Thankfully the actual cleaning service was better than the customer service leading up to the clean. When I scheduled my appointment, I was not given a time to expect them - I was told I would have to wait until the day before when they would call me with an ETA. That did not happen. I got an email still with no timeframe, just the date confirmation. I replied to the email and got no answer back. I called and left my name and number for an ETA the morning of. No call. I had to call again to ask what time to expect them. I had to take the day off work to ensure I would be there to let the staff in because I was given no timeframe that I could come home for. On the other hand, the cleaning staff was very nice and quick and thorough of my apartment. But again, the customer service side told me to expect two cleaners, so I had a tip ready accordingly, and three cleaners showed up instead.

Scheduled a cleaning a 2-3 weeks in advance as I was preparing to move out of state. The days leading up to my appointment I never received any follow up calls. The day of my appointment, I called to confirm that they were coming for the scheduled time at 12:30pm and was told that they LOST my appointment. This was REALLY unprofessional as I was planning to move out of the state the very next day. I mean who loses someone’s appointment?

This caused a frenzy as I had go out and purchase a bunch of cleaning supplies last minute and spend all day/all night cleaning, then drive several hours the next day. They definitely put me in terrible situation losing my appointment and failing to give me a heads up . Think twice before choosing this company!

This job was simply not done. 2 cleaners came for the 9-room job (including bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, basement, living room etc) and they cleaned it in under an hour, leaving before I could even see the job. Our toilets weren’t cleaned, nothing was dusted, shower surround not cleaned, there was still dog food on the floor by where our dogs’ bowls sit, baseboards not dusted…the list goes on. Merry Maids took care of it offering to send a new team but I’d redone it myself and they refunded us. So, the company was willing to fix it but I can’t recommend the service. No reason to hire a professional company for this.

I was thrilled to see the dream team back at my front door today. I hope Stephanie and Tanika never quit! In addition to being an excellent help to me, they are both lovely ladies.

Michelle and Shawn were perfect! Friendly, efficient and quick! They did an excellent job cleaning the kitchen and quick mop of the living room! I will be calling again for services!

At first we thought everything went fine. When we called to verify the next visit they told us that the maid thought our house was too messy and too cluttered. My mother is recently a widow and certainly did not need to be insulted because she fell behindon her house cleaning. I mean isn't that the reason she hired maid services? if I could possibly give them negative Stars I absolutely would. And on top of it all the ladies that came out did a very poor job. Seriously... very poor. We didn't complain to the company for the shawty performance, we thought next time would be better.. yet they had insulting things to say to my 71 year old mother. I will never call or recommend Merry Maids. Negative 5 stars and they should be ashamed of themselves!!! if any of the higher-ups in the Merry maids company sees this I would really suggest you follow up with them. Maybe offer some retraining!

Beth is great she is always at our house as expected she brings all of the cleaning supplies and sweepers. she knows how to clean & shine granite counter tops Sorry that she will not be cleaning our house in the future She has cleaned our house for many years We wish her well in her new endeavor

Our standard cleaning was done recently by Michele - she did a great job, especially since she was working entirely on her own rather than as part of a team as is usual. Very grateful for her attention to detail and friendliness -- job well done!

I’m very happy with my experience with Merry Maids. Alisha and Donna did an excellent job on their first day here. I wanted to make sure that I was satisfied and walked me through everything they did in the house.

The team of Nicosa and Andrea were prompt and professional, and they did an excellent job of cleaning my home. Best of all, they were so NICE & FRIENDLY! It was really pleasant having them in the home and the service they provided was excellent.

I was floored by how the team went above and beyond at my house today. Michelle, Kayla, and Taylor did a superb job. They even made my daughter’s bed! Which is on a top bunk so is always a mess. My daughter said it was “the most beautiful bed ever” and offered to make them a pop-up rainbow thank you card. Thank you so much!

We have had merry maids for the past 3 years and Kim is the best. The house is clean and perfect when we get home from work!!! Always a pleasure to come home to a clean house. Our dog has also become friends with Kim which is not an easy task with him. Kim is very kind and wonderful and knows exactly what needs to be done!!!

Merry Maids has been cleaning my Parents' home for some months now and we're very happy with their service. They have been efficient, timely, and courteous. I'm pleased to recommend their services.

April and Brittany are always wonderful when they come to clean my home. They are pleasant, efficient and do quality work every time. They are both very caring towards our cats and dog as well.

It’s not possible to give a rating of zero stars, but Merry Maids deserves it. I called 3-4 weeks ago to make an appointment for a one time cleaning service for our move out. We are moving 6 hours away and were told our appointment was at noon the day our movers finished. It is 12:15 the day of the appointment and up until this time point, I never received any follow-up calls or emails. I called to ask when they were coming to do the cleaning and I was told that no call was made to confirm my appointment, so it was essentially canceled. Not only that, they refused to work me in and stated they could only offer me an appointment in 5 days, which was way past the time I would already be out of town. My husband and I had the movers take the majority of our cleaning supplies, given we booked the appointment and didn’t have the room in our cars to accommodate it. We then had to go out and re-purchase new cleaning supplies (which can be very scarce right now, given covid).

Definitely go with a different company if you’re a new customer or planning to use them for move out services.

So impressed with Merry Maids of Greater Allegheny - Beth does a stellar job, and is super personable in the process. They are so much better at cleaning than I will ever be! It really gives me peace of mind -- can only recommend them.

Beth does a great job every time. I love coming home after she’s been there. I have been a Merry Maids client for over 15 years and have always been pleased. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Merry Maids.
