Our office here in Penn Township, Novakovich Insurance - Erie, switched to J&J this year for our snow and ice management. They are very easy to communicate with. They use snow blowers to prevent causing any damage to our property. I would definitely recommend if you need a local, reliable snow contractor.

We had a great experience with J&J! Our yard had multiple tough water issues that involved drainage installation, grading, and landscaping. We had multiple companies come out and no one came close to the attention to detail or pricing J&J offered. They went above and beyond to work out the best solutions for us and came out multiple times when the yard was at its worst, prior to the project start, so they could really understand our concerns in real time. After installing the Hydroblox system they did a beautiful job working with us to landscape areas, adding river rock trees and shrubs that worked with our soil and drainage issues. Justin and Joe were extremely efficient, responsive, and professional. They are an extremely hard-working team that truly cares about your project. Highly recommend J&J for your next project!

J&J Lawnscapes completed a multi-project full-scale renovation of the front of my house. I highly recommend them as the quality of their work was impeccable. They completed a hand-cut natural flagstone walkway lined with Belgian blocks, removed multiple shrubs, built a boulder wall, installed 9 new shrubs, added river rock around the exterior of my house, and laid fresh mulch. Their hardscaping work is especially commendable. Multiple other businesses wouldn't take on the flagstone walkway given the amount of time and patience required for this type of work, but J&J meticulously crafted exactly the walkway we were looking for.

For years we had a great, colorful rock garden with perennials and new annuals each year. Age and health problems have made it impossible to keep it up and it became a jungle with weeds growing 2 to 3 feet tall overnight it seemed! Justin and Joe came and in one day the transformed the ground into an attractive setting. Cleared out all the growth, laid a weed barrier, truck loads of 2 decorative rocks brought in and placed in a nice design. Actually added some larger rocks to keep the ‘rock garden’ theme. The fellows worked well together, were very courteous and fun to talk to. 👍

I always get stressed out about having work done to our house. Justin and Joe made the whole process go very smoothly! They removed old landscaping, re-did two retaining walls, and re-did our steps and a walk way. The results look fantastic. They are true professionals and worked very hard to complete the project on schedule, despite a week of rain. We also made a request for a change to the original plan towards the end of the project, and Justin was able to pivot and never made us feel like it was a burden.
We are fortunate to have had their expertise, and look forward to future projects if needed.

What impressed us most was Pristine's level of communication around daily progress/updates and the friendliness of their half-dozen crew members who contributed to the job over several weeks. Dan and DJ were awesome to work with. They both went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable with the design before, during, and after the multi-phased project. Dan went the extra mile to act as the liaison for another contractor as well. Our project included a retaining stone wall, grading and re-sloping, landscape design, and installation. They were very professional and perfectionists in the work they did. They cleaned up the workspace each day and clearly communicated with me throughout the entire project. DJ came out to evaluate our property and to listen to what I wanted to accomplish and what I wanted to do. But I also asked him for his professional thoughts on whether my ideas would meet my needs.

We had an open and honest discussion about options. He’s the landscaping expert, so I trusted his expertise in that area. I was the expert on my yard and what I wanted to do to address specific needs. Together we came up with a great solution.

Landscape work is very weather dependent, so scheduling the work is not as cut-and-dry as other services. But DJ proactively kept me in the loop and communicated when work would likely be done and explained any delays and why. This open communication was very appreciated.

The work done by the Pristine professionals was great. Again, so much of this positive experience hinged on the open communication between me and the Pristine team. There were a lot of details, but that’s where the devil lies, and if you don’t address them properly, you get burnt.

We got on the same page as to what was to be done, what was to be expected, and the guys got to work.

When they were finished, the project looked great; but even though the work was finished, the project wasn’t. We still need to see how everything they planted would grow, thrive, and look…and that would take some time. In this case, a year.

It’s now a year later and everything looks terrific. In that year, I had many questions as I followed through on my end of the care and maintenance of the new landscaping. Every question I had was kindly and compassionately answered by DJ, with him stopping by when he was in the area in order to give a real-time assessment, insight, and additional help when needed.

My experience with Pristine Landscaping—and DJ in particular (no slight intended to the others guys who were great as well)—was terrific and they will be at the top of my list to call with any large landscaping projects.

contacted about 2 dozen companies to get estimates - Pristine responded promptly - most of the others didn't respond at all. DJ gave us an estimate for our initial project (weeding and installing river rock) that was within budget. After they started we decided to expand to add edging stones and expand the work area. Again the price was reasonable. Tim and Jordan were hard workers and did a fantastic job. We love the new look of our yard and would go to Pristine first for any future projects. Real quality at a reasonable price.

Pristine Landscape Services graded our backyard, which sloped in typical Pittsburgh fashion, and did a great job. They also threw in moving our shed, removing some yard debris, and seeding the lawn with clover/grass, all for a very reasonable price. DJ was helpful in quoting and getting things scheduled, while Dan and his team got the project done quickly. I would definitely use them again!

We also left for a weekend due to a wedding and DJ left us a automatic sprinkler so we didn’t have to worry about someone else coming to water the grass that was planted, so they went beyond expectations!
