Constraction reviews in Warwick, Rhode Island

I was first introduced to Rouben and Build Pros by a friend who had used Build Pros. I myself have been designing and selling kitchens and baths for 40 plus years. I'm also a remodeling contractor so I look at everything with a very experienced and critical viewpoint. I pitched my services to Rouben and he had me quote several jobs. We didn't connect at first but I didn't give up. That was a little over two years ago and since then we have done many kitchens together. I very much enjoy partnering with Build Pros on projects.

Rouben has built a highly successful company through hard work, listening to his clients needs and surrounding himself with great people. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to partner with Build Pros. The diversity of work that Build Pros does is amazing! See for yourself on social media. Rouben posts the progress of his projects frequently. You can feel the excitement and enthusiasm that Rouben has for his projects. From the planning stages to completion Build Pros gets it done in a very professional and timely manor. Rouben also communicates very clearly to his clients what is going to happen and also is very sensitive to clients budgets.

I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Rouben and Build Pros. Whatever your project needs are be it commercial or residential you will be making a very wise decision to work with Build Pros.

BuildPros have been amazing when we had our renovations done. We renovated our bathroom and kitchen. They helped make the whole process bearable and as budget friendly as possible. I’d like to praise their dedication in hitting a standard in their work; the tiles we selected were large and difficult to level flat on our uneven ground but after the first pass was unsatisfactory they re-leveled and succeeded the second pass. We’d also like to appreciate the craftsmanship of their Carpenter, making a lot of the woodwork we required seamless and to what we envisioned. Throughout this entire renovation they made feel very safe and comfortable to carry on our daily activities in the house. The communication for every step was prompt and clear, it made working with everyone on their team very easy. We’d highly recommend anyone in their area of operation to use as a contractor. Definitely work with them again!

I had Rouben and the team at Buildpros renovate the 2nd floor of my 1860 farm house in Wakefield RI. This consisted of a complete renovation of one bathroom, a partial renovation of a 2nd bathroom and ripping out some awful carpeting and refinishing the original wide-plank pine that was buried underneath. The whole project was a real challenge because the floors were really uneven and it came out great. The price was very reasonable (tied for the lowest among 3 bids), the quality was great, and Rouben's communication was fantastic. He always responds to questions/concerns, usually the same day. It is clear to me Rouben loves what he does and takes pride in his work.

Rouben and the buildPro team were wonderful and they created a stunning master bathroom for us that was beyond our expectations. Mike, the project manager was absolutely top-notch. They were there when they said they would be there, they took great care to protect the rest of the house from damage, and they were always conscientious and respectful. Dan, their tile guy was nothing short of amazing – exactly the kind of perfectionist tradesman you want on a job with an abundance of tile. The precision he used in wrapping our large subway tiles around several walls and corners is extraordinary.  Communication was excellent and when there were issues, they were always resolved promptly. The job ended up taking longer and was more expensive than we originally planned but that’s because we tweaked the design by adding a ton more tile than called for in the original design. We’re already talking to Rouben about remodeling our kitchen. Onto the next project!

Exceptional Craftsmanship, Professionalism, and Post-Project Dedication

I took ownership of a multi-family home in disrepair. Needing everything, I decided to start with the exterior envelope of siding, windows, roof, and remodel of the front porch area. The contractor that was hired to do the exterior was less than professional, borderline criminal. I managed to complete the exterior with various other contractors, however the property still needed a full turnover of both bathrooms, the entire first floor unit, and some exterior hardscaping and concrete work. After that nightmare experience with the previous contractor for my exterior siding, roof, and windows, I was understandably hesitant to embark on another renovation project. However, my fears were quickly dispelled when we hired Rouben with buildPros for our interior renovation and some exterior demolition and concrete work. From start to finish, Rouben and his team exhibited a level of professionalism and expertise that was nothing short of remarkable.

First and foremost, the quality of their workmanship exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and precision evident in every aspect of the project was truly impressive. Whether it was the flawless installation of intricate trim work indoors or the meticulous restoration of our exterior masonry, Rouben demonstrated a commitment to excellence that was unparalleled.

Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, Rouben at buildPros prioritized open communication, ensuring that my vision was realized every step of the way. He was extremely responsive to my questions and concerns, always taking the time to address them promptly and professionally.

l was particularly impressed by their reliability and efficiency. Despite my changes in the scope of the project, Rouben adhered to the agreed-upon timeline and budget without sacrificing quality. Their ability to seamlessly coordinate various aspects of the renovation ensured that everything progressed smoothly, minimizing any disruption to my daily life.

Perhaps most remarkable, however, was buildPros ability to deliver exceptional results while adhering to our budgetary constraints. Despite the complexity of the project, they were diligent in their cost management, offering creative solutions to keep expenses in check without compromising on quality. Their transparency and integrity in financial matters instilled a level of trust that is rare to find in the industry.

What truly set Rouben and builPros apart, however, was their unwavering dedication to ensuring my complete satisfaction, even after the project was officially completed. Unlike my previous experience, where the contractor vanished with payment before project completion, Rouben remained fully engaged and committed to addressing any minor issues or concerns that arose post-project.

Their willingness to return promptly and address even the smallest of issues demonstrated a level of professionalism and integrity that is truly commendable. Whether it was adjusting a door that wasn't closing quite right or touching up paint in a hard-to-reach corner, Rouben and his team approached each task with the same level of care and attention to detail as they did during the initial construction phase.

I personally cannot speak highly enough of Rouben and his team at buildPros. Their combination of exemplary craftsmanship, unwavering professionalism, and post-project dedication sets a new standard for excellence in the industry. Thanks to buildPros, my home has been transformed, and I am forever grateful for their outstanding work and commitment to our satisfaction. If you're in need of a general contractor, look no further than buildPros — you won't be disappointed.

My project was the full replacement of the wind damaged roof for a large 6000+ sq. ft home. The added complexity for me was, my tenant was in moving out and I live in a completely different state 10 hrs. driving distance so I called Rouben and requested him to give me the estimates urgently.

Rouben was extremely professional, cooperative and very understanding with the overall situation. He gave me the detailed estimation of work, worked around my tenant’s move out timeline and got the whole roof done in just 3 days. Over and above, he completed the project $1k less than his original estimation. In addition, he did few additional fixes needed to the roof and windows as well.

In my 25+ years of working with the contractors, I never had such an amazing experience. So I strongly recommend Rouben and buildPROS for any roof replacement or home improvement work. He will be the most honest, cost conscious and highly reliable contractor and will get the job done in time.

Great job by Rouben and crew doing an extensive home renovation! Creative ideas by Rouben helped us stretch our budget to get what we wanted. Would hire again!

Editing my review to add my husband's perspective -- for some reason his Google review is not showing up. So here are his words:

"If you're looking for beautiful work, great guys to work with, and keeping costs down, you should hire buildPROS.

My mom owned her house for years, and after we had to move her into nursing care, we decided to remodel the place and rent it to pay for her care costs. The place had been neglected for years and required a complete remodeling, including new kitchen, bathrooms, deck, and completely redone interior. The big builders in the area quoted us astronomical prices and gave vague, crappy estimates. We were almost ready to give up until we called buildPROS.

Reuben listened carefully to our situation and quoted a cost 30% less than the other contractors. They have this great software they created themselves that gives you a specific line item estimate for every detail in the construction. Maybe this is why the final cost was within 1% of the original estimate, despite a number of challenges with the old house.

The guys were friendly, easy to work with, and really cared that everything was done just the way we wanted. We were inexperienced at remodeling and new to renting. Reuben made a number of excellent recommendations for cost effective materials and design choices that looked beautiful and would stand up to years of hard wear.

The house looks amazing now! It's renting for top dollar, and we're already getting repeat business. We were lucky to get a customer-focused contractor that took the time to understand what we needed and deliver a beautiful result. I'd definitely hire these guys again, and recommend them to anyone, especially if it's a complex project with special requirements.

Hire buildPROS. You'll be happy you did!"

I hired BuildPROS in 2021 to redo a kitchen, and then rehired them this year to redo our basement. I rehired them because I knew the result would be good.

I have not hired many contractors in my life so do not have many points of reference, but BuildPROS did the work to my satisfaction and I would trust them to do it again. Rouben cares to satisfy his customers (he knows it matters) and is experienced in this business.

Timelines slipped both times, but not egregiously. I suppose I expected them to slip.

Price wise, BuildPROS seem middle of the road. I paid more overall than I expected to both times but not by a huge margin.

The kitchen work was done while we were not living in the house yet, but we were living in the house while the basement work was carried out. I was annoyed that some of the workers kept leaving the door open even though it was winter - I told Rouben and he successfully made them close the doors from then on. In general communication was pretty good - Rouben was responsive and always helpful.

At the end of the basement work there were some little things that were not perfect (clearly not all the employees are perfectionists), but they fixed everything we asked for. It would be nice if I didn’t have to do that but it’s probably hard to predict what various customers will be nit picky about.

Rouben is also just easy to talk to and work with and that counts for a lot, makes any issues that come up so much easier to resolve. I give BuildPROS 5 stars.

We had a roof leak earlier this year and call Rouben and team. They came out immediately to assess the damage which ended up being more than initially thought. They were super helpful and worked with us step by step through the insurance claim process. We used them for another project last year and didn't hesitate to reach out again. Their professionalism, timeliness, and quality make using them an easy choice.

Rouben and the buildPROS team are beyond excellent and are a team that I would highly recommend!

We had excessive termite damage in our home’s sill and joists and Rouben’s team presented us with multiple options of how to fix the issue. Once we aligned on the best fix, Rouben and his team partnered with Terminix to implement a highly complex fix to our damaged beams while also allowing for remediation of the still-active termite issue.

On top of this, when the project met some complications and went over-budget, Rouben and his team honored our original cost.

On top of all this, Rouben’s team was highly professional, did excellent work, and left our home looking cleaner than they found it when the job was done. Their craftmanship was fantastic.

I will be going directly to buildPROS for all future projects and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a contracting project, big or small.

We are so glad we worked with Rouben and buildPROS for our renovations. His team opened up a load bearing wall in our older home and we love the results. The team was timely, the carpentry was excellent, and we also ended up under budget from the first quote. We will call Rouben again for our next project.

We hired BuildPros to manage and construct a one of kind mixed use commercial building in Providence RI that took 2 years to complete in 2 different phases. It was a very complicated project that started from demolition to excavation/shoring and construction. Not only did it get completed on time for each phase but that was done during the most unprecedented historic pandemic this world has seen in a century. Rouben, owner, managed this project personally and was in constant motion to make sure that this project was run smoothly with constant reporting. Rouben was always available and in constant contact throughout the 2 years of this project. One thing that is key is constant communication and planning. In construction that is extremely rare to be available and finish on time. I would strongly recommend BuildPros for your projects if you want them to run smoothly. If not then choose someone else.

When we bought a new commercial building for our law firm, we needed a construction company that was local, experienced, easy to work with, and with the experience and know how to get the job done. Rouben, the owner, was responsive to us throughout the process. The process was as smooth as could be from the moment we started discussing our needs, generating a detailed proposal, and then executing on the project. As a lawyer, one satisfying part of working with Buildpros was the excellent communication. Rouben and team were proactive, using technology and photographs, and having everything in writing so we knew where we stood and what had to be done. We are very happy with the end result - if you need our personal injury law services, visit us at 1155 Newport Ave and you can see the craftsmanship from Buildpros!

I was trying to come home after a long day of doing a roof trying to park both my truck and van but these guys blocked my way in with their truck. Both of my vehicles require lots of space to back up since its a tight street and i called them they say they’re in boston so i had to wait til the night to move both my vehicles there and not to mention they parked on the side where it clearly says no park either side.Unbelievable

We remodeled our small bath and Rouben was really responsive about a quote. They were able to address all of my big concerns (the floor around the toilet was uneven and the bathtub needed to be completely gutted). He was always a text away, gave design suggestions but ultimately let me realize my vision, and came in right around his original estimate. We even were able to add a built in shelf and herringbone pattern tile. They came back a few days later to touch up tiny details to make sure I was completely satisfied. Would highly recommend and use them again for future projects. Oh, and they’re dog friendly and my dog is a MONSTER. One of them even brought her snausages.

Rouben and Mike and John and Chuck were amazing! They showed up on time and were responsive and reliable. We had a separate issue from a bathroom upstairs come up (had nothing to do with the kitchen reno) and they promptly fixed the leak for us. I appreciate them going above and beyond to help us out! And our kitchen turned out great. We recommend them to friends and plan to use them for future renovations! If you need a reliable contractor give them a call.

Rouben and his team did a shower stall repair/remodel in my home. I was so pleased with the outcome! They stand by their work 100%! I highly recommend them!

Build Pros provided the highest level of quality when they helped design and install an entire inlaw apartment for my children. The communication with the crew was excellent from the beginning to the end of the project. They left the job completely cleaned up and followed up with a punch list to insure that we were very happy with the final result.

Rouben was excellent to work with. His prices were reasonable and transparent. The folks that did the work were kind and great at explaining things and asking us before doing anything that veered from the original plan. We were able to text and email Rouben and he responded promptly. He came by daily to inspect the progress and check in with us. Although BuildPros mostly does larger projects, Rouben does a great job with small remodels too. We're thrilled with the results and would recommend his company to anyone in the area.

I had a custom built shed put on my property. Excellent craftsmanship. They made you feel like you were a part of the construction. I would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot speak highly enough of Rouben and his team (we worked most closely with him and Mike). The quality of work, communication, speed, customer service, everything was flawless. Great price too!

We have a new custom catio (patio for our cats!) and it is sooo cool! Check out the photos!

We had originally hired someone else for this project and after several months of poor communication, they stopped responding entirely. I called a few other places and everyone was so excited for the work but then didn't call back or show up. By the time I called buildPROS I was pretty frustrated and almost ready to give up on the project. Rouben answered my FIRST phone call, talked through the project with me on the spot, and then had his team out there in a matter of DAYS. They finished this project in only a couple of weeks and it came out AMAZING. Every question we had along the way was answered quickly, fully, patiently, and with options. They took the time to figure out what we wanted and to make sure that we got it. They helped us do this while still staying on budget. I felt like they genuinely cared that we were happy and even that they had some fun working on this! (As much fun as you can have lifting heavy things in the blazing hot sun.) I have pretty low expectations for contractors these days so I would have been happy with much less but they don't work that way. Honestly I didn't know there were contractors like this out there. Thanks guys for raising the bar! You have a new customer for life!
