I should have read these reviews before hiring this plumber. When the plumber came out we were told the charge would be 350.00 to unclog the trap so that raw sewage would not back up into our yard. He said it may not work, and if it didn't, they would have to dig up the line and repair it for a cost of over $800.00, but that our initial payment would apply against it. Within two weeks the problem was back again, so they said they'd need to dig up the line. Problem was they owner wouldn't take an extra $500.00 to do it, as his plumber said he would, and he wanted to negotiate. We decided to seek a plumber with the integrity to stand by their estimates and not try to run up the bill. I cannot recommend this plumber.

Not impressed. Everyone i talked to was very nice and professional, but i didn't feel like the plumber did his due diligence to diagnose the problem. After a home inspection last week, I learned that the tub was leaking in to the crawl space. Called Tipton and they came out to give me a quote. They looked at a picture of the leak, looked around inside the house a bit, then gave me a quote for $1286 to remove/replace the tub waste and overflow drain. They never got under the house to see if that was actually the problem, but they're happy to quote to replace everything. I didn't agree to use them for the work, so i was charged a $55 service fee. I called Hull plumbing, and they were able to quickly diagnose the problem by looking at the tub. The drain flange was not sealed anymore, and just required a little plumbers putty to seal the drain. Hull advised me that i could fix this easily myself, and did not charge me a service fee. I fixed the problem for $3. Call Hull Plumbing. My wife called Tipton back today to voice her frustrations and share our experience, and they basically belittled her, told her to move on, and stood by their plumbers inspection/quote. She just wanted them to know our experience, which is normally appreciated by a business, so they know where they fall short and where to improve. Not Tipton. They just tell you that you're wrong and make you feel like an idiot. I was skeptical because of some bad reviews i found (similar to this one), but i tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. It cost me $55 and an hour of my time.

I called Tiptons to check our hot water heater, the service man came out took pictures of our hot water heater, was told that the boss said our hot water heater was too old to be worked on, it's only 7 years old. Never told me what was wrong with the hot water heater. Charged me $65 to take pictures of the hot water heater and then told me he would be glad to replace the hot water heater for $1800.00!!! Called the company the next day and ask to speak to a supervisor, expressed my concerns, was told I would get a call back, 3 weeks later have not heard from anyone!! Very disappointed with the service and will not be calling this company in the future!! These people are crooks!!!

To be honest the plumber that did the work was friendly and the work he did I have no complaints on. However he was 1 hour late from the 7-9 window I was given, additionally the total charges and or the scope of the work was not explained. I was shocked at the sum total of 431 for about an hours worth of labor and I am not convinced that the work was worth what I was charged. Lastly there was a hole cut in the wall that I thought would be patched up, because the tech said it would be cheaper to fix a hole in the wall and with what I was paying I thought this was included. I will say he did a clean cut that allowed putting the piece back to cover the hole acceptable for the time being but I thought this would be included in the charges. To summarize, as a customer having the scope of the work and charges explained would have left me more at ease with the charges or allowed me to make a better call on moving forward with the work. I know this is partly an issue on my behalf. However, I cannot say that I would recommend Tiptons Plumbing to my friends and family and if there’s any recommendation I would make is to do research and wait if it’s not an urgent job.

This is the second time we have used Tipton,s and it was great again. Came on time and was out with in 15 min. Cost was a little high for a 5 min job but someone has to do the sh*! . I will def use them again because of how great they were. And 1st time was awesome to my wife and didnt try to take advantage of her like previous company tried too. All in all i would say use them. Awesome people, respectful, clean, and do great work. Thanks Tipton's and stay safe....We thank you!!!!

My in-laws are in town and our bathrooms decided to go on the fritz. The repairman was able to stop by much earlier than planned. He came up with a couple courses of action and we decided on one that best fit our situation. We are extremely grateful for the quick response and quicker fix. Thanks Tipton's, you saved us.

Had a broken hot water pipe underneath the floor in my slab foundation. Tipton's came out to my house within an hour, sent Luis who did a wonderful job of explaining everything to me and had me fixed in no time. Highly recommend them, will call them again if needed!

Although we were glad that Tipton Plumbing came out to help us, we weren’t as happy with what we were charged to replace our bathroom sink faucet. We understood the $45 fee for the guy to come out but when he got there he walked into the bathroom we told him that we couldn’t turn off our faucet he said okay let me go grab my tools, he came back with a price of $384 to replace the faucet and then comes back and tells us he would be right back he had to go buy a faucet and then tells us the faucet was going to be an extra $90 but didn’t tell us that until he was already done. After he left, my husband looked up the faucet and it was only $60.. We felt like because the guy knew we had to have it done so we could go to work he overcharged us quite a bit on something that should’ve only cost around $100 to $200 MAYBE. Needless to say we would suggest you keep looking around before calling Tipton. The guy was really nice though.

Great service. Had Zeke and he was professional and took his time. He not only fixed my problem very quickly, he also explained how my house's plumbing was laid out. That was super helpful for me as a homeowner.

Called for a drain clean on a Saturday. Was charged $275 to reserve the service, and was informed that the tech would have a charge for the service also. As the tech arrived, I was given an estimate of $474 !!!!! to clean the drain, ON TOP OF the $275 already paid. $750 to clean a drain line? Told them no, don't bother. Wasted $275 on this overpriced company. Extra weekend charges are expected, but this company is gouging.

Felt completely robbed!!!! Came out to snake a drain from the kitchen through the roof. Was not advised of $85 service call until they quoted me $471 to snake the drain and hook up the ice maker line to the fridge. I was in a panic and let them do the work. After talking to other plumbers in the area, found out the snake should have been around $100 - $125 and they all said they would have hooked up the ice maker line for nothing in the same service call. It took the guy from Tipton's about 45 minutes to snake and less than 10 for the ice maker. I called Tiptons back questioning the situation and was told the snake was $100 and the ice maker line was $371??????!!!!!! ROBBERY. I asked him for a time line description of their services on paper and was basically told he didn't have time for me and good luck. My response was good luck to YOU.... he will need it to stay in business with this kind of practice!!!! Oh and by the way, the drain is still not draining... when I called back he said he would send someone out but it would be a separate issue. NO THANK YOU!!!!!

We had a backed up tub, toilet, and sink at a rent house so we called Tipton's to fix it. Let me tell you, Zach was fantastic. He came out within 30 minutes of being called on a Saturday afternoon, arrived 10 minutes earlier than we were expecting, and had our problem fixed in about a half hour. It cost a little less than $300, but I feel that it was more than fair given it was a Saturday on a holiday weekend and 5 days after a devastating tornado destroyed the area less than a mile away. If I need a plumber again (God forbid), I will be calling Tipton's.

My wife had scheduled a Saturday service for this company. We had a kitchen sink clogged up. The clogg then moved to block the line of another bathroom in the house. They charged us $125 for an estimate. The estimates was for an additional $612 not including tax. Said i had multiple problems. I paid the $125 and made another phone call. I got another plumber who showed up after 5pm on a Saturday to fix the same problem for $60. Took him 10 minutes to snake it for me. I did have multiple problems. A clogged sink and a company trying to take advantage on the situation.

We used Tipton's to re-route our hot water pipes due to a slab leak. They were affordable, professional, and quick! I will definitely use them again if I need to, but hope I don't have to. :P

I discovered a leak in the wall from my hot water heater. I called Tipton's and they were there within 2 hours. Despite signing waivers that they weren't responsible for clean up, they were careful and left my house as clean as when they arrived despite removing sheetrock to make the repair. They were courteous, responsive and stopped the leak. I would recommend.

Not worth the money & trouble. I had a broken/frozen pipe outside, and he was fairly quick to respond after contacting him. He charged $150 just to come out and look at the broken pipe and then changed me $475 on top of that to change out two simple PVC pipes (couldn’t use more than $10 in parts). Total time at my house was no more than 45 mins, and charged me over $600. The next day I went outside to put a heating tape on the newly “fixed” pipe and noticed a small leak around the same area that he claimed was “fixed”, so I called him back and he told me he would see what he can do about sending someone out that day… I could tell I wasn’t a priority on his list because I hadn’t heard back from him in over 3 hours so I decided to call him back and get a status, and he told me that it was going to have to wait until tomorrow at 9am…. After a bit of arguing, I told him to call when he arrived since no one will be at the house when he arrives since we both work during the day. He finally called me at 1100 (2 hours late) and told me that he missed a crack in the copper fitting and it would be an additional $250 to fix it. I told him to pound sand and put everything back together. I called another plumber and came and fixed his mistake for $150 total (included $100 brass fitting). Bottom line, this guy is a major price gouger and doesn’t do good work in the long run. Go with someone else. I wish I read the google reviews prior to calling him to identify the trend of “over priced”.

    Backstory:
I have a tankless water heater that stopped working years ago. Since I moved into this house, I have not used the master bathroom until now. I had a company come out, and they gave me an outrageous quote of over 2k to replace the tankless water heater. The company called me and told me they had difficulty finding the unit to replace the old one. So I ended up looking for a new service called Tipton’s. Tipton’s set out a gentleman named Luis. Luis replaced the unit on the spot for a quarter of the price the other company quoted me. Embarrassingly I forgot to tip him!
    Now:
My sprinkler system burst during the last bad ice storm. I finally called to get it repaired, and I called Tipton’s first because Luis was so excellent the first time. Not only did he fix the sprinkler, but he also did it quickly and for less than the appraisal. The first appraisal guy said they might have to dig up our driveway, which we had expected. Luis did the job without digging up the driveway, and I know his work is solid because our water heater has worked perfectly. THANK YOU, LUIS, from Tipton’s plumbing!
    Message to you:
Finding reliable, ethical, and good people with good morals is hard. Luis is that person, I can’t speak for other people at Tipton’s, but all my dealing with them have been honest, helpful, and reliable. I would recommend Tipton’s, but I will only ask for Luis, and if he is not available, I will wait ( He is that awesome.).

Free estimate, showed up as scheduled, completed work, responsive to calls, friendly service by licensed plumber ( not a technition). I can't say enough nice things about this company. Not to mention they were $2,000 cheaper than a competitor who charged me $350 for an estimate.

I’ve had two separate weekend plumbing emergencies and these guys have been fast, friendly, and knowledgeable both times. Their pricing is fair and reasonable and their customer service is second to none. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of any plumbing work.

This is the second time I've called and the response was immediate - called after 530pm told someone would be here by 9am the next day. They have been this responsive both times. Replaced my hot water tank both times and let me know the price before work was done. I said the last time I'd call them again & I did. They are polite, and honest. Hope I don't need them to soon, but will call them again if I need them. Thanks Zac you have a great team!

We had a nasty sewer backup at 6pm. The gentleman arrived at our house promptly to fix the issue. He had us back up and running in an hour. His fees were very fair and he was very polite. We will be using Tipton's for all of our plumbing needs from now on.
