Pete Ismail from Rescue Plumbing did an excellent job investigating issues with our building's sewer system, explaining what is required to repair the issue, and completing the large project. He also was gave us great guidelines for routine maintenance of the system.

We called thinking our water heater was making noise. They came quickly on a Saturday. Turns out, about 10 units in our condo thought it was their water heaters or the pipes. Rick & Eric were able to diagnose it wasn't the water heater. They went on multiple floors, the roof, and basement to find out there was a toilet running 2 floors below us causing major buzzing, humming, and screaming noises through the duct work to all of our units. Once getting access to that condo unit, they stopped the running toilet and the noise stopped immediately. They stuck around to continue diagnosing and ensuring a fix even though it wasn't what we all thought it was originally. Would absolutely recommend them and will use them again. Very professional and made the noise stop!

Had a problem with a sump pump. Water backing up into the house. Pete and Noah came out and replaced a valve and got it working again. Very professional guys, patient and understanding. Would definitely call this company again.

I made an appointment on 1-17-24, confirmed with their dispatch that my appoitment was scheduled between the hours of 10:00 A.M and 12:00 P.M for 1-19-24 . When no on one showed up, I called Rescue's office at 12:40 P.M who stated that the plumber spoke to me, and moved my appointment to a 3:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M. I never spoke to anyone from Rescue Plumbing or asked for my appointment to be rescheduled. Wasted an entire morning, and early afternoon. I canceled.

Service technician was knowledgeable and polite. My sink was unclogged. However your bank account will also be empty at the end of the service. Very over priced for a simple job. I only learned this after researching once the job was done. $499 for a simple unclogging. Didn't know that I could rent the same tool from home Depot's for a fraction of the price. Although the job was done, I would consider this unprofessional business practice. Again, the work was great but if you can do a bit of research you could save yourself some money. If you don't care about the cost, then this is the company for you.

Overcharging consumers for simple unclogging can be seen as a misrepresentation effort, equipment, quality of service or skill to perform the service.

(815 ILCS 505) section 2

Objectively speaking: $499 for this service is overcharging. This was not a complicated or unique situation.

Jay and Jr. came to the house to detect the source of a leak. They removed a small portion of the ceiling in the basement and quickly identified the issue. Initially I thought it might be a leaky sink which was backing up, it was not. It was the toilet. Jay quoted a price for the toilet and to also rout out the sink. As it turned out, the sink didn’t need routing, just a stopper clog, simple. Jay removed the toilet, cleaned out the old, re-installed the bolts and reseated the toilet. Unfortunately it didn’t work. Made some adjustments, no go. The solution was to replace the original cast iron below and redo where the toilet sits. The quote was significant. Jay said he would not charge for today, but would do the project the day after. To no fault of Jay and jr. I had run into a friend who has done contract work on our block and he found a different solution to try. I called Rescue to explain and cancel and Jay and I spoke with regards to the cancellation. He was above and beyond professional and respectful of my decision. Most notably, Jay would not accept payment for his work since he said he did not fix the problem. I said I had no problem paying for his time, experience and identifying the issue, but he would not accept the payment.

Although I believe professionals should be paid for their time, I respect jay’s decision and will, reluctantly honor it. But, In the future, I will call on Jay to service my plumbing needs. He was knowledgeable, personable, respectful, explained every detail—like a master’s class in plumbing.

Called Rescue first thing in the a.m. Had a team, Pete and Noah on site by Noon. Thorough examination, honest assessment. Adjustments were made, leak was fixed. Fast, accurate and knowledgeable. Definitely will use again.

I had a tenant who was not getting hot water. They scheduled the appointment as soon as possible. Logan called the next day and showed up when he said. Even though it was an easy fix, he and his partner were very professional and took the time to show us what to look for. Appreciate the professionalism and help!

Great job! I coordinated a building shutoff and they were 10 minutes early as requested. The pricing was $280 for a ball valve and $75 per cap which for their trip and time is reasonable. They went above and beyond by assisting the building management team who could not locate the shutoff valves.

I'd definitely recommend them and I'm very happy with their service.

Rescue Plumbing fixed a problem for me that two other plumbers told me I would just have to live with....my garbage disposal was leaking into my dishwasher. Pete and Noah were quick and professional. Pete explained all of my options and did an outstanding job. I couldn't be happier with their work. Great experience!
