Thanks to Brenden from Cornel's team for stopping by and completed the plumbing and water heater tank work needed. He clearly communicated options available and what needs to be done for each option, can't expect more from a customer's perspective. Will certainly choose his service again in the future.

This letter is support of the work that was done at 8230 SW Glencreek Court, Portland, OR 97223.

Starting with the estimate done by Cornel Plumbing, I felt confident that I was in the best of working hands. The estimate was fair and I was not charged for it. Everything was explained thoroughly to both my wife and me. We signed a contract for the work and it was begun within a few days.

Never once did I feel worried about the quality of the work. Every step was exclaimed before and after. Every worker was professional, friendly and kind. It is terrifying to a homeowner, especially those living on Social Security, that such an expensive repair must be done.

The city signed off on the work on Monday, and a Cornel representative came today to complete filling the remaining trench. He did a fine job.

All is now right in the “world of water” at 8230 thanks to your company.

A special thanks to the technicians that were on the project, Thomas and Colemann, as well as the office staff that helped Anita, Donald and Stephanie. My apologies if I missed anyone.

Cornel’s Plumbing been wonderful to work with. They installed a whole new waterline to my house with a new shut off valve right at the crawlspace. The office people Tanya and Hallie we’re pleasant and helpful. The crew that came out for the water line of Baxter and Trey and James and Nathan Y And Josh were very pleasant to work with too and considerate. I think there were several more guys out there that day, and I didn’t catch their names. Wayne, the HVAC person, was easy to work with. Just a nice guy and did a good job. The whole experience was smooth for both issues. Thank you.

Adrian was a pleasure to work with. He’s very personable, knowledgeable and was honest about what needed to be done and what didn’t need to be done to complete the job. We will definitely call Cornel’s for any future plumbing needs.

We had an issue with our heating system so we called Cornel's. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem (which could've been more serious had we not discovered it when we did). After a thorough explanation and discussion of options, we elected to replace the system. David was very knowledgable about the system options and Ed and Rafael were incredibly professional during the installation. I'd recommend Cornel's to anyone needing maintenance, service or installation on their HVAC/Heating Systems.

Jake was punctual, competent, knowledgeable, and informative. He let me know when to expect his arrival, arrived right on time, quickly fixed my kitchen faucet, explained everything he was doing and gave good advice for the future. He instilled confidence and I would call on him again for any of my plumbing needs.

Excellent service from Cornel’s. Needed our 25+ year old HVAC system replaced. The crew, Samuel and Veniamin, were prompt and professional, coordinated well with the electrician and they overcame a couple of installation hiccups without breaking a sweat. Great work!

I reached out because our water heater was beeping and giving us an error code. They were able to get me a same day appt. Jake came out on time and was great. He explained everything thoroughly and was very honest and upfront. Luckily it was a quick and easy fix. Very appreciative for the quick service and how responsive they were!

Jake Shively, with Cornel's Plumbing, came to my home to replace the water spout in my bath tub because the interrupter for the shower was not working properly anymore. Jake was friendly and professional and did a great job. I highly recommend him.

John, with the help of his apprentice, did an excellent job putting in a new shower pan and valve for me today.
They definitely met the extremely high standards that I have come to expect from 20+ years of having Cornel do my plumbing jobs as a general contractor.

Zac on a second job supplied and installed a new water heater, and hauled away the old one. Zac went beyond the expected to do exceptional quality work and give outstanding customer service.
After having worked with Cornel for decades, it is obvious that he employs his very high standards he always put forth is carried forward by everyone of his employees.

Zac made another trip to supply and install a recirculating pump on our new water heater, and while here he replaced our 23 yr old angle stops on both toilets with new 1/4 turn ones.
Baxter came today to install the trim on the shower valve and shower head. Like every representative of Cornel 's team I have met, Baxter was also extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He mentioned that working for Cornel, they are all treated like family, which shines through on their attitude and workmanship.
All of the office staff are over the top friendly, helpful and professional as well.

Problem: Old water heater non-functional/end-of-life.

Cornel's Plumbing (specifically: Jake/James) arrived under short notice (accommodating my schedule) and provided excellent service and explanations of the entire hardware diagnosis, potential root causes and the corresponding fixes that were easy to understand.

Their team was very personable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with--outlining multiple options with respective pricing and timelines for us to make an easy decision.

After we decided to replace the end-of-life unit, they committed to completing the work immediately (finished <2hr) and fixed the heating issue leaving us with recommendations to mitigate future problems.

5/5 would hire again, excellent experience.

I had the team replace my hot water heater. Cornel’s team were very prompt at coming out for the initial consultation. Judah helped walk me through all the options and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. Jordan installed the unit and did a great job with install and cleanup. We hit a problem with old / faulty wiring, but the team had an electrician come out same day to fix the issue. All around fantastic service, would highly recommend!

I have been thrilled with every service, every time Cornel's has ever been to my home for plumbing work. My house is very complicated with multiple hot water heaters due to additions done at different times. That plus working with a subpar contractor on a remodel I ended up with several problems no one could figure out until Cornel came. Jake was here several of the first few times, and I request him now because he's awesome. But everyone who's ever come has been just as good. I'm actually excited that my hvac contract with another company finally ran out because I'm sure I'll be just as happy with having this team take care of that as well

Update: Just finished up with, Hunter, working on my hvac. He found a bunch of problems with my furnaces Yes furnaceS, because of course I have multiples of those also. I contacted the hvac company I was working with previously, they don't take any pictures or write up exactly what was done, so even though some of this might be because of how previous repairs were done, there's no way to know. So I found out how important Cornel's seemingly tedious process of writing up in detail every step, along with photos, really is. They actually do it to protect me AND are happy to because they know their work is top notch and they want to stand by it 100%, with full transparency. Cornel's warranty is also way more comprehensive and the prices are almost exactly the same. I'm so glad Hunter came to do my annual inspection and found all the problems before I was without heat. Even though there was a lot of work to be done, and we had to wait so long for parts, I didn't go a single day without heat. Kudos Cornel. You make being a home owner so much easier.

Thank you so much to Jairo, he installed my furnace. He did a thorough installation. He encountered a leak with the condensation tube and with excellent problem solving skills was able to fix it right away. Jairo arrived on-time, answered all my questions and explained them in a way that I could understand. His work was excellent and top shelf quality. I also appreciated that he is latino and was able to talk to me in Spanish. Thank you Cornel’s Plumbing for having employees that provide excellent service.

Nathan was fast and efficient and did an amazing job installing a new sink/vanity/faucet and new toilet. Super fast and it looks great. The old vanity was hideous so this bring joy to my heart.

We had someone from Cornel’s come to give us an estimate for several areas of plumbing we will need done in the next few months. We had an awesome experience with Kevin. He was very kind, detailed & honest. We really appreciate that .We are not sure we’ll use this company as of yet however, based on our first experience, we give Cornel’s five stars ⭐️

We hired Cornel’s to re-pipe our house, and at the same time we had them replace our furnace, water heater and add air conditioning. Everyone we dealt with from Cornel’s from sales, installation, service and the front office was courteous and professional, and they answered all our questions with patience and compassion.

Josh B. wrote the quote and gave us discounts for bundling the work, starting immediately (it is their off-season), and for paying cash. Josh arranged for all the permits, inspections, and sub-contractors to run a new water main and add a new electrical circuit for the A/C. On day one HVAC team Ed, Jase and Andrew replaced our furnace and installed the new A/C unit in a day. Starting the next day plumbing team John and Josh O. did the re-piping of 2+1/2 baths, kitchen, laundry and outdoor faucets in 2.5 days, and replaced the water heater on the third day. The electrical contractor came the next week, and when that threw our old thermostat into a tizzy, Brady from Cornel’s service department came the same day and got our heat working again. Brady restored sanity to the thermostat, and he offered to install the new smart thermostat that is part of the new HVAC system, but he cautioned us it would show a warning message until they set up the A/C when it is warm enough to test it. We decided to continue using the old thermostat until the A/C is set up so we won’t see that warning.

Nathan and his assistant did a fantastic job replacing my water heater. It was very impressive how they managed to swap out a 50 gallon tank in an attic with tight access. They were prompt and efficient - everything was done within 2 hrs. Once again, the team was so nice. It was wonderful having every one of Cornel’s employees work on my home, from the estimate through installation. The crew has been amazing.

Had our 18 year old tankless water heater replaced. Super quick installation. The guys at Cornel are always very respectful of our space and professional when they come to the house. Highly recommend!

We used Cornel’s Plumbing a couple of months ago to fix a water leak and replace the pipe from the front yard water meter to our house and shower valve replacement. That was our first time meeting Jake, who did the estimate — he was honest, detailed, and offered very reasonable pricing.

I contacted them again to replace our water heater. As always, Jake arrived on time today and called before coming. Most importantly, he gave a very honest opinion and clearly explained the pros and cons of electric vs. heat pump water heaters.
