A bit far if you live in Philadelphia proper, but well worth the trip if you want to check out and support a legit, genuinely local nursery.

Their selection of pottery (especially strawberry pots and glazed saucers) is stellar, the plants are clearly labeled and very healthy, and they have such a wonderful selection of soil types and mediums for any type of garden you’re planning.

They had 50% off trees and I impulse bought a giant Japanese maple with no plans on how to get it home lol. Sebastian helped get it in my car and fully strapped it in and it didn’t budge. Super super appreciative of his help. And the woman who held my dogs’ leashes while we figured it out. Thank you!! 11/10 would buy another giant tree here again.

Magical garden center. Great selection of house plants and pots. Fun to just walk around and learn and get inspired. Staff is very knowledgeable. I have bought many house plants here.

Great garden center in Glenside PA. Lots of perennials, annuals, ferns, fruits, vegetables, trees, evergreens. Small statuary, fountains. Many indoor plants to choose from.
This garden center does it all.

My plant people! Listen up! You have to visit this nursery. These photos don't do the justice. Great selection of seasonal, nice green, all kind of bloomy plants. Nice healthy, large cactus specimens! Nobody has them close to our area.
Mini orchids are too cute for words. Large selection of pottery. From huge ones to the little ones for your cactus seedlings.
My personal favorite real Italian Terra Cotta round bowl planters.
The absolute highlight of my day is the rather large and heavy Golden Barrel Cactus.

Stopped at Primex while visiting a friend and was impressed with their overall selection of plants (indoor and outdoor), pots, soils, nutrients and gardening tools and decor. Their prices are a bit higher then other nurseries and I noticed some inconsistencies on price tags where the same exact plant was priced higher on some pots than others. Also, I found the same size plants in regular pots for $5-$10 less then if they were planted in a hanging basket and since most people will be repotting into their own pots you can save a lot of money buying them in standard pots vs hanging baskets.
I didn’t have much interaction with the staff as I didn’t have any questions but the girl at the register was friendly and signed me up for a discount on my next purchase.
Great selection, great displays and you’ll find some rare hard to find plants stocked here…..they just may be a bit more expensive then other garden centers.

customer service is great until you have an issue. Tell you By the soil and you’ll have nothing to worry about
Then you come back and they say well if it dies will refund your money so be prepared to plant something wait for it to die and dig it back up and bring it to the store for your refund While there’s an attitude like you want The plant to die

Primex had a huge selection of outdoor perennials and annuals as well as indoor plants and accessories. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are a bit high so I usually can't purchase as much as I would like to but I am usually able to find some selection in the sale area. I love just walking through here.

We always have a excellent experience at the store, but we bought a bag of Primex Wild Bird food a gew days ago and the birds won't eat it. We have quite a diverse group including numerous small birds, cardinal, blue Jay, cat birds, etc. Our usual problem is keeping the feeders full!

I hadn't been back to Primex in about 4-5 years. But we're back in the area and I was in need of a few pet-friendly house plants, and in late November. Called ahead, as we live in CC, and their team confirmed availability. Was there this afternoon and their greenhouse team was super knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Support your local independent nursery!

I love this Plant Nursery. I make sure to visit this place at least once in a year. I really love how beautifully this place is set up , its so pleasant , calm
, peaceful, creative & colorful. They have wide selection of plants along with a great selection of pots and some plant accessories. I have bought plants belonging to Alocasia family when I was very new to plant care and was not able to protect them
for long.
The prices at this place are definitely expensive then rest of the garden centers. You can easily find most commonly grown indoor plants like zz, monstera, philodendrons, figs, ficus , snake plant, cactus , orchids and so on for a cheaper price at places like home depot , walmart and
Lowes.
If you are looking for more varieties and
some rare plants , sure you can find some
uncommon plants which are really gorgeous and it comes to ones own interest if you would like to spend that kind of money or not. But for sure I would highly recommend the plant lovers to visit this place at least once.
I only wish that they rethink about their prices and make it more reasonable.
