First review: Sent text giving heads up before arriving, arrived on time (early in fact). Very professional and friendly. Knew the history of the install. Very knowledgeable.
Second review 7/23/25: On this call; add all of the above, plus the fact Manny explained that because my system was 3 years old and was properly maintained/checked each year by them (to keep warranty in force), they would cover my fan motor repair under the warranty. Tip: get your system checked every year and change your filters every 2 to 3 months. These folks are great!

Nick your technician was right on time as scheduled. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Found that the heat igniter was bad but unfortunately didn’t have the parts in stock. Part ordered and should be delivered tomorrow and hopefully will be installed tomorrow sometime!

I have Bosh AC installed by Davis Modern Heating and Cooling from day number 1 have problems because installation is very poor.

Justin is extremely friendly, professional, and informative. He answered all my questions and explained every clearly. I want he.to be my tech all.the time.

Nick and Manny were outstanding once again. We always receive fantastic service from the entire team, including Missy as the Service Manager and Jason as the Operations / General Manager. Davis Modern is a 175 year old family business that has been a terrific pleasure to work with for the past 30 years! No need to call anyone else!!!

We’ve used Davis Modern every spring to inspect / maintain our two AC units since we have owned this home. We get a different technician every year. They all have been prompt and appear qualified for basic inspections. Each technician seems to find something different about the systems that he recommends cleaning, replacing, or repairing. They generally do not want to do the service during the visits (which would seem efficient and cost-effective), but instead send a quote for a separate service call. We are left to try to sort out what items are really required to keep these relatively old systems functioning vs. what’s just an upsell pitch.

Was very pleasent. Came at the time they said. Explained every thing he did. Came back at night when my heater stoped working again. Great company to have. Would not have any others.

We had an outstanding experience with Davis Heating and Cooling during our recent service appointment. Our technician was incredibly friendly and professional. He performed a full tune-up on both our oil heater and air conditioning unit, and the entire process was seamless.

What really stood out was his thoroughness. He explained everything he did in great detail to my wife, and while she couldn't remember all the specifics by the time I got home, it was clear he took the time to ensure we understood the work that was done. His dedication to being transparent about the process was much appreciated.

It was also great to discover that he was a local guy, and our kids even attend the same school! Knowing that we’re supporting a company with such strong community ties makes us feel even better about choosing Davis. From installation to maintenance, they have consistently provided top-notch service. Highly recommended!

Have been with Davis for many many years and have always been well satisfied with their service and my experience! Technicians are great.

Good service, tech was informative and was not pushy on a sale. I would’ve rated 5 stars but they put a huge advertisement on my 2 month old water heater “blessing” me with a discount on a new one. I don’t appreciate them doing that to my property, especially since they weren’t even here to tune up the water heater. If Davis wishes to come back and remove their blemish, that would be worthy of an updated review in my book. FYI, it’s not an easy to remove sticker, it doesn’t peel off without leaving the underside.

We hired Davis to install a totally new HVAC system and ducting in our 1940s house. They had to rip out the old furnace from the basement, install the new units in the attic and run all new ducting throughout the house. We also had a tankless water heater installed. This was a huge job and we got estimates from half a dozen vendors. Davis was not the most expensive but they weren't the cheapest either. Jim was the engineer who did the estimate, and helped us plan out the install/ equipment. It was obvious he had an engineering background and understood efficiency/cfm/ airflow very well. Chan did the install and Dennis oversaw the project. I even got a call from Bill Davis just to see how the project was going. Chan and his crew showed up every morning on time and had it done within a week. Chan was very respectful of our house, laying down drop-cloths, wearing booties and making friends with our dog. There was a slight issue with some wiring and he came back twice more to make sure it was properly taken care of. During the install they were receptive to our our design and aesthetic requests, and helped us come up with solutions that would fit the needs of our upcoming remodel. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you to the entire crew at Davis!

Tom was a great technician. He thoroughly explained what he found as concerns, what should be done immediately and what could wait.

We reached out to Davis for an estimate on installing a heat pump in our home. We made time in our busy schedules to have them come out for an assessment. This was on a Tuesday evening. After spending almost an hour in our home looking around and explaining the project, we were told we'd have an estimate by Thursday. Sure enough, Thursday came and went with no estimate. I reached out the following week and was told by the receptionist that she would put a note through to have the estimate sent. So now here we are, five weeks later and absolutely nothing from Davis. Reading some other reviews, this seems like a common occurrence. I just think it's extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to offer to provide services, and to not follow through. Just a note for anyone considering Davis - we did have several other companies come out and provide estimates, and I had mentioned to them the work that Davis said needed to be done to our home, and the other companies said that was completely unnecessary. So nonetheless, no estimate from Davis as promised, but wouldn't give them our business anyways after speaking with other companies.

Davis Modern Heating and Cooling, always do a great job when working on my heating and cooling systems. They are punctual, professional, and the area they work in is always left looking better then when they got there!

Had service on my steam boiler today. Tech was on time very knowledgeable and took his time. He explained everything he was doing to me. I am very please with them. I would recommend them to anyone that needs service.

From the start, the estimate process with Jim was great. He answered our questions with honesty and options to meet our needs. No pushy salesman approach to sign now!
The install team of Tom and Cole were awesome continuing to meet and exceed our expectations. They were extremely knowledgeable, took all precautions to protect our home and did an impeccable job installing a new AC and Furnace in one day and walking us through what to expect and how is the unit.
As far as value I had other estimates and they could not complete with what Davis could offer for value. Overall they were an A++. Thank you Davis team!!!

My experience was amazing. I’m a first-time homeowner and I was in a total panic. They squeezed me in on a Saturday afternoon and the tech was extremely helpful and explained the whole system to me. He also kept me updated throughout as to what he was doing and was upfront about costs. He went above and beyond and the experience really turned my day around. I will definitely be using this company in the future!
