Over 20 years ago,As It Should Be designed and installed custom cabinets, book shelves, and a curved bench for our kitchen and family room. They are still incredibly beautiful and have stood up to a LOT of use and , honestly, not the most meticulous care, with kids and housekeepers and us all having different cleaning approaches. I still smile every time I step into my kitchen. What's more, they stand by their work. Today, Mr. Assaraf, who originally designed and oversaw the cabinetry being built and installed, came by at my request to look at some areas showing wear. He was gracious, offered me a range of approaches, and did not in any way "push" for more expensive interventions, in fact recommending I start with some things we could do ourselves. I cannot recommend As It Should be more highly-- would give them 6 stars if that were an option!

Working with ASB Cabinetry was a great experience - they are expert carpenters ready to take on any challenge. Our old rowhouse has the usual non-standard dimensions for doors, windows, and other woodwork. The ASB team help us find the right solutions for our space that provided modern convenience while matching the house's style. They then spent the time to adjust and meld the work into the house, giving it a seamless original look. Great service, expert work, and a great price; we will absolutely use them again!

Great experience, family owned, very professional, detail oriented. Shortly after moving into my new condo, I decided to reconfigure my kitchen and update my appliances. As It Should Be Cabinetry helped me add additional storage with a lower cabinet (three drawers - two small, one large) with a butcher block counter top. I love it, I can fit all of my sauté/frying pans in the large drawer. Then I had them add storage above and along the side of refrigerator which added an amazing amount of addition storage along with a place to store/charge my stick vac. Both pieces are well made and they added details so that the new items would blend in with my older cabinets.

Perfection, ability to understand needs and turn them into a very functioning creation. When they walked into our kitchen they spotted things we never even noticed that offered great improvement over our existing kitchen. Very clean work. We will always use them and highly recommend them!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Shlomo, Felipe, and the other folks with whom they work. I've had them do both large and small jobs, and everything they've done has been superb. They worked with us to renovate an entire room from a bare, concrete-floor workshop to a beautiful living room, complete with wet bar, that expanded our living space by about 420 square feet. They've handled electrical, plumbing, masonry, paint work, and cabinetry. (And their cabinetry is truly extraordinary--like a work of art.) They replaced our old hot water tank with a new tankless system that required the addition of three circuits, snaking conduit through walls, extensive plumbing, and somehow managing to remove a large tank from a tiny crawlspace with an opening that was far smaller than the tank (still not sure how they did that). And they are extremely trustworthy. It is rare to have such an unqualifiedly great experience with a builder and to come out of it with the feeling that you've gotten exactly what you wanted, at a fair price, with folks who really pay attention to detail and who make sure the customer is fully satisfied. That has been my experience with Shlomo and Felipe.

I highly recommend As It Should Be Cabinetry! They did a beautiful job updating our kitchen cabinets: installing a new cabinet door that had broken, repairing a drawer and door that had split, and installing new hinges on all of our cupboards. They are friendly, honest, kind, hard working, and communicate well. I would recommend them to any friend or family member and if there is ever a need, we will be calling them again!

The first thought we had after As It Should Be Cabinetry finished making and installing two new custom cabinetry units for our house was: What can we hire them to build for us next?

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with As It Should Be. Shlomo and Kobi responded quickly to our initial email, spent ample time working with us to design and refine our plan, walked us through every step of the process, patiently fielded our questions and incorporated our last-minute revisions, and ensured the installation process went smoothly and quickly.

The quality of their work is superb. Our new built-in cabinets in the kitchen and living room have transformed those spaces. They've also provided us with a lot more storage. Their pricing was fair and competitive. We feel like we got more than our money's worth given the quality of the product and service.

We just had our entire home renovated by As It Should Be. I cannot imagine having a better contractor experience. Their expertise and passion for their work shined at every step of the job. They moved quickly, efficiently, communicated often, and brought innovative, modern solutions to our renovation that consistently impress all our guests. They are honest, kind, respectful, and went above and beyond to deliver on what they sold us while adhering to our requested timeline. Cabinetry is their art and they delivered closets, an entertainment center, and a kitchen that I could only dream of. Their subcontractors were all kind, clean and hardworking, especially their bathroom and tile expert who went above and beyond every step of the way.

Shlomo (owner), Kobi (his son) and their team did an excellent job with my kitchen cabinetry project. Shlomo did the design from scratch and had the foresight to recommend changes to the kitchen area in order to have a great kitchen layout. He has an exceptional eye for detail. The quality of the cabinets is excellent and the installation job was done perfectly. The install crew was meticulous and careful during the job and they worked very efficiently. And they delivered two weeks before the planned completion date. Shlomo is very customer oriented and goes to great lengths to ensure client satisfaction and he even calls in on Sundays. Last but not least they bring honesty from the heart. I highly recommend them for any cabinetry work.

Shlomo and his team did a fantastic job for us. We recently had a project which was making and painting panels for a new fridge. They did the work quickly, on time, with excellent quality and a very fair price. But, above and beyond what could reasonably be expected, when there was a problem with installing the panels on the fridge as it was being installed by the dealer, they arrived at our house within half an hour and quickly and effectively solved the problem. This was real service on a small job!!

Shlomo is a master cabinetmaker, and his team of workers are knowledgeable and skilled too. Our lighted glass shelves make our apartment glow with our collections. Shlomo is available for any tweak of the design needed. I have seen several of his projects and they are all well done and beautiful.

Shlomo, Willie, and the team have been a delight to work with, and I’m so glad that I found them! After another contractor was a complete disaster, As It Should Be Cabinetry fixed my kitchen ceiling and floor, installed lights, cabinets, appliances, etc., and completely revamped my little condo. We had an opportunity to work with Shlomo and his team to restore cabinet fronts, to match other existing cabinets. The fronts look better than new, very satisfied with the result. In addition, Shlomo was great in his communications; responded quickly to requests, scheduled the work well in advance and was flexible in his scheduling. He and his team showed up exactly when scheduled and made sure they cleaned up after. Will definitely use again if the need arises.

You should pick “As It Should Be” for your next cabinetry project. Friends whose taste and judgment we trust recommended Shlomo and the team at “As It Should Be” to us. From the moment we reached out, Shlomo was prompt, responsive, and understanding of first-time homeowners on their first project.

Shlomo came to our house and walked through with me the two concepts I had in mind. He asked key questions that helped better shape the ideas, took the necessary measurements, then followed up in short order with a clear proposal and quote. The pricing was competitive and within our budget. Once we decided to move forward, the team delivered on the carpentry faster than we expected. Max and the team who did the carpentry were friendly and understanding of two tired parents who had to work in the house through the day. The work they performed was impeccable.

The final product? 1) Built-in bookshelves with a table-height counter and drawers below: a showstopper and the new centerpiece of our living room; and 2) a ceiling-high pantry cabinet in our kitchen, attached to a new counter with a built-in garbage/recycling drawer. We are thrilled with the quality of these pieces, which have truly made our new home our own.

As It Should be consistently provided us with top quality cabinets and service. We first worked with them to design and install two built in cabinets. Shlomo listened to what we wanted and designed cabinets that met our functional needs and also looked great. In fact, at least one neighbor who saw the cabinets As It Should Be designed hired them to install their cabinets.

Recently we needed a minor change, installing two additional shelves. This was a much simpler job, but Shlomo and his team gave it the same level of attention that they would give to a larger project. The final product is just what we wanted.

I will also note that they are responsive, pleasant, and reasonably priced.

I recommend them to anybody looking for elegant, high quality cabinetry.

Excellent work product, we are very pleased. The entire team was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish - meticulous, considerate of our needs, everyone took great pride in their individual efforts. AISB is much in demand so best to plan on a long period between planning and a completed project.

They did a great job on our vanity years ago and when we needed to update As It should be made it look new! Excellent craftsmen.
