I called to get a quote for removing a large pine tree that was dwarfing my house. Tree King was so affordable that I had him to go ahead and remove it that same day. He was professional, prompt and even called 311 to alert them that the tree needed to be picked up from my curb. I will definitely call Tree King in the future. I highly recommend this business!

What a great company, returned my calls, worked with my schedule, did a great job trimming a pine tree in my front yard, and very reasonably priced, 5 stars.
o I used them again today, same great service, price, and wonderful company! -
I hired this company to trim 3 oak trees. It took them 3 weeks to trim a tree and a half. They always showed up late in the afternoon, never had adequate help and always askedfor a payment each day even though they never finished the job. I was given an excuse such as them not having help. After a week of absolutely no communication I finally ran out of patience and decided to cancel the rest of the job. There was no reason for no communication. The weather definitely wasn’t on the rainy side that week. So, I advised them to pick up all their tools and remove the ropes that’s hanging from my trees. They totally ignored my requests and told me to stop making a big deal out of ropes hanging from my trees and tools laying around in my yard. I explained my concern with this because my yard is hazardous at this point for my six year old to play outside. Not only does my six year old son plays outside but so does his friends of the same age. I have video footage of my son and his friends trying to climb the trees with the ropes left hanging from them. I have been contacting this company for a month now telling them to please remove these items and all I’ve gotten from them is text messages cussing me out! I have all the text messages as proof. Don’t get fooled and use this company because they are giving me the blues!!!! They deleted every review that exposes them!!!!

Brett and Amanda did a Awesome job on cutting trees and limbs around my house and hanging over my roof... I highly recommend them. They went above and beyond and got the job done. I was very happy with their service.
-
I knew nothing about this service but after the recent ice storm and limbs down I enlisted them to clean up the mess. They did a wonderful job. Brett was very knowledgeable about the trees and wasn’t pushy about taking down a tree when I asked about possibly cutting it down. They were on time and worked in a timely fashion removed most of the debris and put the rest on the street for pick up even called 311 to alert them there was a need for pick up. They gave a free estimate and stuck to the price they quoted . Very nice dealing with them! Thank for a job well done!

They started out great: I saw a post about them on Nextdoor and reviews here in May of 2024 when I was overseas and a neighbor’s tree limb fell in my tenant’s yard. I contacted them, and they went out the same day and took care of it. Excellent communication, and I felt like I found a great tree contractor in Memphis. I even recommended them to my property manager.
Unfortunately, when I hired them for another fallen limb in July, things went quite differently: We agreed to a price to remove the second limb (to the curb) and to an additional price to dispose of the shed that limb had fallen on. Once they were onsite to do this on 7/17, they advised me that the shed would require a second trip to the dump - they were alleging that not all of the shed would fit into their trailer in one trip. While I could not imagine how small their trailer must have been, I knew that the shed was not large. But they were nice enough to only be charging me for what they claimed was just the dump fee ($75) and nothing for themselves. Given our past experience, I approved this and immediately paid them. The following day, they specifically referred to the shed in their email to me: “Just wanted to update you that we completely removed the shed…” There was nothing about anything still pending. I thought that everything was completed, as contracted for. But:
On 7/31, my PM advised me that the tenant advised them that 901TK had left some debris in the front yard (not the curb,) promised to come back, but hasn’t, and is not answering the PM’s calls. I immediately emailed 901TK. I got an apology reply the following evening, explaining that they had a trailer issue, and chiefly ending with: “So if everything goes as planned we should be able to get over there tomorrow or Saturday at the latest...” But:
(Because GMaps Reviews has a character limit, the rest has been much shortened):
901TK broke the above promise, as well as specific promises they made on 8/8, then (after each subsequent tenant complaint, and, except for once, with no updates that they would/did not make it) also on 8/12, 8/13, and 8/20 - this one, after being advised that another contractor would be hired at their expense. (Important note here: When the third-party contractor provided his quote, he included some photos. One of them showed a side of a metal shed on the ground in the backyard. So, among other things in my August 19 email to 901TK, I mentioned that if I were to make a legal claim against them, I would include a count of fraud. To be clear: proving that in a court of law is another matter. But they did quote me a price to dispose of the shed, then added an additional price to complete that specific task, then specifically claimed to have completed that task, but apparently not having done so in fact - all the while knowing that I am thousands of miles away.)
901TK responded to that “threatening” and “not necessary honestly” (their words) email on the morning of 8/20, promising to, “get over there today to get what's left in the backyard, which is not much at all. I will send you pictures once we are done.” I agreed to that, but, as stated above, they did not fulfill again. And they are now past the deadline to acknowledge to pay my third-party expense.
On Yelp, at the time of this writing, 901 Tree King is listed as “Veteran-owned” - I was not aware that they are veterans. -
901 Tree King is the best I’ve encountered!!! They were able to come right on out to give me a very reasonable estimate on cutting four trees. After getting estimates from two other services, Tree King was the best estimate. I called them back and said they’re hired. They came right on out and cut my trees down this Spring. Although temperatures were rising during the midday, they explained they work best early in the mornings or afternoons which is understandable because I don’t even cut my grass in the heat of the day. They even called the city to have the logs picked up. They didn’t bother me and I didn’t bother them while they were working. We worked together to accommodate both parties schedules and considerations. They are very modernized when it comes to paying for the service. Going forward, they are my guys for yard details. Do not hesitate to give them a call especially in an emergency. You won’t regret it.

After the recent freeze a tree had fell on my house that damaged my roof severely. I called 901TreeKing and they had the tree chopped, loaded and carefully removed from my roof in only a few hours from the incident.
Rain, sleet and snow, they got the job done! -
Highly recommend
901 Tree King services.
Great family. Reasonable prices, prompt and trustworthy. Their history about trees and cutting them is impressive. They cut down one tree, trim 2 very tall trees and haul it all to street for pick up. They sent me photos to see their work to be sure I was satisfied. I was amazed at how much they did so quickly. They were so determined to do a good job, they worked in the heat of the day and past sundown. Then when done they said, "We'll called in for city pick up." In the past another tree man was going to charge me to haul it, when the city will pick for free.
I was so please with the work they were doing that before they were through, I asked if they could do another property. Definitely sticking with
"901 Tree King" services.
And God bless our Veterans -
Lazy workers. Took them 7 days just to take down 1 medium tree. The were rude. And Childish.

By far true Green is most certainly the worst company a person could hire to take care of their long needs. By reviewing all of the reviews posted to two greens website it is readily apparent that TruGreen and their corporate structure does not care about it's customer's. I have been a customer of TruGreen for well over 15 years and for the past few years customer service has been absolutely non-existent. Field manager Nigel and the general manager Jason and the Pensacola location in my opinion are even worse than the corporate philosophy regarding their customer service. For 2 months now I have been attempting to meet with the management at Pensacola to inspect my law. In the last 4 years after much back and forth they have replaced sections of my lawn due to their poor and inadequate service. For over 2 months now, these people have failed to return my phone calls. On one occasion Nigel indicated that he would gladly meet with me during my limited time at home to address my concerns. However, for the four days that I was home he failed to show up for an appointment and failed to return any one of my phone calls. That was 3 weeks ago today, despite my numerous calls to their call center and the unfulfilled promises of people like Karen Kennedy, Charles Barrett, and a person named Otto, I am no further ahead now than I was 2 months ago. Auto Andrew green, said that he would personally address this matter and getting resolved he indicated that he would be back in touch with me within a day or two. When I pointed out my concern that there is no way to reach him or other people directly other than going through the call center, he said and provided to me a direct phone number. However when he failed to call back as promised, I use that phone number only to find out that the phone number was not in service.
I then call and work up the chain from the call center and spoke with Charles Barridge. He also said that he would get to the bottom of this problem and get back in touch with me. That was 2 weeks ago and again no call backs
Finally after again working up the ladder, I was able to speak with Karen Kennedy. She explained to me that any questions or concerns regarding my lawn made to their call center would be automatically forwarded back to the Pensacola branch location. I advised her that that is the root of all the problems: the Pensacola call center misses appointments will not return phone calls etc. Is Kennedy said that she would take care of the matter personally and for two days she did call me back several times you tell me that she has been sending messages to Pensacola and advises me at the persons at Pensacola mentioned above informed her that they would reach out to me within that very day. However that was a week ago and to date, these individuals have not contacted me whatsoever.
She informed me that that was not possible, she stated that her corporate structure and TruGreen is such that everything is handled locally. If things are handled locally how do things ever get resolved if the local management is the cause of all the problems?
She and others are true Green indicated that the corporate structure to agreeing does not have a complaint or resolution department in order to correct any problems of customer may have that everything is sent back to the local branch. She also said that she did not know the names of any individuals who oversee the operations at the local branch. She also said that she would check back with me daily to see if my problems have been resolved or if the local branch is contacted me. I thanked her for this and told her that in the past it seems like management that you get in touch with via the call center would make promises that they would call back but they never do she told me to rest assured and she would continually handle this situation and try to get the matter resolved however she said that anything she can do is extremely limited and there is no formal chain of command. She indicated that she would formally request HQ to contact me. This has not occurred -
What an absolutely worthless and scamming company! Stay far, far away from this scum. We prepaid for a year of service in March of last year. Everything was great until we had them service our sprinkler system. The fools they sent out caused so much damage that it took another company an entire day to replace valves, wiring, and sprinkler heads, not to mention costing me several hundred of dollars. I decided to cut ties with TruGreen, eat the prepaid amount and just be done with them. Fast forward to January of this year. I came home to a note on the door saying they had preformed some service to my yard.....odd, we are done with these morons. Upon calling we were told that our 1 year prepaid service from last year, which we had canceled in September, was automatically renewed for 2019 and they wanted their $60. I've gone round and round and they absolutely refuse to credit the account and just leave us alone. I NEVER wanted them to ever come back yet here they are, doing unauthorized treatments to my yard and demanding payment. At this point they have sent it to collections and I've sent all documentation to my lawyer. Stay as far away from these fools as you can!

Price doubled year 2 with no notification. Hard up sales after ever service. Hard upsale during cancellation request. Ignored my request for no upsales/solicitations repeatedly. Then calls me again today, to try and resale me on an over priced service.
Hard pass because of customer service alone.
Ohio location. -
Overall true green is failing in many ways; I had bad experience in the past, then I took a chance this year with an area manager in Boston, MA, his name "Tony." He promised me the service with pre payment close to ~$1K. Now I am having difficulty speaking to him or anyone in customer service to get my service continuously done, only two times they came. Missed two services in a row so far. Now they are re-scheduling but no technician comes to do the service which is terrible and when I call customer service, some people in South America answers to say that they will be back soon. What a way to make money truly green..... TRUE GREEN. Not the way people want to make the lawn look good but the way to make TRUE GREEN richer & richest with other people money. "TRUE GREEN ;;;;;;;;;;; YOU ARE BAD." Not even a single star for you.

This is under my husbands name. (But not him) I should have read the reviews! They sprayed for mosquitos first then came back out because the first guy didn’t do it right. Which we STILL have a ton of them! Then they came to do my yard and rid of weeds, sprayed my grass, my sunflowers, and didn’t even touch the back of my house or the other side for weeds. So they came back out, sprayed HALF of the other weeds, I’m having trouble getting my grass to grow back. Seems to me these employees aren’t being trained properly if they are then they have lazy ones working for them! I’m done with them, will not have their service at my house again! Sad how a business has all this money but don’t do their job properly.

Rarely am I able to obtain weed treatment between services when requested. I am told by the telephone service assistants that something will be scheduled the following week. When I call the following week, another assistant tells me that nothing has been scheduled, and that something will get scheduled for the following week. This happens regularly and is incredibly frustrating.
About half of the time when they do show up, the wrong products are applied (i.e. synthetic fertilizer when we were paying for organic. Lime applied to the lawn when they were supposed to spray for weeds!). As a result, I must always schedule myself to be home when we are expecting TruGreen to perform service so I can supervise. There have been at least 4 times when I sent the tech away due to the fact that they were going to perform the wrong service on the lawn.
Calls are rarely returned when I have left messages regarding issues with the lawn. I cannot contact a supervisor directly to help with issue resolution.
The techs have lied about servicing the lawn. They have noted in the system that they came to perform a retreat of the lawn, but they never showed up (I was waiting to speak to them). This is fraud.
There is nothing you can do to make things right. I have been a patient customer since 2016. I am done and have canceled my service. -
I have been with trugreen for almost 15 years. I had my creditcardon their file. They would automatically renew my contract annually. This year, they wanted to increase the price by double. They played with me and started billing me on every service. When I started receiving the bill, I called them, and some lady told me that I would charge you on your credit card for the current 3 treatments. Then, I will talk with management and call you back to renew the contract. I waited for a day or two, and then I called. I was told that your name address is not there in our database at all. I was shocked. After a few days, another lady called and told me that we could renew the contract but at a higher price. I agreed. Last week, I received a threatening letter from the collection company for $82, though they have my credit card on file. This time, I called the corporate office. One lady, Ms. Shrika assured me that she would take care of the mess. After a couple of days, I received another called this ti, e the lady on the phone apologized to me and said to ignore the collection letter. Now my lawn is full of weed.

If you live in Connecticut DO Not USE THiS SERViCE . They burnt my front lawn in may . And now it’s September the lawn haven’t been fixed yet . I have reached out about 20 times and I am still waiting for them to repair what they did .

Bought my house of May of 2022, everything was fine with the remainder of 2022, however in 2023 all my services was changed without notice or confirmation, and destroyed my lawn. The previous owners had aeration, seeding, fertilization, and grub control. Come to find out trugreen decided to downgrade my plan to just weed control. Not once did I call them to downgrade. I will definitely be doing my own lawn next year.
Their customer service is terrible, get people who barely speak any English, I tell them no on a service and the next week they call again asking for the same service I told them no to. -
I paid for a year of service last year. I had their man on camera either not doing the yard at all or only doing partial parts. Talk to a manager last year and was told that I would get a credit back was only given partial credit and my yard look like hell, they came the next year without approval and tried to bill me. I talked to a manager this year and was promised credits and free service Very unhappy would not recommend anybody use them if you call their number locally you you speak to somebody from another state and never can get a supervisor on the phone

On more than one occasion, A TruGreen represented left a work summary on my door when they did not complete the work as I observed the representative via my home cameras. I contacted TruGreen in both instances and they sent another representative out and the work was completed.
I have been a Pre-Pay TruGreen customer since 2003 and recently cancelled the Pre-Pay aspect of my account due to the fact that representatives have documented work summaries when they never completed the work. This means I won't receive the pre-pay discount because I have no faith in the integrity of certain TruGreen representatives.
RESPONSE : I sent a certified letter to the VP, Operations and I look forward to your response.
