I have purchased several project properties in the Bethalto and Alton areas. On more than one occasion I have needed sewer line repairs, water lines replaced, and excavation work. Barley Excavating is who I call every time because he is quick to get there and I know he knows what he is doing. His repairs are always done the right way and I can always count on him to be on time and on budget. Highly recommend.

I’ve used Barley Excavating more than once for sewer line and water line repairs in the Edwardsville area but the most recent being on my own home remodel we did in Brighton, IL.

We own a business in Edwardsville, IL that had sewer line issues and we found out that both sewer and water lines needed dug up and replaced. We were worried what the cost was going to be because we had heard nightmares, but it wasn’t near as bad as we thought. I think he offers financing too, which we didn’t opt for but I thought that was nice that he did. He was quick to get his equipment to our property and quick to get it dug and replaced. I think our water was only off for 4 hours. He also explained it all to us and personally showed us where the problem was. I hope we don’t have to replace a sewer line again but if we do this will be who we call. Highly recommend him.

I requested a quote and was met with a speedy response that led to a visit and a quote the very next day. Mark was able to complete the job that very same week, and at a fair and affordable price. I was very happy with the service, and I wish I would have called Mark first.

I had a huge issue with a tree that grew around my water meter and pushed it sideways causing main water line to leak. The tree had to go. No one would touch it because even if you cut tree down you still have to get trunk and roots off so they could get 4 foot underground to set new meter and pull a new water line and 7 utilities ran through by front yard, 18 inches on one side fiber optics AT&T and 18 on front was main subdivision electric line only 20 inches deep. So digging out the whole stump was impossible.. Mark came up with what seemed like a bizarre idea, since ground was saturated with water maybe we could push 80 foot tree over and stump would uproot and pull free of meter. It worked he pushed the tree down and we could get new meter pull new waterline without having to dig overall the utilities. The rest of job with new valve inside basement and new line without digging up rest of yard was done in 4 hours. It was done quickly and for a fraction of costs of other contractors. I have used Mark for several jobs over the years and he is timely, affordable and extremely talented operating his machinery, I would recommend him to anyone.

Quality replaced our 30+ year old drainfield. They were very professional, prompt and courteous. As a retired general contractor I can speak from experience, they know their stuff and get it done very efficiently. I recommend them highly.

Had zero issues scheduling an appointment to have my septic tank pumped and cleaned, fair price, and very respectful and personable folks came out to do the job! The guys that came out taught us a bit about how it all works and what to watch out for, and even gave a few tips on remodeling our bathroom! Will definitely be continuing service with Quality Septic going forward.

Super quick and Super affordable. We needed same day service for a rental property. They were able to get out same day, when other companies couldn't do the job. The guy who did the work was very friendly over the phone and gave us good advice for the future. Will be using them for future needs for sure.

We met Alex first because he came ahead of the truck to dig the holes for the septic tank. Shortly after Anthony and another gentleman came out with the truck to empty our tank. They all were professional, friendly and informative because we are new to septic tanks. I will be using them again!!! The company that came out while we were in the process of purchasing our new home never called me back so I went on Google and started my search!! I won't need to search next time!!!

These guys are FIRST CLASS !! I have used them a few years ago for a complete new drainfield and have had zero issues since. Very quick and They leave the place spotless

Extremely impressed by their honesty and the time they were willing to spend on my issue. I called regarding our sewer line backing up and the plumber said that it was likely a septic issue. I was pretty sure that we don't have a septic but called Quality Septic to diagnose the issue. After spending about 20+ minutes on the phone with me and reviewing the property via Google maps they came to the conclusion that it is likely county sewer and referred me to another company to have the line scoped. They could have sold me on a site visit or probably a number of other things but instead looked out for my best interest and guided me through the issue and directed me towards the right solution without any charge to me. Without a doubt they are an honest company and deserving of their 5 star reviews.

My toilets would no longer flush and i needed help. i called on a Sunday to speak with Angelo. He assisted with my troubleshooting over the phone and was patient in educating me about Septic systems. They were straight forward in prices and very helpful in getting my stuff up in running. So, Josh shows up to run a quote for me on a new drain field and we talk about some of the issues that i was experiencing. He started to troubleshoot my system to give me the most accurate picture possible. Josh ends up fixing my issues without me spending a mess ton of money on a unnecessary drain field replacement. These folks are Honest, Kind, and Dependable. For all future issues, questions, or treatment i will look nowhere else.
