We’ve had Hancock remove 4 Hemlock’s and they did an amazing job. Just had them come out and cut a Tulip Popular that was on my neighbors property that hung over our house. We’re so impressed with how they managed the removal process and clean up after. Thank you all so much!

A tree fell in my yard due to a storm and had been there for two days. I saw them working on a tree in my neighborhood and they were able to send their bidder out within an hour, give me a quote, and remove the tree same day.

I want to add that the tree fell on top of two baby blueberry bushes and they were able to remove the tree without damaging the bushes further. They listened to what I wanted, were there faster than I've EVER had tree work done, and gave me a reasonable price. I highly recommend this company.

As a new family here in knoxville a few of our neighbors recommended us to reach out to John for our tree trimming. John was very responsive and quick to schedule an appointment to come take a look at our trees. Matt actually came out for the quote and was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was very personable as well and told us what he recommended and even how to treat with neem oil another one of our trees. We decided to move forward with them and they were able to get us scheduled quickly. The guys that came out to trim our trees were wonderful as well! They were polite and even let our boys watch which they loved. We are appreciative and would definitely recommend and look forward to working with them in the future.

As a Director of a HOA in Knoxville I was tasked with replacing old fencing on our property lines. Before I could begin I needed allot of tree work as growth had overwhelmed the fencing lines and needed to be addressed before new fencing could begin. After receiving several competitive bids I selected Hancock Tree Service. Their price was competitive with the others. I was more impressed with Matt who bid on the project for Hancock as he pointed out the best way to address our issues and not just putting a price on the job. Very soon after selecting Hancock I was contacted by John who supervises the Hancock Tree Services crews. I was given an earlier than expected response to complete the job. A large crew and equipment came on site and with teamwork precision completed the work. The site was left super clean and they did a perfect job. I contracted with them a few weeks later for more work. This time I didn’t need to get competitive bids as I already knew Hancock Tree Service would do the best job at a fair and competitive price.

I have used Hancock Tree Service more than once in the last several years and have always been happy with the work they do. Will and Johnny keep an open line of communication for any questions or concerns, and are always professional and friendly. I highly recommend these folks

Did a good job pruning my Bradford pear trees, work was done in a timely manner and made sure l was satisfied with the job. Reasonably priced, will use them again in the future.

I was amazed by the efficiency and skill of the Hancock Tree company in removing a large red oak tree, and a smaller dead pine tree, from behind my house in Oak Ridge. The upfront negotiations were easy, and they did everything they said they would do, on time and on budget. I appreciated the job they did!

Perhaps I need to review after works done on my property, but I just wanna add how sociable, friendly, and well experienced Matt was this morning after providing me an estimate. Seems the world's lost touch with how to speak to folks and create good relationships, but Matt's certainly acquired my business soon due to his personality and outgoing demeanor as a professional. I couldn’t be more impressed with Hancock Tree Service! From start to finish, their 5-man crew demonstrated top-tier professionalism and efficiency. They arrived with all the proper equipment and immediately got to work with a level of coordination that was truly impressive. Each team member knew their role, and they worked seamlessly together, making the entire process look effortless.
What stood out most was their attention to detail and care for the surrounding property. They were extremely mindful not to cause any secondary damage, which speaks volumes about their experience and respect for their clients’ homes. After the job was done, they left the area spotless—no stray branches or debris in sight.

The service & clean up was great! We had 2 trees cut down & a big oak tree trimmed back from our house. We also had the entire back yard bush hogged & cleared of all under growth & fallen limbs & trees. The guys were in & out in about 4 1/2 hours! The only thing is they dropped a limb on my grill & left a dent in in & didn’t say anything to me or my husband.
UPDATE: John Shockley from Hancock Tree Service contacted me the day after my original review & apologized for the damaged grill & they replaced it. Great customer service!! I will use them in the future!

Hancock Tree Service is top notch. Called them right after a bad storm had passed thru on a Friday afternoon by which a large tree had fallen on the front portion of our home. Estimator was on seen within 20 minutes after phone call to evaluate damage. Seen the severity of the situation and had made arrangements with the owner for a team to come out first thing on Saturday. The tree removal team showed up a 7:45am that morning with a crew of 5 along with all the heavy equipment to get the job done. My wife and I was overly amazed on how fast they had everything done in just a few hours considering the task that was at hand. Whats even more impresive is that they cleaned everything up after themselves and were very friendly. The estimator came back later that day to follow up with us on how everything went. You just can't find this kind of service anywhere, especially in this day in age. I will definitely be calling them back later on to work on another tree. A+++

I highly recommend this company! These guys are efficient and do amazing work! We had quite a few trees taken out and what a difference! They even cleaned up after themselves because you will get a lot of debris from the trees. My husband and I are very satisfied with their work. We will
definitely have them back for a future project! Thank you!

Hancock Tree Service was highly recommended to me from a recent client.
Matt came out to give an estimate on a 85' dead oak that could possibly fall on the house.
Scheduled for the next day.
A crew of polite and knowledgeable gentlemen arrived at Scheduled time.
Went to work immediately with all functioning as a well oiled team.
Tree was taken down with no damage to human or home. All traces were cleaned up and /or taken away. It was a concerning tree and what a relief to no longer worry about it . I would recommend them for any job- big or small.

Great experience! Our estimator listened to our concerns, made good recommendations and provided estimates for each one. The crew arrived promptly at 8:00, were efficient, professional and very skilled! By 1:30 they had removed 5 trees and one large oak limb. Would highly recommend this company!

I have been using Hancock Tree Service for the past 2 1/2 years. They have removed 8 trees from my property during that time. In February of 2020, a neighbor’s tree fell on the bedroom end of my house causing severe damage. They were there the next day, removing the tree and created a temporary apex to the roof and covering the opening with tarp.
They are very dependable, prompt, respectful, and skilled with their work. I am posting some pictures of some of the work they have done for me.

Have Nothing but great things to say about Hancock Tree Service. They do great work and are clean and tidy on clean up when the shift ends each day. Even though my roof was damaged in the process from the tree removal they were fast and prompt on fixing it better than it was before. I can't recommend them enough and will refer them to everyone. We had a very large oak limb that hung over the top of our home that needed to be removed. Hancock Tree Service was one of three companies that provided an estimate for me in March. All three were in a fairly close price range; Hancock was in the middle. I chose them because of their positive reviews and the professional manner in which they seemed to do business from the onset. I was not disappointed! The estimator (John) followed up my initial call with great communication, arrived when scheduled, took time to answer all my questions, and let me know that it would be a few weeks before they could get to me due to recent regional storms which they were helping with clean up. We tentatively agreed upon "sometime mid-April," which is exactly when he checked back with me to schedule the work. I didn't have to reach back out to them...they followed up as promised with me. Once scheduled, the cutting crew showed up right on time, were polite and professional...and did an incredible job! They ended up "zip-lining" the heavy limb sections, which was both impressive to me and fun to watch! This was a team that worked well together, that showed up when they said they would, knew what they were doing, did the work promised, and cleaned up afterwards as expected. If we need tree service again, we will call this company without hesitation.

After the last big storm, a very large tree fell into my yard just missing my house. The tree blocked by driveway and took out the power line. I called multiple tree services to get quotes. One company provided a quote for $3,100 and Hancock provided a quote for $2,000.

Matt was called at 8 AM, arrived at the house at 10 AM to give the quote, and the workers arrived at noon as promised to begin working. The crew did an excellent job.

Highly recommend this company as they did what they said they would do and did not take advantage of my situation.

We had Hancock Tree Service remove a 106 year old 32-inch diameter red oak that fell in our backyard. They had to track the tree parts with a skid steer several hundred feet due to limited access to the backyard from our driveway. They showed up on time and completed the job in 4.5 hours. The crew was very professional and was careful not to damage our drain field. My wife and I were very pleased with the estimate and quality of the work they did. We will definitely use Hancock again.
