I've used case before at my previous home. It was a large Reno (over 150K). I've had a few people tell me that Case is different now. But, since I've used them before I went ahead and reached out to them. They came out to do a site visit for another large project at my new home. The guy remembered me so I thought, this is great. After that I never heard from him and tried to reach out and nothing. Pretty disappointing. I ultimately found a new contractor and so far so good.

Thank you again for everything, working with you, and the Case team, has truly been a great experience. We are thrilled with the craftsmanship of the work and the manner in which our home, and our dog, was treated during the whole project. Including the contract and payment process - from the services and work being delivered as promised, to the credit we received for the overestimate. I look forward to working with you, and Case Design, again in the future!

My dated, uninspired, dirty-looking kitchen/entryway/dining room/powder room has been transformed into a welcoming, contemporary, zen-like place of beauty. Sure, I envisioned it, but it was Adrian, Colleen, Shawn, and the other folks at Case Design who made it happen.
Living in a 9th-floor condominium with limited parking/loading and elevator access, and a confined indoor space in which to work, made it a challenge to completely tear down, clear out, and rebuild. Shawn made it look (almost) easy. In addition, I've had
a yoga wall built, bookshelves installed, and a few other tricky maneuvers that Adrian creatively (and patiently) resolved for me.
Their attention to detail, their clarity and promptness in communicating, their good humor, and their quality workmanship are exemplary. They also offer their friendly, informative, and oh-so-supportive presence at every stage of what can be an extremely stressful process.
A point of comparison: After finally deciding on my backsplash tile, I decided to save a few dollars and allow an employee from the tile store to install it. I had to have the installer come back three times (yes, three times) to correct silly/sloppy mistakes and simply clean up his mess. I feel silly myself for not having Case do it in the first place. Live and learn. I will definitely be calling Case in the future when I’m ready to do more work on my home. -
Case Design/Remodeling is an exceptional company. After successfully completing several minor projects for us over the years, my wife and I contracted with them to do a full remodel of our kitchen and to construct an adjacent addition to our house. Our project team was superb. Our architect TJ was a perfect collaborator who created an elegant and inspired design. Our project manager Kevin kept us up-to-date on all details and was always available to solve any issues that arose. John, who did the bulk of the onsite work, was excellent, personable, and diligent. Senior designer Adrian gave us honest, expert guidance from project inception to completion. Our remodel was done on time, on budget, and turned out better than we’d envisioned. We will use Case for any future home projects.

I have had two spaces remodeled by Case, one a Master Bathroom , in which the space was completely reconfigured, and three years later, after purchasing a condo in a nearby Senior Living residence.Dave and his excellent team were able to plan spaces in both places that actually were better than I had imagined. The condo was a complete renovation, and with tile and cabinet selections in-store, with professional guidance, my job of making selections was simplified. The team kept me in the loop by having once-a -week meetings at the space, which, by the time I moved in, made it feel like my home.

Many people are all too willing to share their construction horror stories. It's (almost) enough to make you decide to live with tired and dated bathrooms. Well this is a different story. It's a love story that involves a master bath in need of a full gut reno, two other bathrooms in need of updates, and a fabulous company, Case Design/Remodeling, Inc.
We loved our experience working with Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Our story started at a kitchen and bath remodeling seminar at their offices in Bethesda. Designers Adrian Andreassi and Samantha Klickna opened our eyes to the possibilities. When they talked about the Case process and the 5 year warranty, we really got interested. We value a company that stands behind its work. Adrian and Samantha came to our home, got ideas about what we liked and what we didn't. When we met again at the Case showroom, they offered suggestions, gave us choices of materials and products, and really listened to what we had to say. They took our ideas and made them better...much, much better!
Before construction we had a meeting with the design team, the project manager and a few key team members to ensure that everyone was on the same page. All surfaces were protected before work even began. The craftsmen were outstanding: skilled, polite and professional. And oh, were they tidy! They minimized dust, vacuumed up after themselves and cleaned up at every stage. They made everything seem not just doable, but almost effortless. Standouts included Project Manager, Stefan Eising, who deftly managed all of the craftsmen to maximize efficiency and responded quickly to every concern, Drew Davis, a skilled head carpenter and all-around miracle worker, whose calm manner and no-problem attitude made anything seem possible, Selvin, a truly gifted master of finish work who made everything he touched look better than new, and Samuel, a whiz with tile who offered suggestions and precision.
It might seem strange to write a thank you note to the crew that worked on your house, but we were moved to do just that. I wrote: "We want to thank everyone who worked on our house. This was a wonderful experience with a great outcome! I am a worrier by nature, but at every opportunity my worries were allayed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to teach us more about our house and explain how things work. We are delighted with all the changes!"
We love everything that was done. Using our master bath feels like visiting a luxury hotel. The changes to the other baths have given them a fresh new start. We couldn't be happier with Case and recommend them without reservation or hesitation. -
I engaged case for the first an only time several years ago for an expansion of my kitchen. We planned everything well in Advance and case completed the work generally on time. This was refreshing after my experience with many other contractors over the years. However my conclusion is beyond completing the work on time they are not worth the money because their follow up is actually terrible. We noticed numerous small items like poorly hung cabinet doors. Asking them to come by and fix something is useless since they either deny or deflect. I got over most of these minor nuisances over the years by having my handyman fix much of their work. However it regularly also rains in my kitchen now and I also have to redo the roof. If I have to redo all of these items that they installed then why pay a premium for their service. I wouldn’t recommend them.

My home project which was creating an additional room in my home was done exceptionally well. My Project Manager was Brian. He was very professional and accessible. He made my vision a reality when my husband doubted it and now loves it.
The construction team and Buck the Electrician were very knowledgeable and experts at their tasks. I wouldn't use any other company for home renovations. Their smart. Everyone was on time, clean, thorough, licensed, insured, trusting and professional.
I am known to be very picky and at times indecisive because I am a perfectionist. CASE/Fred met all of my expectations and I had a great first time renovation experience. -
Case remodeled our powder room this spring and we are thrilled with their work. Kelly was attentive from the beginning, outlining the project and explaining the timeline, which was followed perfectly. Kay helped with design, Loren with supervision, and Bill Shaw was fabulous with installation. Bill was a joy to work with, a master craftsman, clear in explaining our options, always checking to see that we were satisfied and a delight to have in our home.
We liked Case’s team concept; each member of the team was available if needed. -
Case Design Remodeling was one of the companies I called to give me a bid on a job after the contractor we selected to do the job decided it would not do. Our project was more of a cosmetic renovation and we had many of the materials needed to complete the work, so we decided to go with another vendor because it's more of a general contractor job. However, I will say that I was impressed with Lisa Cortright's responsiveness, with the professionalism of their project management approach -- far superior to some other vendors I've seen. I've also seen photos of their work -- beautiful. They also know their stuff with respect to environmentally preferable materials and methods. I will definitely be calling Case for a bid when we are ready for our next big project.

My wife and I have used Case Design for a complete kitchen makeover and Case's "Fred" handyman service for several smaller jobs. Most recently, Doug B visited us to replace a number of cabinet hinges and to adjust a bathroom door so that it closes properyl. In every instance, Case has been completely professional, thorough, and dependable. As a plus, their craftsmen have to a person been pleasant, courteous, and enjoyable. Don't look for the least expensive fix. Go with a company like Case that gets the job done correctly and stands behind their work.

I have worked with Case design for many years and the team has always been courteous, responsive and professional. The design team is extremely knowledgeable and hands on to ensure clients get the style and function best suited for their own individual needs. Having worked especially close with Mary, Colleen, John and Melissa on multiple projects Im extremely confident in recommending Case design for any budget. From start to finish Case has always impressed me with the level of service, attention to detail, and amazing results. I highly recommend Case design.

I had a bathroom remodeled and a kitchen floor replaced by Case Design. I was very happy with the entire experience with all Case staff. The initial phase of design was led by Lisa, and she was extremely helpful; without her help, the finished project would not look so terrific. Her assistance in choosing styles and colors was invaluable and very time-saving. She was also very responsive by phone and email throughout the project.
I was especially impressed that the cost and the timeline of the project did not change from start to finish. The lead project manager, carpenters, and tile men were always professional and personable. There was someone working each day, all day throughout the project timeline. I have had several remodeling projects done in my home, but this was the first time that work was done every day on the project.
I would strongly recommend Case Design to others. Besides the excellent customer service, the work was of high quality. -
Our new kitchen and bathroom remodels by Case are absolutely gorgeous. They came up with a design for the kitchen that really opens up the entire main floor and ads a lot of light. They helped us to not be afraid of colors, which made the kitchen and bathroom more vibrant. All of the staff from designers to project manager, to master carpenter, and other subcontractors they brought in were all highly professional, dependable and great to work with. We will absolutely work with them the next project we have!

Case recently completed a project that addressed two spaces, our deck and kitchen. Our team - Colleen, Adrian, Elizabeth, Stefan and Tyler - was unbelievable! They were knowledgeable, professional, highly skilled, and easy to communicate with. They anticipated problems/issues, recommended alternatives, kept to the budget and finished the project exactly on time! They were available to us throughout every step of the process - design, materials selection, appliance selection, coordination with contractors, problem resolution (of which there were very few), scheduling, etc. Every single member of the team was highly skilled and knowledgeable about their respective areas. We were totally comfortable having the Case team on our home for three months. We'd like to give special recognition to Tyler who was here every day and continually went above and beyond to meet our needs and expectations and whose carpentry skills are exceptional! Our new kitchen is gorgeous and totally functional. Family and friends are amazed at the total transformation of the space. We've received so many compliments about the design, quality of materials, and craftsmanship in our new kitchen. We will definitely recommend Case for any remodeling project.

We have employed Case Design/Remodeling several times over the last three decades for projects large and small. We contracted with Case to design a family room and master bedroom that doubled the size of our house. Later, they remodeled our kitchen. Still later, we hired them to add a portico to the front of the house. Most recently, they have updated three of our bathrooms. Those are the large projects. Then there are the many small projects that they are also happy to do--such as building closets, fixing walkways, reattaching shutters, planing doors, painting, and so on and so on. Why have we kept coming back to Case over so many years? Because they do excellent work. From time to time, we have tried to cut corners by hiring out projects to the cheapest bidder. We have found that that usually doesn't work in the long run. Some of the things we have used Case for amounted to fixing what was poorly done by less reliable companies.
When Case redid our kitchen and the refrigerator was removed, someone forgot to turn off the water feed for the ice-maker. The next morning, I heard something in the basement and went down to discover water running along the walls of the downstairs bedroom and onto the carpet. In a panic, I called the project manager. They were out immediately. After fixing the leak, they took complete charge of restoring the downstairs bedroom. At their own expense, they hired a company to come and blow-dry the carpet. They fixed the drywall that had swollen and repainted the affected areas so expertly that it is impossible to tell that anything ever happened. They never charged us a cent for all that reconstructive work.
Our most recent interaction with Case was with project manager Adrian Andreassi and master carpenter extraordinaire Kevin Davis. It was an altogether pleasant experience. No one ever pushed us into signing up for more than we were willing to pay for. They unquestioningly put our desires first, regardless of what they may have privately thought. They respected the fact that this is our home and is therefore especially dear to us. Before they started on anything, the rest of the house was sealed off with a wall of plastic, and all carpets and exposed surfaces were covered. There is absolutely nothing I would complain about or that I would argue could have been done better. -
We had a fantastic experience with Case remodeling our kitchen. They were responsive and helped us work within our budget for an excellent outcome! We could not be happier with the finished product.

We worked with Dave and his team at Case on a 2023 kitchen & bathroom renovation and family room addition for our 70-year-old home in Silver Spring and we could not be happier with the work and the result. We interviewed several design/build firms, architects, and builders. Dave was the only one who, in an initial visit, specifically talked about how the team could create fencing during the construction to keep our dog safe and with access to the yard. That level of thoughtfulness continued throughout our experience working with Case. Dave and his team were incredibly responsive to our needs, questions, and concerns. Their answer to any question we had on if we could do something was always "yes." We've told everyone who asks that Dave /Case finished our project on time and budget, and our house is stunning. And - here's another thing I think is important: I'd heard so many horror stories about how working with folks in a male-dominated industry meant that women clients were often ignored, talked over, treated disrespectfully (i.e. wanting to only deal with the "man" of the household) and that NEVER happened with anyone at Case. I really can't say enough about how great the experience was -so I'll say this - we're already daydreaming about our next project with Dave and his team.

This is the second time we have used Case, first for a complete kitchen, sunroom, and mudroom remodel and now for a large laundry room. We really love how easy they make the entire process: First they come to your house to see the space and discuss what your needs/visions are. Then they create plans and meet with you at their office to show design options and layouts and what you can do at various price levels. We worked with John Audet both times who has great knowledge, experience, and judgement in coming up with a great looking and well laid out design, beside being a pleasure to work with. Then they adjust the design with you as much as needed until is it exactly what you want. Next you meet at their office where they have a variety of high quality cabinets, tiles, countertops, and hardware to choose from which saves a huge amount of time and driving, which you would otherwise do if you chose outside suppliers, which we love! The construction process is then laid out on a schedule, which they kept both times. The quality of their work is excellent as is the communication. We ended up with beautiful, high quality rooms each time and give them our highest recommendation.

Case was a great partner in the renovation of my townhouse, a renovation I had been planning for 20 years! They provided the expertise and design advice to make the final project beautiful. My Case team walked me through multiple options and helped me craft the right choices for the remodel of my basement, three bathrooms, home-wide flooring and painting.
What I most appreciate, however, is there diligence when hiccups with the county permitting caused a months-long delay. They were always on top with updates and explanations. They tracked every issue and jumped on the county's requests for further information. They also pushed the project along as far as they could wall we waited for the county to act.
Once we got the go ahead, they executed and completed the project within their original timeline perfectly. Every detail was covered and the communication back and forth was very helpful.
They quality of work is outstanding and I'm thrilled with the results. My team of Adrian, Greg and Alexandria did a superb job and I would highly recommend Case (and have recommended Case) to anyone who asks me. -
Case did a major gut renovation of our kitchen and mudroom in 2024. We had an excellent experience and the finished product was everything we wanted and more! Our case developers were the husband/wife team of Colleen and Neil Shaut (with design help from Marykate Mickelson), who provided helpful guidance every step of the way. We were particularly impressed with how Colleen and Neil took our "dream kitchen" vision and efficiently turned it into a plan and then reality. They were patient and highly collaborative throughout the process. Finally, as with any major project there were a couple of odds and ends at the end that needed refining (e.g., ensuring exact placement and spacing between our new range and adjacent countertops), which, because their clients cared about it, so did Case. They ensured that we were totally and completely satisfied with the finished product before they packed their bags. I'd highly recommend Case and, specifically, Colleen and Neil Shaut to any home owner looking for a contractor to perform a renovation, large or small. - Eric
