Appliance Repair reviews in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

So first impression was polite, but went down hill fast......First he put his bag on the counter spilt a drink right next to it. Then gave me a part off my fridge and said can u go out and give that a shake. At least he asked nice, the last straw was he took my dish rag from my sink and cleaned my fridge parts ( seriously who does that). I did not know of this until he handed me my dish rag back to me at the of service. At the end we had a nice conversation and I took the high road and said thanks for fixing and be just be done. So it was just a odd experience

We had a bad experience with another repairman who basically just dismantled our washing machine and left. Then we called Landegent, Tom came over and fixed the machine. Professional and courteous, would recommend.

Their service was quick and efficient. We had a great experience working with them!

The man who came was terribly rude over the phone. He had trouble finding my place and scoffed that he didn’t think it existed. My dishwasher still leaked after he supposedly checked it out and when I called to have him return the woman who I talked to was also very rude.
When he finally came back he harshly criticized my dishwasher soap claiming that was the problem. I went out and bought generic soap with no power and my dishwasher still leaks.
Throwing my hard earned money down the toilet would’ve had the same result. Just horrible service.
In response to your reply,
I understand that my place is tricky to find, however, he barely let me explain how to find it. He asked my neighbors where my place was and then told me he didn’t think my home existed. There is no reason for that rude behavior.
When I called the first time I wasn’t accusing him of breaking the latch for the soap, I was simply pointing out that it wasn’t latching anymore to which the woman replied, “So you’re saying you think he broke your soap dispenser latch? I don’t think he did that but I will tell him that you think he did.” And then reluctantly said she’d see if he could fit it in his schedule to come see it like I’m such an inconvenience to him.
The second time he came he berated me for having soap x12. While me having a powerful soap might have been the problem I don’t appreciate being talked to that way. However, I did as he asked and went and got a soap that doesn’t have any power and it still leaks so that obviously wasn’t the problem.
I haven’t called again because I’m unconvinced he’d be able to fix it and even if he could I’m not going to give business to someone who would treat their customers that way. I thought family businesses were friendlier but I guess not in this case. -
We have a 5 year warranty through Home Depot. We went through them and received a subsequent call from Landegent's to schedule our appointment. We were told Wednesday from 1PM to 4PM. 10:02 Tom shows up. My wife scheduled all of her work calls for the morning so of course, she was on the phone when he arrived and our dog going bonkers. So I stay in the bedroom with our dog and 15 minutes later I get a text asking me to call him about our washer & dryer (both of which we requested service). I call him and he states he didn't find a problem. Well of course not with a shirt and two pairs of socks in there--the dryer is only noisy with a full load and the washer is only unbalanced on the final spin cycle with a full load.
So I asked him to come back and he insists he has done everything he could. I'm like, what??! Just come back and I'll show you. He again insisted he couldn't duplicate the issue and just kept saying 'I don't know what to tell you...it didn't do it for me'. Well of course not. They were also supposed to call before arriving. So not only did they show up at the wrong timeframe, they didn't call first. I would have thought some form of communication would have occurred prior to him leaving. It was very evident that he didn't want to spend any time on our issue. He suggested we take a video, like that would be any better than a) me telling you its doing it, or b) just coming back to see it for yourself.
After he keeps just saying 'Well, I just don't know what to tell you' I had kind of had enough so yes, I was upset. But the only thing he can manage to mumble out is 'Don't insult my integrity' Oh don't worry, you've done a fine job of that on your own. I work in a field that requires me to troubleshoot, and when someone has an intermittent problem, I do more than just try one thing and tell them catch you later, it didn't do it for me. I ask questions. One of them that he could have asked before he left would be, "Does it happen all the time?" to which my response would have been, yes with a full load in there. He was running the dryer with hardly anything in there and I don't know how he could have run a wash cycle in the whopping 18 minutes total he was here.
All in all, completely dissatisfied and Landegent's needs to keep their appointments straight and teach their technicians to ask questions and communicate better with their customers. Marcia said she had the appointment down from 8-4 not 1-4. My response to 8-4 would have been, "So sometime Wednesday?" Even the darn cable company does better than that. And no call ahead of time for us to get a load in there.
Overall, their tech we dealt with was lazy and not concerned about helping, rather just wanted to point out how well our appliances worked for him instead of finding out what the problem was. We will let Home Depot know they will NOT be coming over again and I can't recommend them based on scheduling errors and lack of competent employees.
Service: Dryer repair
EDIT: Your response is funny because we had no further interaction with you. We called Home Depot and requested another repair person. We never would have trusted you with our garage code, lol. The repair company that came out actually fixed our issue because they took the time to see what the appliance was doing (or in our case, NOT doing). We had another issue since and they tried to stick us with you guys again. We informed them of our previous experience and once again, they sent out your competitor, who once again, troubleshot and fixed our issue. You clearly have us confused with someone else. You had your chance and blew it. -
This is a top-notch business that truly takes care of its customers! The customer service is absolutely outstanding, and they go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I’ll definitely be calling them for any future needs. Huge shoutout to the team for providing a world-class experience—highly recommended! 🔥

This is my second time leaving this TERRIBLE “company” a review. I’m not sure how they get away with DELETING reviews. So here it is posted again:
Strongly discourage anyone from using this company. We had "Tom" come look at a washer that was leaking, his stay was a total of 6 minutes. He pulled a singular hair from the washer and said "yup this is the culprit". Then proceeded to say it needed a "software update". My wife noticed there was water on the floor minutes after he left and called him back- he came in again for a total of 2 minutes and touched the hose then said it was the hose. (Even though it was leaking from the bottom as my wife told him multiple times). He was too lazy to even pull the washer out. We never answered to replace the hose as that was just an easy answer for him to not actually inspect anything. We called another company and had it properly diagnosed as the water inlet valve and the inverter board. Upon reading reviews on Google and yelp there is multiple reviews of the lazy work of tom. 100% do not call this company if you want it even diagnosed correctly
EDIT: In response to the review. Unsurprised by the lack of accountability, dishonesty and deflecting. The hose wasn’t leaking, I don’t think you’re understanding, it ran for 3 more months with zero leaks, that was never where the leak came from to begin with, so no, zero interest in replacing a perfectly working part. Another company was shocked and disgusted by your behavior and misdiagnoses and we both laughed at the situation being blamed on a “software update”. Is that your typical work? Leaving and having to be called back? Says more about your company than anything. Yes, you pulled a singular hair and stated that was the culprit, bizarre behavior. As a note, no one said the inverter board was related to leaking, just something you lacked to even investigate to begin with. -
Fantastic appliance repair company. We've had them out several times to look at a washing machine, gas oven, and dryer and they've always been great to work with and fairly priced. Definitely recommend working with Landegent's.

Fantastic service. They came within 24 hours of our call, were easy to work with, solved the issue with our washer asap, and have very reasonable rates. I would highly recommend!

We own several rental properties, so having a reliable appliance repair company is HUGE for us — and these guys have been amazing. They respond quickly, fix things right the first time, and help us keep our tenants happy when appliances decide to quit at the worst times. Professional, fair, and truly great to work with. Highly recommend!

We add a first repair man come in for the diagnostic and the repair. It was still not repaired after the second. But a supervisor came the 3rd time and make it right. Management made it right, and we are happy with the outcome.
