HVAC reviews in Chattanooga, Tennessee

If they assign this contractor to you run as fast as you can away from them. They are absolutely terrible. They came out and misdiagnosed my HVAC unit twice, and tried to charge me for something that wasn’t broken. They have very unprofessional repair men that do not know what they’re doing. Awful!!

Nashville: had water in ductwork. Guy came out and looked for ten minutes, maybe. Said he doesn't know where it came from. He said he poked a hole in the duct and then informed me how I could "change it myself". I said but before changing I need to know where the water comes from and he said he didn't know, AGAIN. I asked him about the warranty covering the replacement or the diagnosis of water and he said "the warranty company says they cover duct work but they really don't". He then left. I struggled for 4 weeks for Fletcher to even supply the "detailed report" to the warranty company.
UPDATE: FLETCHERs raging owner called me a liar when I said that his tech "didnt know the cause of water". He claimed they submitted the report two days after the home visit. They refused to come back out to my home to properly diagnose and FINALLY submitted a report that magically knew the issue after warranty co was requesting them to come back out. They went from unresponsive and not knowing what the problem was to magically labeling my duct work as "missing a part" which is not covered by warranty. I got a second opinion through my warranty co and this company honestly diagnosed the issue and now it is a warranty covered repair. I'm escalating a complaint with the warranty co, BBB and attorney general because this was FRAUD.
Do NOT do business with these people if you care about your home. They appear to just use warranties to get easy jobs and not honor their part of the deal and at worst LIE about your home. Read other reviews here and stay away. I hope warranties cancel their contracts with them because that's clearly the only way they are in business. -
Semi-annual HVAC "tune-up" (inspection). FAHW and Fletcher scheduled within two days of service request. Cooper checked in en-route. On-time, professional, thorough, and took time to answer all our questions. Overall excellent service experience.

A disaster. Faith is incredibly unpleasant on the phone, they cancelled on us twice and we ended up cancelling the service all together deciding it wasn’t worth it to keep dealing with them if we had future issues. If your home warranty makes you use them you’d be better off just paying out of pocket.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend avoiding this company. From the incredibly rude and condescending office staff to the overall lack of service, you will deeply regret trusting these people with your home repair. I have more to write, but unfortunately it's 45 degrees in my home as I write this because Fletcher Heating and Air has yet to actually resolve any issues with our HVAC system.

Had nothing but a great experience with this company. The Tech Aaron who came out was very professional and kept me informed every step of the way. He deserves the 5 stars!! make sure to take care of him and keep him around. Aaron thanks for the awesome job!!

I’ve had mixed experiences with Fletcher Heating & Air. On the positive side, they are usually quick to respond and have a convenient communication system (text, email, and phone) that makes scheduling easy. Some of their employees also seem genuinely dedicated to their craft, and I appreciate that they’re a local company.
Unfortunately, my overall experience has been extremely negative. Fletcher has been the only company dispatched through my American Home Shield warranty to service my HVAC system in the last year. Despite multiple visits, the issues with my unit were never resolved fully and I had to record video proof of the issues, and shortly after their work my home developed serious water damage. The HOA confirmed the source was the A/C drain line, which is something that verbally Fletcher last modified or at least confirmed there was an issue. The point was my AC was having issues draining and would shut off constantly. They made changes. It started working no problem but then when it rained really bad somehow the unit suddenly drained into the attic after 4 years of no such problem. Now my property has extensive ceiling, wall, and carpet damage, including mold!
Rather than taking responsibility or even filing a liability claim, Fletcher denied any connection, an explanation that makes no logical sense given they were the last company to touch the system. In addition, I later found out they complained about me to my roommate while I was out of the country for work, which was both unprofessional and unnecessary.
While I can appreciate a company that responds quickly and usually communicates well, at the end of the day what matters is accountability and quality workmanship. In my case, Fletcher failed on both fronts. I cannot recommend them. -
We had a complimentary routine tune up reminder from our home warranty (AHS)…who we totally love! Fletcher contacted us, and even provided same day service. Brandon showed up on time, and was very thorough. He found an issue with a part on our unit that wasn’t within specifications. I put in a service call and he promptly replaced it. He went above and beyond ensuring our unit was in prefect working order. We definitely recommend AHS warranty and Fletcher Heating and Air!

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from Fletcher Heating and Air. Over the past three weeks, they have come to our home three different times, and each visit resulted in a new supposed issue, or an excuse about not having the right tool, and then they would just leave without actually fixing anything.
On their most recent visit, they told us the blower wasn’t working. After our home warranty company inspected it, we were informed that the wires to the blower had been completely pulled out — something that is clearly not normal wear and tear. Fletcher was the only company that had worked on our unit and I don’t even know how to access it so there is only one explanation of how that could have happened. Because of this, our claim was denied, and we’re now left without heat.
As I’m writing this, my family is in a 55-degree house, huddled around space heaters, and not a single issue on the unit has been resolved despite multiple appointments. We expected professional service and honest troubleshooting, but that is far from what we received.
I could not recommend this company less. -
This company won't come back after my insurance had told them I requested service. Technician came 1 time and said my HVAC is new and nothing is your with it. I smell burning and smoke so I called my insurance to get them back, but they said nothing is wrong and that I only want a new unit. Kimberly, if you read this, my unit is new, I wanted it checked coz I don't want to burn in my own house. DO NOT GET THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICE!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

If it wasn’t for American Home Shield sending this company to my property, I would never hire them, based on their unpleasant office assistants and unknowledgeable technicians.
The process started with a technician coming out and discovering the problem with my Mini-split system…but wouldn’t/couldn’t fix the Freon leak!!?? So I had to wait over a week for someone to repair the leak.
But it was only on their convenient schedule, because they weren’t willing to work with my schedule. So I had to take time off work!
It gets worse, because they were also there to repair our second Mini-split…which they didn’t. Instead, they closed the job as if the work had been completed. So, I had to reopen the work order with (AHS).
After waiting 3 weeks and inquiring when a new system would be installed, I had to get AHS call the company. And weirdly, the new system miraculously showed up , as if it had been back ordered.
Now here’s the topper…when I asked if the installation team would guarantee their work, he replied that he would guarantee it would be working when they left…but wouldn’t guarantee their workmanship!!!
Now what kind of crap is that?! -
Just called about my brand new unit that was installed by Fletcher Heating and Air and was treated poorly. I told them about the brand new unit not heating my home. I was rudly talked to by the female on the phone and they refused to come back out and told me to call my home warranty. I've never been treated this way by any company who guaranteed their work. I will be using everything in my power to get the proper working equipment in my home. Any company who talks to you rudely then refuses to check they work is problematic at best.

Had an emergency with an HVAC unit for a client, Fletcher was there next day to see what was going on. Evaluated issue, wasn't what we thought and suggested a simple repair. Followed up to make sure everything was working and in order. Very grateful they were able to advise, were prompt and honest!

This company was sent through my warranty company American Home Shield in November. Weeks went by without hearing anything from them after they lied and said they were ordering parts. A few more days went by and my online portal said that my service request was completed. I contacted their rude and unprofessional dispatcher who yelled and said I needed a part and had to pay out of pocket without sending the warranty company a invoice or diagnosis.. Long story short they destroyed my unit and left exposed wires everywhere in the attic. The second contractor refused to repair their mess up and said this wasn’t the 1st time they’ve had to go behind them. I had to go back and forth for over a month because Fletcher wasn’t cooperating with the warranty company and insisted they didn’t do what a 3rd contractor came out and confirmed. I will be reporting them to the board because their lack of professionalism is unreal..

I filed a claim through my home warranty when my heating unit stopped working, and Fletcher Heating & Air was sent. My experience was awful.
The technician said I needed a control board but admitted he knew nothing about ordering parts. Since it was the week before Thanksgiving and not yet cold, I agreed to wait. The company promised to return with the part, but on the day of the appointment they called to say the wrong part had been delivered. After several more days, they came again—only to discover the part didn’t fit. As temperatures dropped, this cycle repeated.
When I asked why, the dispatcher said the owner kept ordering incorrectly. Later, a manager named Fatih from the Nashville office called me. She was extremely rude, insisting the owner hadn’t ordered wrong and blaming my “cheap” warranty, claiming Trane no longer made parts for my unit. Upset, I asked my warranty company to send someone else, but they refused because Fletcher reported another part was on order.
At that point, I hired a different company myself. I gave them my unit’s serial number, they verified the correct part with Trane, and installed it the very next day. My heat has worked perfectly ever since.
Shockingly, Fletcher’s owner later called to say my warranty had approved a new unit because the part “did not exist,” but that I would have to pay out-of-pocket. When I explained everything, he dismissed me and hung up.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise against using this company. -
Fletcher was great! They were super fast to book an appointment when our heat went out. They were very kind. Shane, our tech, was extremely professional and polite, fixed the problem super quick and even explained what the issue was. Our heat is now working again. Great company! We found them through our home warranty.
