    Horrible experience overall.
The service of the plumbing technicians onsite was okay but this review is based on overall service from this company.
First of all the customer service in the billing office is disorganized and patronizing at best. On many occasions when speaking to staff on the phone I was cut off, talked over, laughed at and argued with over simple customer service questions.
    - When onsite for a bathroom renovation a large roll of plastic floor cover was placed on my floor to be used as a safe walkway for workers, the adhesive on the covering ruined the floor .. Judson's kept calling demanding payment which I was not prepared to do until my floor issue was rectified.
-One of the toilets installed in a main floor bath was installed improperly leading to a leak in the ceiling on our lower floor. I called to have the plumber come back onsite to review the leak and at that time he admitted to installing the flange incorrectly and assured me Judson's would be responsible for the drywall patch... NOPE. the admin person laughed in my face and said "we never repair drywall, that is your responsibility" to which I replied , then please ask your service people to not communicate false information to customers.
The one star is for the Electrical department which from the start had an excellent manager and detailed bid - the electricians wore shoe coverings on site and did good work.
My lack of stars for this review and lack of satisfaction is for the Very POOR customer service from antiquated billing staff who would most likely benefit from a crash course on customer service etiquette

Judson has been good to me. I had an AC installed in 2017. Great job and price. Also had their pro plumber Gordon fixed my toilet, shower valves and installed a water heater. Gordon knows everything about plumbing. Robin sold me the AC. He is very knowledgeable. I've read some of the negative reviews. Don't believe them. I found that two of their employees I knew in grade school at Morningside in the 60s :-) Kelly and Wayne. The work was all excellent.

My grandmas garbage disposal stopped working and was leaking. Called them and they were able to come out same day! Only took an hour to repair and the guy who helped us, believe his name was Cody was very sweet to my grandma and super helpful answering all her questions! Fast, easy and affordable!

Been doing business with Judson's for over 20 years. These guys do excellent work. It's run old school by today's standards. That may or may not appeal to you. This time around, I have made four phone calls attempting to get some work done. Still can't get a date for electric work. Spouse gave me a competitor's phone number. It took two minutes to get a repair appointment. It was a month out, but I got it. There's plenty of work out there for all the contractors right now. When Judson's loses enough business they will have to change their model. Until then, just shop around.

I was told they have most common parts on the van and should be able to fix things same day. So, they came and didn't have the part and ordered it at may be 3 times the price I could find at myself and told me after ordering what it costs.

Then couple of days later they come and fix it. Total actual time taken was <20 minutes.

I get invoice for 200+ which I was not appraised of their billing methods (1 hr minimum is what they told me when I asked and they charged me twice for two trips). Not much I can do now, as another review mentioned - guess that's how they like to do their business!!!

Over all if I had just done it myself something that could be as less as 100 cost me 400+. Welcome to the Judson's way.

For me just a lesson learnt and one business less to trust while looking next time.

Meh. These guys gave me an astronomical quote (>$4000) to plumb a utility sink into my garage, I think because the work was too complicated or small for them to prioritize given the current shortage of plumber availability in the area. It's been SO difficult finding someone for this job. I did hire Judson's for a small hourly rate job to move the washer hookup a few feet. The technician's communication was poor and he took his time. I still don't have the bill two weeks later. The final product was pretty heinous looking too compared to a nice white cover that they started with (and hacked up to remove). I think this group may be 'too big to fail', or at least too big to help the little people with reasonable rates and service.

The work was fine but the way they charge is a little upsetting. I feel a bit like I was cheated but I suppose it's the way they do business.
I have used Judson's before and have been pretty happy which was even more disappointing that they didn't seem to care that I have been spending my money with them over years. The part I needed to have replaced in our heater needed to be ordered as they didn't have any on the van, so two days later, the hours worked totaling less than 1/2 an hour yet I was billed at 2 hrs labor almost 200$. I was told that they charged me for travel time as well even though they are literally down the street.
I think that if you don't mind spending the extra money, Judson's is a really good outfit to have do your work.

How do I give zero stars? I had an appointment made Friday for them to show up yesterday (Monday) for a leak that was gushing a gallon a minute of hot water and they literally never showed up, didn't call or return any messages. I've never experienced anything like this. And now I still have no appointment, nobody has contacted me and of course the leak is still happening. After talking to other plumbers it sounds like they do this to lots of people as the other companies are constantly getting calls after dealing with Judsons.

I can't be happier with my service from Judson's. I needed a bathroom exhaust fan installed. I talked to several companies that seemed very disinterested in helping me with this project. From start to finish Judson's was great, friendly and helpful. They were also responsive with communications. The job was estimated with a "Worst Case Scenario" number in regards to pricing, as this type of install can come with a certain amount of unknowns until work begins. Judson's came in under that number when all was said and done. Their service techs were also friendly and professional. I will be calling upon Judson's again in the future.
    Thank You, Team Judson's.

I have used Judson Plumbing since 1979 for all my plumbing, furnace and appliance work (which they no longer do). Although I expect a lot out of vendors, I have never been anything but thrilled with their work in maintenance or emergency. Our home builder was not the best, and twice Judson has pointed out important problems that I didn't know about and prevented major problems.

Once I had a dishwasher problem. It turned out that the fix was good, but did not address the cause of the particular problem I called them for. The second visit was totally free of charge.

Another time I had picked out a new toilet. When I explained my reasoning, the saleswoman pointed out that their cheapest model would also give me the same benefit. Who does that anymore?

I was told by another company (over the weekend) that I would need a new hot water heater, at the price of $5k, despite mine only being 8 years old. They told me that they would not be able to know which part was needed and by the time they replaced them all, I should have just bought a new one, and that they could “fix it for now”. Their “fix” lasted less than 24 hours. I called Judson’s Monday morning for a second opinion and they fixed the small part that was needed all while I was at work! They were honest, reliable, and literally saved me thousands of dollars! I’m so grateful!

The job was done poorly with "made on the spot" tools instead of the Moen tool required. The leak returned within days. One of the faucets (hot) turns off and on the wrong way now. The other doesn't stop turning when you go to turn it off. When I called to let them know the problem and get it corrected I was treated like I was mistaken. Her name was Star and I have never in my life received such poor customer service. In the end her recommendation was that I call another plumber to correct the problem. The original leak was discovered when I was having my tub refinished. The job can not be finished until the leak is fixed. This has caused the company that I am having do that project to return an additional time. This will cost me more for that job. If I could have chosen a negative 10 star recommendation I would have.

I’ve used Judson’s multiple times both for plumbing emergencies and a total repipe. They have been all nothing but polite, prompt and affordable. The repipe was done quickly and painlessly for me which I appreciate as I have a newborn at home. Our cat even got into the crawlspace and the foreman spent extra time helping to get her out. Would very highly recommended!

Judson's Inc. is the best! Other contractors from other fields either show up and then ghost you or never bother to show at all. Those that do are average at best.

Have a problem? Judson's have you scheduled within a week.
2 hour window? Judson's will call and be there early.
Do you think it will take a lot of time to resolve your issue? Took them half the time, each time, on three issues on two different properties?
Do you think it will cost a lot? Lower cost than other bids giving higher prices.
Quality service from experienced employees? Yes, they have that, too.

I was distraught and at a loss when I called Judson. I was without hot water and it just felt like when it rains it pours. Hey hear the customer and actually were at my home the next day. Absolutely the nicest people and so willing to listen and help. They have forever customer and if anyone asks who to call it won’t be ghostbusters.. thanks Judson.

It’s hard to believe that this company continues to be in business.
I have 28 short-term rental units, so we deal with vendors regularly. 6 of our units are in the same building, and we were having plumbing issues in four of them.

The woman in customer service let us know someone could come out today, but “we don’t make appointments.” When I asked what that meant, she said we’d just “have to wait. Sometimes that means you have to waste a whole day.” Knowing that that’s not how any other service company works, since we deal with others regularly, I found this to be a huge turnoff, but they’d been recommended by someone I respect, so I thought, “maybe it’s worth it.”

When they did come out that day, (3:00pm, after waiting since 8:00am,) they would only deal with one of the four problems that day, a leaking sink. The plumber replaced a gasket in the sink. 24 hours later, the sink was leaking again, causing full flooding throughout the kitchen.
Two days later, another Judson’s plumber came to fix that sink. Again we waited around all day, and again, he would only look at one of our four problems. He noted that there wasn’t a gasket issue anyway, that the whole faucet needed to be replaced.

This was on a Friday, and we were told someone would get back to us on Monday to set another (non-timed) appointment for the other three issues.

On Monday they did call, and set an appointment for the following Friday.
We waited around all day that Friday, and they no-call, no-showed. I left a voicemail on Friday night, asking what happened.

On Monday morning, still without a call back, I called them again. The woman told me she’d call back in 20 minutes.

At the time of this writing, it has now been 11 hours since she was supposed to have called back 20 minutes ago, and two other plumbing companies have instead been here today (same-day, timed appointments,) to do the jobs that Judson’s should have done two weeks ago.

I will never call them again, and suggest you don’t either.

Terrible experience. We had to have our water heater and flooring replaced due to a leak. Judson's was suggested to us due to ease of availability for followup of warranty or parts.

The plumber was very rude and dismissive of our questions, and copped an attitude about needing to remove an enclosure from around the water heater before he could get to it. He loudly cursed and complained about how this wasn't the simple job he had expected. He demanded to speak with the flooring company over the phone, and was very rude with them as well. There were retention straps around the water heater that the plumber tore out without regard to wall damage.

We had to wait an extra week and a half for hot water because there was no one available after our new floor was put in, although we were assured that a simple phone call would have someone out there the following day.

The SAME plumber did eventually come back out. He drilled a new hole in our brand new flooring for a new pipe without running it by us first, told us we could just "buy a flange" to cover the gap around the pipe (the hole was very uneven). He refused to reassemble the enclosure that he had taken apart previously. We ended up needing to call the flooring company to come back out to reassemble the enclosure and caulk around the hole in the floor and install the flange. They did all of this with courtesy and professionalism, and even provided extra wood supports at no extra charge.

We spoke to a supervisor afterward who was very apologetic, and sent him pictures of the damage to our home. He said that this was not a plumber that normally worked on water heaters and that it was "unlikely" we would get the same one again. He also said there would be "feedback" provided to the plumber.

Now we have aggressive messages on our phone about needing to pay for the privilege of having our home damaged and having to deal with possibly the worst customer service either of us has ever experienced.

The ONLY reason that there is even a single star is that the pricing was good compared to other companies. Had we known what we were going to experience, we would have gladly paid more to go with someone else.

We will be sending them $5 per month.

Beware!! Awful awful awful. They cancel appointments at the last minute. Was longtime customer, now former customer. We booked an appointment way in advance ahead of delivery of new fridge. We needed plumbing work so we could get new refrigerator delivered as old one dying. Despite being booked weeks ahead, at the last second, they said "Oops. Can't show up!" and left us not ready for the replacement fridge we needed!! We recommend DoneRite in Salem, OR instead. They actually keep appointments and do great work. Don't get left in the lurch! Avoid Judson's and call Donerite. Josh Smith from Donerite was fantastic, super competent and neat and actually shows up as scheduled.

Josh Imperatrice yesterday replaced a water line on our refrigerator. Josh provided excellent service, including going under our crawlspace to find our leak. Josh is one of the reasons we always use Judsons for our plumbing and electrical work,

Judson’s Josh Imperatice is the best!!! Some years ago I had Judson’s repair my back flow device. The next year they said it needed to be replaced as the valve handles needed to test it had rotted off. I was a bit perturbed as I had just paid for a repair. Josh understood my frustration and found a way to test it using other tools. Every year since he has made sure to come out and be the tester. The valve works great but it needs someone like Josh to want to put the extra effort in to get it tested. Thank you!
