house was on the way back to the shop for one of the technicians, Simi. He ended his day by fixing my furnace, replacing a condensation pump and a control board. He tested the furnace and even traced a drainage tube out to make sure it was functioning. It wasn’t, and because he heard the new pump struggling he knew there had to be an additional thing wrong. So instead of ignoring the sound, and potentially making more money by coming out again to replace the pump, he addressed it in the first visit. I was extremely lucky that he had the parts and I was along the route back to the shop, but Simi had my AC working again by 8:30pm that night, which was beyond my wildest dreams. I went from thinking I needed a new furnace and wouldn’t have it fixed for a week to having some parts replaced the same day. If I could give Simi 6 stars I would. He went above and beyond to ensure our home stayed cool. I really appreciate Simi and Sunnyside HVAC.

I've used Sunnyside twice, for two different furnaces, and their repair technician Simi is amazing. The first furnace we needed help with required a lot of diagnostic testing and multiple parts that needed replacement, but he was very diligent throughout the entire process. The second time we used them, I was relieved to hear that they would be sending out Simi again - he figured out the problem, got the parts, and we were on our way within the same day.
It's hard to find reliable HVAC service providers, and we're very happy to have found Sunnyside Heating!

I bought a new heat pump from another company in June, and it has been the bane of my existence since it was installed--noisy, leaking and not heating or cooling properly. Simi came out today and immediately found and fixed the source of the leak. He then determined that the equipment was miswired, and he pulled a new cable through the wall, rewired the thermostat and the furnace, set up the smart thermostat, then methodically tested the equipment for each stage of heating and cooling.

My heat and A/C are now working well, and they're so much quieter! So happy to have finally found a trustworthy HVAC guy who knows his stuff. Simi is happy to explain what he's doing and is just an all-around pleasant man. After going through a series of bad HVAC companies, I feel like I finally hit the jackpot with Sunnyside Heating and Cooling!

Excellent communication with both Simi and Alexandra. Simi showed up when he said he would and completed the work for the quoted price. Was able to get a new blower motor installed within just 2 days of the first diagnostic. Simi is friendly and professional, and he even let me watch while he explained what he was doing.

I will never even consider calling another heating and cooling service for my house. Amazing service. Simi is the man.

It was an excellent experience working with Sunnyside. My gas furnace completely quit on me during the recent deep freeze… on a Saturday. My house was getting very cold, very fast, but Sunnyside was able to make it out to me that same day, at 6 PM. Simi was able to get a temporary fix going so we wouldn’t freeze, which I’m so grateful for. He then had the replacement part I needed and installed it the following week.

The office staff were very friendly and were able to efficiently help me and get me what I needed.

I highly recommend Sunnyside. They really helped me in a not-so-great situation and did so efficiently and relatively inexpensively. Really an all around great experience working with them.

My heat pump was not able to keep up with the colder temperatures and Simi was able to come out quickly and then get the issue solved. He was great to work with and took time to explain everything he was doing and why. Will gladly use Sunnyside HVAC again in the future!

Woke up to no heat on the only day of portland snow in 2025! This was the only company out of all that I called that could make it out same-day, and I'm so so lucky it was Sunnyside. My whole furnace needed to be replaced and Simi patiently explained the issue, showed me the damage, walked me through the options, and stayed overtime to give me heat on that freezing day. Everything was very reasonably priced too. I will forever be their loyal customer and will recommend them to everyone.

I can't recommend Simi enough. We have now used him for over 4 years and I have recommended him to many friends. Simi has always taken the time to make sure the job is done right and just spend a couple hours at our house redoing work on a heat pump that wasn't done the right way during install. Simi is easily one of the best contractors we have ever worked with.

Our furnace stopped producing heat just the other morning. I called Sunnyside HVAC and Simi was at our door less than 3hrs. later. The parts for repair only came as a kit which would’ve cost too much. Simi was able to locate a new, more efficient furnace for us and returned the next day (Saturday) and installed it in less than 5 hours.

His work was efficient, clean and kind. He was knowledgeable and took the time to repair the exhaust holes around the house which was poorly done initially. He also rerouted the condensation hose to prevent it from freezing in the future.

10/10 would recommend to all!

Simo spent 45 minutes at my place, pressure tested my AC system which head leaked during the cold snap this winter, and determined the issue.

In the end he explained how it really could be a warranty, he declined to take my offered payment for the service call.

When / if I need a furnace or tankless hot water heater you can bet I'll shop with him. Highly recommended and very trustworthy.

2025 Update:
90° day, the AC kept quitting. I phoned the office, and Simo was here within an hour. He diagnosed a bad condensation pump that was full, and rigged it to use a bucket for the evening. Next afternoon he was back with a new pump, and I'm writing this in cool comfort. Seriously what sort of business has a perfect 5.0 rating on Google? One where the owner cares - that's what sort.

New HVAC system installed in less than 5 days by a very professional 2 men crew. All our questions were answered; they cleaned up after themselves; very courteous and always respectful of our property.
Truly happy AND the estimate was lower than what Costco’s people quoted us.
P.S.: Ask them about the “air scrubber”. It’s a really good investment for the air quality in your home.

We used Sunnyside to install a new Heatpump and A/C coils to our existing gas furnace so we can have an efficient cooling and heating solution for home. Simi and Alexandra were very helpful in helping us choose the right solution for our budget. Simi and his helper installed the system over 2 days and were very polite and courteous of our space. They worked hard and cleaned up well after the work was done. We are thrilled with the end result, the new HP works great.
