I discovered a leak last week, and my husband called Choate’s. Devin McLaughlin was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. The leak detection process on Monday identified the problem in my flower bed quickly, leading to a prompt repair the following day. I appreciated the efficient service and reasonable price. The technician was pleasant, seemed to be knowledgeable and did a wonderful job on repairing my water leaks. The repairs didn't take very long. Very pleased with his work. Only real issue I have with the whole process was trying to talk to a real person when calling the company to schedule an appointment. Never got a call back from the company until I made an appointment using the online service. They changed my appointment to a different day. Maybe they were short staffed during the holidays.

Alexander did an exceptional job evaluating my Heating And Air. He was very professional. Very informative letting me know what was going on and what my options were. He was professional and easy to communicate with. I recommend Alexander anytime. He did a wonderful job.

I've been a Choates customer for 6 years until now. So I called them out to fix my ac and/or find out whats wrong. They sent two techs out and they did a great job. Here's where the problem came in.... Choates sent out a guy to give me a quote on the work needed to be done. So I greet him at the door, IMMEDIATELY I tell him. There's no way he will be able to go into my attic space because he was just that big of a guy. About 6'4" 365lbs easy. He assured me he has been up and down plenty of times. Keep in mind that I'm 275lbs and had no trouble going up with the two technicians who came out just 2 days before. The 3 of us went up and down quite a few times. Back to the issue, this man stepped on the first step and the whole ladder came crashing down. He looks dead in my face and says choates will take care of that. So I go and grab my 6' A-frame ladder so he can handle his business. Ok we're good. A couple days later, choates sends out a contractor to see if it could be fixed... but that wasnt happening. Tell my why choates sends me a quote on getting it fixed for $900.00. I literally can go to Lowes and buy a new one and install it myself for 400.00. The audacity of these people to charge me for something that they tore up is crazy work... I'll never use them again for anything. I dont care if it was 200 degrees outside and they told me they could turn my floor into an ice cube for 50 cent... they won't be getting it from me.

About 7 years ago I had a mini split put in by a company that has since been absorbed into a larger company. It was a crappy experience and the only nice thing I can say is they delivered the device and turned it on. Since then I’ve been a comfort care member with Conway. I have two units and they were always able to help me with my larger unit but never the mini split. Fast forward to 2025 and my mini split stopped heating; so i looked for certified vendors and Choats came up. Everything from my request to payment was smooth, simple, and very efficient. I got a next day appointment even though I am a new customer. Patrich Banks was my assigned tech and he personally spent more time and out in more care with my mini split than any of the techs that have come previously in the last 7 years. It turns out a few things needed to be tweaked and I needed more freon. My unit has never worked as well as it works now and I had such a great experience that I signed up to be on the Choats monthly maintenance plan. I will be switching my other plans and adding to is service to a second residence.

I am visiting Memphis from Texas and a couple of days ago, my friend with whom I am staying, had two large tree branches fall in her backyard which caused an electrical line to pull away from her house. MLGW came by that night and said an electrician would be needed to repair the very extensive and serious damage before power could be restored.

That night, my friend called Choate's which had serviced her HVAC system for years and with whom she had a family account. She spoke with Jasmine about the problem and almost immediately, Jasmine set her up with an appointment to have Choate's come and help with the problem. The rest of the story is what happens when professionals come to your aid.
Nathan from Choates came by the next day and not only did he diagnose and offer the appropriate repair services to help get the power restored but he had to be the nicest guy ever because he had my friend, Cherrie and I laughing about life by the time he left.

The next day, Nathan and two of his colleagues from Choate's...Timothy and Thomas, came by and performed what I consider a miracle considering the extensive damage that was done. They not only finished the job in less time than we could have imagined but their work was world-class perfection. Cherrie's entire electrical box and workings looked like they had been brought up to 21st century standards by the time they were done. Even the MLGW rep who came by to inspect the work and restore the power mentioned what excellent work the Choate's team had done. On top of that, they were such great guys to talk to that by the time they had finished the work, we were talking to the three of them about football and great Memphis food instead of the outage and serious damage that had happened to us in the previous days.

Biafra Warren was great, very polite, and knew his job. I appreciate it every time I have one of Chote's service persons come to the house. Even though he's the project manager, he always makes time to ensure our problems are fixed. They can always seem to convince me to add something else,( just joking. )Thanks for the heads-up on that surge protector.

We recently had to call Choates for an HVAC issue, and our technician, Mr. CJ, provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and clearly explained the issues with our system. When a follow-up appointment was needed, we requested him again because of his expertise and familiarity with our unit.
We are pleased to share that our HVAC system is working again, and we look forward to continuing with Choates as our HVAC provider. Choates, this young man is professional and represents your company extremely well.

My experience with my hot water heater installation was positive overall. There was an initial hiccup prior to installation day, but Bianca and Jason provided excellent service recovery by sending Terry out, who was amazing. On installation day, Jacob and Sean completed the installation and did an excellent job. From my standpoint, they were professional and got straight to business. Jacob also did a great job educating me, which I truly appreciated. Thank you to the entire team who assisted from beginning to end.

Terrance Johnson and his partner came out to my home to clean my dryer vents, which were completely clogged, and they did an outstanding job. Terrance was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful from the moment they arrived. They worked quickly and efficiently while making sure everything was thoroughly cleaned and operating properly. What really impressed me was their attention to detail—they left the area cleaner than they found it. It’s clear Terrance takes pride in his work, and it absolutely shows. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and would highly recommend Terrance Johnson and this company to anyone in need of dryer vent cleaning.

Terry was super respectful and professional! He found the leak fast without having to butcher our walls all up and repaired the leak. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I’m grateful for Choates sending him out so fast before the winter storms start hitting. Their people are always very professional and polite.

Great experience! Tucker was awesome during his visit. He quickly diagnosed the problem, thoroughly explained the repair options, then got the repair completed in good time. He explained everything he did and why he had to do the repair the way he did to insure a long lasting, high quality end result. I’d recommend Choate’s if you need any plumbing work done if all the guys are as good as Tucker is. I thought he was a great representative for the company.

Mr. A. Ramirez and his team were excellent. They worked in a fashionably and timely manner. They also took the time to answer any and all questions that were asked of them and in a professional manner. I would recommend him and the entire team to anyone that is looking for a heating, air, or both. I appreciate their timelessness in which it took to get the project done and complete and cleaning up behind them. Thank you guys for taking excellent care of installing the heating unit for my father. It has been working really efficiently. Thanks and kudos to you and your team.

Mr. Christopher was great. He educated me on all the things wrong with my hot water tank, although it couldn't be fixed, he went the extra mile offering financial services through wells fargo when I was turned down he called his Supervisor for a secondary payment finance offer and they applied coupons and discounts for the replacement unit. He arrived on time,dressed well and ready to get the job done. He even collected my Amazon package from the driver and brought it inside. Thanks for the outstanding services but at this time, I choose to go with another less expensive option.

Alyssa came out to check my ac unit in the storm!! That alone spoke volumes. She was very professional, and was able to identify the issue with my unit. She gave me several options and recommendations on how the matter could be resolved. I have use the company before, but this service member stands out amongst them all, although they were all great.
