Ever wanted to upgrade your video equipment but since what you have is working fine you feel guilty for even thinking about it as it is a luxury, in my home anyway. Every Christmas holiday when all these fantastic. gotta have sales with better, cheaper TVs than I have on the market are featured, I go thru this personal drama. Dad-burn QVC. This year I did it. Justified it by… I could get rid of the cable bill with this new Smart TV which within the year would pay for itself.
I would have it installed above the fireplace with audio system correctly placed for the perfect theater experience. I’m stoked. I got to work researching for the best installer. I read reviews, got quotes and chose KnoxCET due to my thinking that I have an older home that most likely will have older home issues. I need the experience of a company that has worked with this environment. Ok, let’s see how my decision plays out.
The quote I got from CET was definitely acceptable but I asked Ashley, Administrative Assistant at KnoxCET, if she could set up an appointment with their tech because my home is an older home and could have older home issues when bringing it into the modern world. (remember this) No problem. Tech came by, I advised him what I was needing which was a plug and play install with training on my new equipment. He took measurements, accessed the attic for planning of cable/wiring placement. He left and within 24 hours I had a quote. I agreed to the quote and advised CET of my work schedule which Ashley scheduled ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
First day two techs showed up. I understand one was for electronics, the other was for the carpentry side of the install. Carpenter, tech cut the holes for the power and cable receptacles above the fireplace. The electronic tech pulled cable from Spectrum’s box (splitter) mounted on the side of the house up thru the facia to the attic, down the side of the chimney to the den’s fireplace at the back of the TV. Wait, what?? How does that work? Don’t we need the cable box you know to change channels and stuff? Elect tech advised me that some systems need a box, some do not. Let’s find out, anybody out there reading this raise your hand if you can access your cable, other than streaming, without a cable box. And if that’s true, do you believe that you would need to check this variable before routing your cable? Cable was pulled and rerouted with cable from the cable box routed to the TV. This day is done. Techs cleaned up and left, I went to work. Well not really done. I found out that the cable to the TV downstairs was not working. Spectrum said there was not a signal going to the cable box. I called and advised Ashely. CET responded very well getting techs back to my house on the same day to fix the issue. Issue was the elect tech disconnected cable for the downstairs TV to use for the new install when there was an empty port available. I’m paying for experience, right? Couple of goofs now but not earth shattering. However, I’m getting a little worried.
Next appoint to complete the job. I wasn’t up to it. My excuse? I’m working 7 days a week, often 12 hours/day and do not get to bed till 3am. I hated to cancel, but I was beat. Ashley was gracious enough to reschedule for 9am the next day. Next day at 0920, no call or tech. I called Ashley, canceled. Ashely once again rescheduled and I went back to bed. She did advise her tech was on the way but there was no contact from CET so was unsure of their schedule. On the new scheduled day, the carpenter tech arrived on time and we got to work running wiring for the home theater system. The quote I had from CET was for running the wiring for the speakers up in thru ceiling, in the attic and back down thru the wall to the head unit. But for convenience a decision was made to run the wiring on the wall which the tech did a very neat job. When we got ready to hook up the cable box there was a problem. The spectrum cable box was looking for a HDMI cable to connect to the TV and a standard cable had been run. Spectrum had upgraded this box about 4 years ago and assumed gone.

About a year ago we needed a light switch replaced. The people we used installed some janky switch that made using our garbage disposal a pain. I got in touch with Knox CET and they scheduled a time for today that worked for me.

The technician, Nathan Daniel, was professional, arrived early, performed the job professionally and with super efficiency. I would use Knox CET again and would recommend them to anyone.

They are amazing! I had a very big problem with all of my outlets reading that the electricity wasn't grounded. They assessed and diagnosed the problem almost immediately. They were in and out within the hour and showed up right on time. I really recommend this wonderful team!!

KnoxCET is professional, knowledge and Prompt. I had an awful experience with a local electrical company who claimed to know about connecting a commercial hood. This local company spent two months ion the hood and had wires going in all directions. KnoxCET, came in and corrected my issues in less than two days. The knowledge of the technician was superb. Highly recommend KnoxCET for your commercial wiring.

It has been 18 mos since Ferris did this work, and I have discovered several problems. He changed my 3 way switch to a 2 way. He
disconnected an upstairs outlet when he worked on my kitchen outlet, completely cutting the wire and leaving it. He eliminated an existing kitchen outlet without my knowledge. He did not install two new outlets I requested, saying, "you don't need them". My request to solve the problem with a flourescent fixture was dismissed after he charged me full replacement charge for changing 2 flourescent bulbs, which I supplied. He said I would have to pay $250 more to replace this fixture. I hired another company, Advent, to resolve these problems. I do NOT recommend.

I have been remodeling my house and Knox CET has been the best to work with! They are always so friendly and professional. I love knowing I can sleep at night knowing that my electric has all been updated and is now up to code. Thanks Ferris!

The first time I contacted this company I was able speak to someone immediately. I spoke with the office clerk and explained what type of job I needed to have done and she assured me someone would be available for the job. She schedules an appointment for an electrician to come out to my home. The electrician (Dillion) arrived promptly as scheduled, introduced himself in a very polite professional manner. Dillion's courtesy and professionalism was far above what anyone could ask. He explained every little detail about his service, performed his duty, and cleaned up behind himself. There was no mess for me to clean. Very pleased with the quality of service I received and will use this company again. And let me mention, cost was reasonable.

After installing ceiling fans on my own I had a power issue. I called KnoxCET and they offered next day service to have someone come out to see what is going on. Ferris called on his way over and arrived on time. He was extremely professional and walked me through every step he was taking. During our conversation he brought to light a lot of issues with my panel box and showed me specifically what was damaged and needed to be fixed. Being a new homeowner, and having no knowledge of electrical work it is nerve wracking to see what problems you have inherited but Ferris was patient and thorough with what I had at hand. I will continue to be using KnoxCET for any electrical work I need.

Knoxcet came out and installed lighting in my kitchen.They were very thorough in their quote was right on cue. The receptionist was kind and friendly and made sure that everything was taken care of for me. The technicians contacted me before they arrived to let me know who they were they came in did the job cleaned up and everything was perfect.
