Prentice Alsup is a fantastic HVAC Vendor. They do a vast amount of work for our company Stones River Property Management . We receive quotes in a prompt matter as well as follow up's if parts need to be ordered or an unexpected issue arises. They are willing to do after hour calls if needed and always do their best to schedule appointments with our tenants as quickly as possible, even during the peak seasons of extreme temperatures.
Prentice Alsup is a very professional company that offers competitive rates for their services. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs either residential or commercial HVAC service.

Awesome service! The lady that answered was so nice and was able to work with my schedule. They came out first thing the next day and the technician was great!! He was so friendly and showed me things to look for if my unit started messing up again. Would definitely recommend and will be using them from now on!

We had an air duct issue and Prentice Alsup was out quickly to evaluate. The issue was identified and our options were explained simply. The repairs were scheduled quickly, and made as promised. We will definitely use Prentice Alsup again!

From the first call setting up an appointment to Charles coming to my home within an hour of calling, everything was amazing! They were very helpful and understanding. He fixed my AC unit and the house was cooling off in no time. Would highly recommend!!

Have known the Alsup family for years. Have had this company do an install in a new construction project that I did for a customer last year and they have done ac service work at my personal residence and they are always professional both the technicians and the office staff. Prompt service and fast invoices. I dont even ask for a quote because I trust them. They have never given me any reason not to. I have 2 aging units and they have helped me to keep them running as long as possible before I have to have them replaced which may be coming soon enough😅. I also called them on a Sunday when my sons ac went out during a family dinner party and he lives way out in beach grove and the tech was there unexpectedly fast and replaced a faulty thermostat at a very reasonable price. HvAc repair is a tough job as everyone wants their service right now. I expect sometimes things dont go as planned but I have had only positive experiences with Prentice Alsup Heating & Air.
I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them. 👍🙏.
Update. My main package 3.5 ton unit finally gave up the ghost and I called Prentice Aslup and spoke with Trey. He gave me a fair and competitive price on a new unit and even better they installed it that morning! Techs were very capable professional and courteous. I couldn’t be happier.

This company used to be great and my family used their services for many years. However, in the past 2 years, they have told us they ordered the wrong parts or can't get the right parts and numerous other stories when we contact them. Last year they took our air conditioning unit promising to repair it and they still have it TO THIS DAY. They were supposed to repair the unit purchased for my elderly parents house and they should be ashamed of themselves. We now use a different company and they have replaced 3 total HVAC systems for us. This company has lost thousands of our dollars and all of my respect. Beware if you choose to use their services.

Used these guys in the past and had them again recently. The top floor of our new house was getting hot and the AC was running non stop with no result. So I'm hoping for just some freon and good to go. Well, they topped it off and fixed the problem. It was a simple blower that blows the air. Total cost under 275.00 I think for everything and labor. The upstairs is so cool and cold sometimes. They could have easily said, well, it is the unit and it will be 3,500 to replace. We can do it tomorrow. Instead they told us the truth and fixed our issues with a simple blower that has gone out. I dont know air conditioning and that's why I call. Great customer service and so trust worthy. We're going to tell everybody and have for a while. Great service.

PA replaced my a.c. unit at home very professional crew on time and left place spotless! I have been in the HVAC business 50 years and never seen a more knowledgeable and professional job. On a blistering summer afternoon my unit stopped working. Thermostat got up to 86° inside. Called PA the next morning and they had sent someone over within 2 hours. Turns out we had a broken blower motor; the serviceman (Bo) said it could be a few days before they got the part in. Bo came back after an hour and said he had found a motor for us! He was very professional and took great care of us! Would recommend 10/10!

We just purchased a home in Murfreesboro and live out of state. Our realtor recommended this company and we were extremely pleased with the service they provided. Our technician Jeremy was great to work with and explained everything to us. We couldn't ask for better service and professionalism. We will definitely use them again!

I find it incredibly tacky that this company charges a $75 service call fee to be paid virtually immediately when I'm buying a $2,500 repair (parts and labor) for a job that is at least 4 weeks away from starting. If I wasn't using them for the repair work the service call fee would make sense... but that isn't the case. I let them know that I felt this way, their invoicing lady asked the owner about it... and I still paid the fee. Other companies don't do this. I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time.

***Update*** The owner called me, was incredibly rude. I won't have to worry about taking my business elsewhere, this repair has been cancelled. Maybe someone else will read this & avoid having to deal with this company.

Prentice Alsup Heating and Air:

Use this business whenever possible!!! They saved me over $1700 this past weekend. First, The Maynard Man came to assess my 2017 Rheem AC that wasn’t working on a Friday (in 98 degree heat). They quoted me $2058.03 to “chemically clean” an evaporator coil that had dog hair on it and to replace a variable speed blower motor that was UNDER WARRANTY. And to add insult to injury, they said there were “no warehouses open” to supply the blower motor part, so they couldn’t even begin to fix it until the following Monday. Then I called Prentice Alsup and not only did they quote me $275 for the SAME EXACT services, but they were there the NEXT MORNING with the part, and it was fully repaired within hours. They actually were kind and honest enough to inform me that the part was still under warranty, which Maynard conveniently failed to mention. This service and affordability is UNMATCHED!!! They acquired the part I needed on a Saturday morning, which other businesses refused to even try. I will be using them for all of my heating and air needs from now on.

These folks get five stars from me, because six stars aren't an option! I don't know how anyone could do it better than these folks. I've had Prentice Alsup out to my home several times over the past five years for routine service and a few repairs, and each time I've been very happy with the service experience!

They do their best to get my appointment scheduled as quickly as possible basing it around my schedule and when I can be home, and they have always arrived when they said they would. The office staff is great to deal with, and the guys that have come to service or repair the units I have upstairs and downstairs have been VERY knowledgeable, professional, courteous, efficient, clean and fair on pricing.

For example, I've been prepared to replace the aging upstairs unit in my house for about a year now, and on two separate occasions now, they've talked me out of it! Both times the service techs have told me, "Let's go this less expensive route for now. We'll let you know when it's really time to replace it. We'll replace it if you really want to, but you probably have a little life left in this one." Seriously?? How often does that happen?? THAT is why I will always call these folks when I need Heating & Air Conditioning repairs and service!

I woke up to a cold house on Thanksgiving morning. I called Prentice Alsup and they came out promptly to get my heat going! They are always very friendly, professional, great service and good prices. Thankful for Bo's amazing customer service!!

Dan was amazing. It was a Saturday afternoon my air wasn't working and he squeezed my into his busy schedule. Less than an hour later I was a very happy person, my home was once again cool and comfortable. I would recommend Prentice Alsup to anyone they have always taken care of me quickly and with a great attitude.

I was not comfortable with switching my system to the propane during the extreme cold last week until I had it checked. I called Prentice Alsup, they sent Daniel out and got me going! Prentice Alsup was fantastic when we called them about our recurrent issues with our AC unit. The technician, Brandon, was professional and helpful both times that he came out to assist us. He really knew what he was doing, and any questions he couldn’t answer regarding pricing, he got in touch with the office and got answers for us quickly.

Mr. Alsup gave us several options for our unit and provided an honest recommendation for us. He wasn’t concerned about what would make him the most money, but what was best for our family. We were able to get our unit repaired very quickly, and for significantly less money than we had anticipated. So glad that we called Prentice Alsup! Had an issue with the ducting and air conditioner that needed pretty quick attention, after calling three places could only get me on a schedule for next week called Prentice up (on a Friday)and they were able to send a guy out the same day! I called them today at 1:45pm. They came from thirty minutes away, diagnosed, and replaced our blower motor for $425 out the door. I had paid and they were gone before 3:00pm. Both techs were super friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate their good price, but the service was the best I’ve had of any “service type call” I have ever made. This place is awesome!
