We had a terrible experience and I would never recommend them.

The plumber had to come back twice just to complete the job because he ran out of time and didn’t have the right materials. He had to go to the hardware store twice because he bought the wrong garbage disposal the first time. He ruined our bathroom vanity cleaning out the drum trap in our floor. And now our new disposal is leaking all over our base cabinet.

Javier arrived right on time and was very friendly and professional! He found badly corroded pipes while unclogging my kitchen sink and saved me from future problems that would have been messy and expensive. I’d use him again without hesitation.

Called Rescue Plumbing to investigate a leak from upstairs bathroom. Plumber came next day and ran a few tests (flush toilet, fill bathtub) and didn’t see any leaks so blamed the issue on either the roof or upstairs tenants getting the floor wet after their shower (he wiped the floor with a tissue and showed the tenant some moisture?). Called plumber back after additional reports of a leak and confirming the roof wasn’t the issue…plumber told tenants to plug the overflow drain with a bag (he didn’t do it himself and didn’t want to caulk anything). Leak was still occurring and I got tired of calling these guys for not taking the issue serious. A new plumber came, took the faceplate off the shower and saw the leak. What should have been done in the first place and would have saved time and a ceiling replacement wasn’t done.

Dex was great. Friendly, patient, and flexible. He was really patient when I had to schedule an emergency water shut off with my building and asked him to come back a couple hours later. I'd highly recommend Rescue if you find yourself with a plumbing emergency.

These guys were very competent and kind. Javier made sure to inform and teach me about what he needed to do. He did not pressure me to move forward until I was ready. His colleague Jonathan was very respectful of my space and the process.

I had an absolute plumbing nightmare— a collapsed drain line underneath a heated, tiled concrete slab. It required disassembling my kitchen, relocating the drain line into a wall, and tunneling under the slab to connect to another sewer line, which had to be reworked as well. Dex from Rescue Plumbing handled this massive job with incredible skill and care. What impressed me most was the thought he put into minimizing the invasiveness and damage to my home. He approached every step with expertise, creativity, and a calm confidence that made a stressful situation so much easier. “It’s a journey" he humorously told me, and boy was it ever! Kitchen is back together, like it never even happened!

Dex with rescue plumbing is the best in the business. We called 4 different emergency plumbing services after a pipe burst in our dining/living room and none were available to come until the next day. We got in touch with Dex and explained that our unit's water shutoff valve was inoperable due to failure, so we were unable to stop the leaking and prevent further water damage and therefore could not afford to wait for a plumber to come the next day and he was at our home within the hour. We ran into additional unforeseen complications with getting our water turned back on in the following days -- all of which were the City's responsibility to resolve, and even after the plumbing service Dex was hired for was successfully completed, he continued to check in and did absolutely everything in his power to help us solve these issues. Dex is communicative, professional and extremely reliable -- I can't recommend him enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy and transparent plumber in Chicago. If you are a client working with Dex, you are in good hands!

I would definitely recommend Rescue Plumbing. Javier was fantastic as was his colleague. He showed me what he was doing every step of the way, took photos and explained the problem as well as the process for fixing it. He could have gouged us by doing unnecessary addons, but he didn’t. He saved us from our pipe bursting and causing huge problems. Definitely give them a call when you run into plumbing troubles!

Dex was great to work with. He arrived quickly after calling to replace my injector pump. He communiticated well throughout the process and even assisted with the paperwork my insurance needed after the fact.

Javier and Jimmy were extremely friendly and knowledgeable regarding my water leak. They helped me understand the issue and next steps. They also cleaned up after which was nice!

If you need urgent plumbing help, do NOT call Rescue Plumbing.

Late Friday afternoon, one of our tenants had a tub faucet leaking at a rapid pace. We had them shut off the water immediately to their own unit and called Rescue Plumbing because of their high ratings. We expected someone competent to show up, diagnose the problem, and at minimum get the unit’s water back on.

Instead, the plumber did nothing. He told us the replacement cartridge we provided “wasn’t the right one,” claimed he couldn’t get the correct part that night, and said he turned the water back on. He didn’t. He also didn’t isolate the faucet shut-off. He simply left.

Our tenant confirmed he did absolutely nothing.

We attempted to speak with management at Rescue twice to no avail. They were going to follow up with the plumber and get back to us. While they did finally return our call, there was no resolution and we ended up contacting several other plumbers who helped us troubleshoot on the phone.

The next morning, my fiancé and I went over to troubleshoot it ourselves. The manufacturer's cartridge we had was in fact the correct one. We swapped it out in minutes and completely stopped the leak.

They wanted to charge us a $99 fee for a visit where zero work was performed and the information given was wrong.

If you want an emergency plumber who will actually solve a problem instead of creating more, look elsewhere.

Javier/Rescue was the best plumbing service I’ve ever had. I had a broken, frozen pipe that was leaking down into my neighbors unit below. It was the dead of winter on a Saturday night. Javier showed up at 8 am Sunday morning and fixed the problem with ease. His demeanor was both jovial and professional. If I could give 6 stars I would!

Javier at Rescue Plumbing went above and beyond helping my neighbor and I deal with a clogged pipe in our building. He expertly dealt with the problem, and wrote detailed notes about the issue so that we could explain clearly what happened to our HOA Board. Thank you, Javier!

I chose your company because I rely so much on reviews before using anyone for any job. I had a great experience with B. Bobani installing a new garbage disposal. He walked me through each step so I was clear on what was being done. It was a quick and clean job and I appreciate it.

We have a very old bath tub faucet (building was made in 1928), and the handle started leaking water. Called Rescue plumbing, and luckily Victor knew exactly how to work with these types of faucets. He fixed it without having to replace any parts, and he also taught us how we can take care of our faucet and left instructions so that it will last a long while. Very helpful, very knowledgeable!

Bob Bobani came out for Rescue Plumbing to help me with my sink repair. Even though they ended up not being able to help in the near term (might need a granite guy first) he was super professional and explained what my issue was so I could get it fixed properly. I could tell he wanted the best for me and my sink, no BS.

Javier did an excellent job. We had frozen pipes for almost a week, this was a challenge and a risk that the pipes could burst. Javier came before his scheduled time, told me clearly what the project entailed and how much it would cost, he also laid out the risks. We have hot water, hallelujah! I had an excellent experience with Rescue Plumbing today. My technician, Loga, came out to fix a clogged drain behind my washing machine. He was professional, friendly, and efficient — explained everything he was doing, used a drain snake, and got the line cleared quickly. The drain works perfectly now!
