We contacted Moore & Smith have a 65 - 80 foot laurel oak with heart rot located 5 feet from our home and leaning toward it at a dangerous angle removed right after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas. They returned our call promptly and immediately scheduled an appointment. Kailey prioritized our tree removal because of the imminent danger to our entire home and the Moore & Smith team helped us get the permitting approved. I can't tell you how grateful we are for the expediency in which they handled our tree removal, particularly when they were absolutely slammed due to Hurricane Irma heading our way.

The tree removal, while a little terrifying to watch, was impressive. These people are PROS. Considering the large branches and location of our roof and that of a separate building, we were pleasantly surprised that there were no mishaps because these guys KNOW what they are doing. Jerry, one of their specialist climbers, was amazing to watch.The owners and crew couldn't have been nicer, and we're just so appreciative of their hard work and professional attitude.

They worked into the dark for us and even helped us remove some additional debris from our yard. They knew we would certainly lose our home in Hurricane Irma if that tree fell and cared enough to help us out. Philip even promised to cut us a slice of our tree to turn into a coffee table, so that we could preserve a little of the tree that had been next to our home since the 1940s.

We have a lot of trees on our property and we're going to continue to use Moore & Smith Tree Service. They've definitely earned our respect and loyalty after the way they handled our tree removal. Thanks so much to the entire team. They are FIVE STAR AWESOME and saved our home. We highly recommend them to anyone.

I have had people/companies come out and cut my trees before 2 or 3 times in the past and have never had the service I received this time. When I called for an estimate of the cost to trim and lift my trees Moore & Smith TreeCare came right out and looked at the property and the job to be done. They prepared a very professional report outlining specifically what they would do to each tree. They included Proof of being insured and bonded as well. The job they did was fantastic and they cleaned up the mess as well. I had them come back out to remove a tree and they did just as great a job for that as well! Their pricing is fantastic as also. I have highly recommended them to my friends and family!

I called M&S tree service for a estimate to cut and remove 5 pine trees(80-85ft). an appointment was set and Kasandra, was my first connect with the company. She was prompt, professional, and helpful with advise. they were also the best of 4 quotes. Then Phillip and crew arrived. They did a great job, cut 5 huge trees and cleaned up the area. I am so thankful that my lawn service recommended Moore & Smith! Their pricing is fair and reasonable and everyone I worked with was very professional and courteous. The crew came out and was very efficient in removing the landscape trees and other nuisance shrubs that had taken over part of the yard and they cleaned everything up nicely. Philip was great in keeping me informed on their progress during the time I could not be on-site. I will definitely use them again!

These are very knowledgeable and professional arborists. They did an excellent job on my large oaks both in the front and backyard. When they came out to give me my free estimate they did not oversell, but only recommended exactly what needed to be done to meet my objectives. They took into account the condition and health of my trees. Other companies kept adding on more stuff that "needed" to be done, Moore & Smith did not do that. Additionally, they did all the work as promised and in a timely manner. They left my yard, which had just been re-sodded, in the same great condition it was in when they arrived. I will hire them again and highly recommend them for any tree work you need to have done.

We had a tree fall on our house during the last storm that was allowing rain to pour in to the house. Phil and the guys were out to our house within 30 mins of our first phone call, got the tree removed and the roof tarped in no time. We were overly impressed with how quick their response time was. They were extremely professional, willing to work with our insurance claim and communicated with us every step of the way. It was a mess in the back yard but they did a great job cleaning all the debris and leaving hardly any trace behind. Great service all around!

I had Moore & Smith remove a large cypress tree that had been struck by lightning, as well as some general trimming of some other trees. They were such a pleasure to work with! They were so professional and timely in providing their service and were also the least expensive of the three quotes that I got for the project! The team sent out by Moore & Smith was the most professional tree service I have used to date, and I’ve used a few. We’ve lived in Nashville for over 30 years in the same house, surrounded by old, but beautiful trees. When we discovered that one of our tallest trees was dead, and located behind a property fence, I called around for estimates, knowing that it was going to be a big job. I also read reviews on the different companies. Moore & Smith seemed knowledgable and their price was reasonable. The team, of Nick, who was the chief climber, Cory and Rowdy showed up at the agreed upon time,. calling first so I could put my dogs up. They were incredibly professional. They did the job of removing the tall dead tree and did a reduction and removal of dead limbs from another large tree. They even removed several branches that were overhanging my roof at no extra charge. They walked me thru all of it, when they were done, giving recommendations on other old trees, and making sure I was satisfied with their work. The best part was that they cleared my yard of all debris making it look cleaner and better than before they came. They were efficient, extremely polite and thorough. Nick, Corey and Rowdy worked together as an experienced team to get the job done. I would recommend them most highly and will definitely be using them again..

I highly recommend this company. I have used Moore & Smith for palm tree work as well as trimming a very large oak tree. They are very professional and extremely knowledgeable about trees. Kasandra, the owner, met with me personally to discuss trimming the tree and how to do so to best preserve its integrity and to keep it healthy. The work was done as scheduled and her crew took care to clean up every bit of debris and leave the area immaculate. I had a huge maple tree that had many rotten limbs, the trunk was rotting, and it was dying. I am very impressed with the work done and the clean up! I am very pleased with the job and the price was reasonable. Someone in my neighborhood named Denise Costanza made a very negative review regarding Moore and Smith. She alleged they took advantage of me and cut down a healthy tree. The tree was not healthy. It had the potential to split in two. This would cause major damage. Nothing she said was true. I highly recommend Moore and Smith to anyone needing tree work done. They are very professional and honest. I am extremely satisfied with the job.

From the estimate to the final bill, nothing but the most professional experience. Coming from a construction background, I really appreciate the effort this company puts into each job. We had a dead tree in the back yard of our house that we just moved into 3 weeks ago and it was such a safety hazard that Moore & Smith was able to push through the required permitting and prioritize our safety to remove the tree. If you care about the trees, the visual appeal of your property, and your safety then be sure to invest in the right company for the job. Moore & Smith is fully insured, that means both your property and their workers are taken care of if anything goes wrong. This is very important in their line of work given the dangers. They also have arborists overseeing their jobs which means when they trim your trees, they aren't just cutting for the heck of it (which can lead to worse health for a tree). They are strategically making cuts to maximize the health of your trees and yard. When I came to see the end result, other than some saw dust I could not tell they were ever there. I also was able to meet with the owners who personally work and oversee every job. This was awesome because after talking with Phil, I was convinced I wanted him to manicure all the trees in my front yard on top of the tree removal I had originally hired them for. My neighbor was so impressed she also hired their services on the spot. I will be referring them to all my friends and family!

We found Moore & Smith via Home Advisor, and we feel we won the jackpot. Kasandra (the arborist) responded quickly, and because of my schedule, while I stayed at the office, she walked around our property and assessed our trees with me by phone. The price was moderate and fair, and she sent me a copy of their insurance policies without any grumbling. The crew communicated well and often, keeping us in the loop if any scheduling needed to be altered, as ours was a multi-day affair, and weather was a pain.

In the end, we were very happy with their professionalism and knowledge, making the process easy. They will be our first call from here on out.

Phillip and his team just completed the job of trimming a large live oak tree in our front yard. They did a great job taking down large limbs and trimming the tree exactly as Cassandra had proposed. Both the work and proposal were done efficiently and professionally. The team did a fantastic job with the clean up as well. I would highly recommend M&S for any tree service needs. They are a pleasure to work with.

I hired Moore and Smith to remove a large oak tree from my back yard last year. They did such an outstanding job I hired them again this year to remove another large oak from my yard. I can't say enough good things about them, the crew they had working here were some of the hardest working people I have ever met. They did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves. There was no damage to my roof, fence or yard their prices were well below other estimates I had been given. Great company I highly recommend them.

Moore & Smith Tree Service did an outstanding job with the many oaks and palms in our yard. We weren't sure if we wanted tree removal, or just reduction (cut back) and when Tony came out to speak with us, he was very knowledgeable and gave me quotes for both scenarios. He informed me about the benefits of both, but never tried to sway me to take the more expensive route at all. The quoted price was more than fair and their communication was fantastic. I simply cannot express how diligent they are with their communication during the process and keeping you 100% in the loop during the project. Tony was amazing!!

To add onto that, when the team came out to complete the tree work, they introduced themselves and walked around to each tree and discussed the work to be done with myself and my husband. One of the owners himself also came to our house the day of to discuss the project with us, and was very patient and knowledgeable with all of our questions and concerns.

We were also very pleased with the work completed in the short amount of time (they are very efficient), along with the fact that the cleanup was so diligent you would not known they had even been there (aside from my trees looking amazing after). :)

To top it off, Tony came by after to walk around with me again to make sure everything was done to my liking.

Cassandra and Morgan came to the house and surveyed the work to be done. We had a massive River Birch that has limbs against the house and chimney, as well as draping badly over a neighbors driveway. Upon survey of the tree, Cassandra devised a plan of action, and not only completely put our minds at ease that it would be done correctly, but she proved she knew EXACTLY what she was talking about as an arborist. A true joy to work with.

Despite her company’s earliest opening for work being almost a month out, she was able to have a crew come and perform the work in about a week, between their other jobs, because of the urgent need with the branches against the house.

Her crew was professional, expedient, and they removed all debris (which was extensive on this job) before they departed. A few days later they had another crew come and not only ground down some tree stumps we had from a Crape Myrtle and remove all debris, but also ensure there was nothing outstanding or needing addressed from the previous work done.

We have some tree work to be done in our backyard at the end of the summer, and you can be damned sure that we’ll be calling Cassandra and Morgan again for that work.

*Edit* It should be noted that we took bids and surveys from six major tree service companies after talking first with Cassandra and Morgan. And after speaking with each company after them, we were more and more convinced that Moore and Smith was the company to go with. We’d ask detailed questions of each, and see the owners of other companies squirm in their answers, or in two cases, flat out lie to us, which would have cost us our tree. The ONLY company we spoke with that had the correct and truthful answers, proved they knew what they were doing, and actually cared as much about our tree as we do, was Moore and Smith.

They weren’t the least expensive, and they definitely weren’t the most expensive either. Their price was fair and well worth the money for the quality of work and professionalism they showed. Truth be known, we’d have paid more to them regardless because they were the only company we felt we could, and do trust. This is one of those very rare companies that doing business with them and getting their commitment is a steal at three times the price.

Moore and Smith is an awesome firm. Hurricane Irma unfortunately blew our neighbors tree unto our roof and garage. The tree was a GIANT tree and our insurance referred this firm to us. They were awesome. They were friendly, hard working, and safely and appropriately cut the tree off our roof. They even did some neighbors trees after they do finished our tree. They are fair, honest, trustworthy, timely, and get the job done. I highly recommend them. I had no issues. Highly recommend this company gor your tree needs.

Amazing work! We had two very complicated hackberry trees looming over our house and needed them both to be removed in the same day for a number of reasons. M&S were so helpful and responsive! They sent over extra crew to get the 2-day job done in 1. The crew were completely professional and kept us informed of progress throughout the day. And the trees were taken down seamlessly.

Moore & Smith Tree Care did an excellent job removing and trimming trees around our house. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and fairly priced. They also cleaned up our yard and left it better than they found it. We will definitely use them again!

We had two trees that needed to be cut down because of health reasons. They were both huge. We also had other oak trees to be trimmed and a palm tree. The largest tree had several large branches over our house. I did a lot of research on the local three companies. All but one had unhappy customers. Moore and Smith Tree Service had the best reviews and testimonials of service better than expected. Kasandra arrived on time for the estimate. Obvious she has the experience and knowledge to assess what should be done and explains how. She gave us a fair estimate. There was no pressure. Once we agreed on the price, she got permits required and we set a date.
Phillip and his crew arrived on time. They met with me and make certain all details of the job. Before they started cutting, they took the time to safely plan the job. Every branch fell with a plan. Everyone knew their job and worked as a team. Once the trees were removed, they raked and cleaned the yard. Great job!

Took advantage of my family after a large tree fell. Charged $17,000 to remove one tree! I made the mistake of trusting my insurance provider when they recommended these con artists. My fault for trusting them. They threatened us with a lien on my property when my insurance sat on their bill (unbeknownst to me) for 4 months, then refused to discount their bill despite me providing evidence of poor workmanship and padding their invoice. Horrible people. Beware.
