Now I know why the ratings for Moore & Smith are excellent. We had two Washingtonian Palms that were too close to our house and screened porch. The trees were getting too tall and needed to be removed. The crew was able to remove the trees with no damage to our house or screened porch. I was impressed with their work ethic and courteous service. The cost was very competitive and the job was completed 100% to our satisfaction. Clean up was great, You will not go wrong selecting Moore & Smith for your tree services.

We had a different company come out to examine our trees. He spent no time talking to me, grabbed some leaves from one tree and didn't look at the other, left and didn't call back. When I called them someone else told me my trees could not be saved and that was it.

I then called Moore & Smith. Cassandra spent a lot of time explaining what was going on and said one tree could, in fact, be saved. They got me a quote quickly, came out and worked hard through some rain to get my tree taken down and removed. They had to stop when lightning started but came out a few days later and finished with excellent clean-up. They treated the other tree and, hopefully, it will revive pretty quick! I really couldn't be happier!

I had this company come out and cut some trees on my property. The service was phenomenal and the team went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met, including advising me on the future care of some trees in my yard based on their observations during the assessment and service. I will definitely hire them again when I need more tree work done. Companies do not come more professional than this!!!

I am in the market for a new privacy fence but had been told by the fence company that I would need to clear out several trees before I could proceed with getting the fence. I had tried to reach another tree company that I had dealt with in the past and could never get anyone respond to my phone calls, email or text. At that point I decided I needed to find a new tree service. I chose Moore & Smith due to all of the glowing reviews they received and I was NOT disappointed!! The very first time I called someone answered and was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate the very next day. Tony came out to my home the next day and gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. Tony was very knowledgeable about the variety of trees in my yard and gave me great suggestions on how the fence line could be cleared without chopping down all the small palms that were there. I was very impressed and gave a deposit that day to proceed with the work. I was originally told that they were scheduled out about 2 weeks and I was fine with that, but to my surprise I got a call from Tony about 8-9 days later letting me know that they would be available the next day to do the tree work. When I arrived home after the tree work was done I was so very happy! They did a great job with all the tree work and the cleaned up. I will most definitely use Moore & Smith again for all my future tree needs!

Back in 2019, I researched arborists and licensed tree care specialists in the Sumner County and Nashville area to find someone with knowledge to help us conserve our 150 year old oak and trim other trees that had never been attended on our new property. We were so pleased with Kassandra and her team with their impressive knowledge and skill, that when it came time in November 2023 to do it all again, we called Moore and Smith once more. Kassandra came out to evaluate our trees again and she was pleased with the way the conservation had helped preserve and foster growth. She was so honest with her current assessment of several other trees that would have made her money but were not in need of work, she advised us thus. Not too many contractors would talk you OUT of work and money for themselves. Integrity matters as much as skill to me. Are they the cheapest? No. Are they skilled and trained arborists that will shape and groom your trees PROPERLY for health and growth? Yes. Thank you, Smith and Moore for your excellent customer service and skilled workers. We highly recommend this team.

I called M&S because of their awesome Yelp ratings and they lived up to their reviews. The lady that came out for the quote was nice, professional, and on-time. The price was competitive and scheduling was without hassle. The work was performed exactly as promised and they did a good job cleaning up before they left. I'm fully satisfied with the work they performed and I'd not hesitate to contact them again should I need future tree work. I might have been able to find a lower price, but when there is tons of tree 15 feet from my house, no thanks... I'll go w/ the company with a proven track record of doing it right and the insurance to back it up should something go wrong. This isn't the place to go w/ the low bidder folks.

What a wonderful experience I had this week with Moore & Smith Tree Care!! I had them come out and remove a 65 foot unhealthy tree as well as trim several other trees on the property. Additionally, they injected a tree to get rid of those nasty aphids I’ve been dealing with.

Everyone I dealt with throughout the process was extremely prompt and courteous. The crew that came out was very professional and respectful of my property while they worked. I was amazed at the amount of time spent cleaning up my property when they were done! I highly recommend this very professional and attentive company if you have any tree care needs!

I wish I had better things to say but unfortunately, this was a horrible experience. I hired this company for my boss and let me say, I am so embarrassed that they were my recommendation. They were supposed to show up at 9am. At 8:59am, I get a call saying they can’t be there until 11. At 11:30, I get a call saying they’ll be there at 2. Then, they chop down two trees that were not supposed to be down. On top of all of this, they hit a power line so my boss loses power to his entire house. I was on the phone until 9pm with the power company to get it all fixed. The whole process was supposed to take a day, and it ended up taking over a week. I understand that there were some issues with rain, but they seemed incredibly unorganized as well. I talked to one of the crews that came out, and turns out, she subcontracted them and they don't even work for her company. That same crew texted me a week later and said Moore and Smith hasn't paid them yet. Hopefully they still get paid but that crew leader said she hadn't responded to any of his texts asking for payment. And then literally the second they finally finished up, they were immediately texting me asking for payment. They then said fees will start to accrue if not paid immediately. I reminded them their contract that THEY sent out said we had three business days, and that I just needed my boss to confirm they actually did everything right this time before sending payment. Communication was extremely poor during the whole process, but was great when we were getting an estimate from them, and then at the end when they wanted their money. In the end, all the trees got cleared but it was a stressful situation to say the least.

I have used Moore & Smith several times. They are so very knowledgeable and helpful. They’ve always come in with the best price when I’ve consulted other arborists as well. I will continue to use them for my tree services, and I certainly recommend them to others!

I reached out to them to check out my oak tree, which had a bunch of deadwood. Meagan came over, gave me a consult, and shared some awesome recommendations. She pointed out some treatments I could use and where to grab them, which really helped me save some cash—super grateful for that! I ended up hiring the crew to clear out all the deadwood, and they showed up right on time. The trees are looking so much healthier now. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Late on a Friday evening, the tree next to my house decided to give out and fell on the roof. Oddly enough our internet cable and an old phone line running to the house was bearing most of the weight, but I knew it needed to be resolved quickly to protect the house from further damage. Luckily Moore & Smith kindly took my call when most other tree removal services were closed after hours. And despite having other planned projects the next morning, they came out right away, removed the tree from the house, and cleared up the debris in under 2 hours. They were great to work with, very honest, and were more than accommodating with my insurance agent. I'm not hoping for any more tree related incidents, but if I find myself in a more urgent situation like this one, I would absolutely work them them again.

Called them out to take a look at an ash tree that wasn’t doing well and they identified that it has emerald ash bore and unfortunately was too far gone to be removed. Had a very fair price and was out in few days to have the tree removed and cleaned up and left it looking better than it did before. Great communication and overall experience. From my initial contact with Moore & Smith Tree Care, through the completion of the job, they were extremely helpful. Excellent communication (they kept us in the loop throughout the process, critical in my opinion); a friendly and professional crew; quick to work us into the schedule; and all at a very fair price!
