Constraction reviews in Allen, Texas

We did a fair amount of research on covered patios, asked friends and neighbors, and got several quotes before we decided to go with Bobcat Custom Outdoors. Jimmy is very knowledgeable, was helpful with our design questions, was detail-oriented, and very responsive to our texts/calls. The crew that worked on our patio was great. They showed up as scheduled, always cleaned up at the end of the day, and most importantly, they were super friendly and polite. We are extremely happy with the finished product - love our new outdoor space!

Bobcat team led by Jimmy has recently built an outdoor patio for us. We are very pleased with their workmanship, professionalism and courteous service. Jimmy was thorough and very easy to work with. He kept us updated at each step and was always available for questions & suggestions.. We appreciate their professionalism and flexibility in accommodating all our requests. Their pricing is fair and honest and no cutting corners at any stage. Highly recommend Bobcat custom outdoors.

Thanks to Jimmy and his crew for a great job. We will not look elsewhere for any of our future projects, that's for sure.

Bobcat did our full kitchen renovation in early 2025. They handled demo, haul away, and then the entire rebuild according to our design specifications. For us, this included removing one partial wall, custom cabinet install, paint, electrical, counters, floors, plumbing, appliance install, and tile backsplash. It was a big undertaking over a few months, but someone was here at work constantly and communication was constant about plans. We highly recommend Bobcat Custom Construction to our neighbors looking to undertake a similar project.

Bobcat Custom Outdoors did an amazing job on my outdoor patio and kitchen! My dreams for a luxury outdoor living space could not have gone better with Jimmy and his team! They were very responsive, professional and made sure I was happy throughout the entire process. The workmanship of everything is top notch and I would recommend Bobcat to anyone! I couldn’t be happier!

We met Jimmy through a neighbor and within a week had an onsite meeting and a quote in hand for our new board on board cedar fence. This was the most productive and professional team we've worked with in 25 years. They showed up early, left late and we're all about productivity not activity. For a complex job - including resetting 2 iron gates and welding, we only had 6 or 7 small punch list items - addressed and resolved within 3 working days of submission. I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Jimmy and his team at Bobcat did an outstanding job on remodeling of our kitchen and laying wood floors throughout our downstairs. His attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout the process was second to none. Would absolutely recommend him for any job you need done!

This was our second time using Bobcat Custom - results were fantastic. Bobcat completed full exterior paint, wood replacement and updated our patio with tongue and groove wood and new fans. Will definitely use them again!

We recently had the exterior of our home completely redone. We had brick work done, painting, new roof, and an amazing patio addition built. Jimmy and his team at Bobcat was wonderful to work with. They were on time, reliable, kept a clean job site, pleasant to work with, highly knowledge and the quality of work blew us away. We will definitely use Bobcat for any further home renovations we take on and is highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a contractor.

We had Bobcat Custom Construction do a custom stained concrete overlay for our pool decking. The process was flawless from beginning to end. Jimmy worked closely with us on our vision and design, provided clear pricing and timelines. The team was highly skilled, thorough and did a fantastic job.

The final product exceeded our expectations, was done on time, on budget with professional quality.

We used Bobcat for a driveway removal, replacement, wooden swing gate, and stone landscape edging. I met Jimmy at my house and walked through what I wanted done on the project. He provided a clear and detailed estimate and we went to contract. He let me know the schedule and barring a lot of rain that caused some delays, he had his guys working to get it done. The project has been complete for 8 months and I have a nice new driveway and a beautiful gate that I have received a lot of compliments on. I have and would recommend giving Bobcat a call if you have a project at your home.

We just got Bobcat Custom Outdoors to build us a new fence about a month ago. It has been first rate from the beginning through the completion. From the professionalism of the first meeting to the care and meticulous build and clean-up.... we could not be happier. The fence has actually transitioned our backyard and curb-appeal. I would highly recommend Bobcat Custom Outdoors to anyone looking for a high-quality and very competitive fence.

Loved working with Jimmy. We had a large patio extension and partial outdoor kitchen. He was extremely knowledgeable, coached us on pros and cons of decision making, had great suggestions and he and his team provided excellent craftsmanship. We would use Bobcat Construction again!

I am very pleased with the quality of my patio cover by Bobcat Custom Outdoors. My project was not big in size but is grand in stature. Everyone from Bobcat who worked on my project was professional and left my yard clean. Jimmy gave me a $500 "magazine discount" that I knew nothing about. I will surely be using Bobcat Custom Outdoors on any future projects my wife dreams up.

Bobcat Custom Outdoors did an amazing job with our patio. Jimmy, the owner, was responsive and professional. He was communicative with every step of the way and addressed all the concerns I had. The pricing was reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

We contacted Bobcat Custom Outdoors to quote on a new patio cover and to extend and install a concrete patio and a courtyard. The quote was great. Bobcat submitted all the paperwork to the City of McKinney and supplied the paperwork for us to submit to the HOA. The quality and attention to detail in their work was excellent. All the subcontractors were polite and diligent to get a great job done. It took a little longer due to Covid but we couldn't be happier with the result. I would absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend Bobcat.

I want to say Jimmy with Bobcat Customs was such a pleasure to work with on our Deck cover and new fencing. There were no hassles, great crew of guys on his team, great workmanship, very professional. Everything went just as Jimmy said it would, and I want to tell you it went fast, lol. The deck cover and new fence we put off way too long. Jimmy made our vision come to light perfectly... You'll find us hanging out in the backyard a lot now! Bobcat Customs is THE BEST!!! we're spreading the word. Thanks again Jimmy!

We recently had Bobcat do a roughly 600 sqft concrete expansion to our patio, an 18’x24’ gabled roof extension and 16’x16’ pergola as well as an Austin cream chopped stone outdoor kitchen and bar and all the electric work to go along with it. We had 4 different contractors come out and bid; Jimmy with Bobcat hands down was the most thorough and willing to help us realize our dream patio. He was both knowledgeable and creative. His crews are amazing and the quality and craftsmanship can’t be beat. I would highly recommend Bobcat for outdoor patio work.

Jimmy and his crews were fantastic to work with. His drawings were perfect which made permit and HOA approval fast and easy. His crews were very friendly and worked hard the entire time they were on site. We are very excited, happy and proud of our simple patio cover and stamped concrete. It is beautiful and we love spending time hanging out under it. We highly recommend Jimmy and his team to make your back yard look as amazing as you want.

Jimmy and is crew did an awesome job, we are extremely pleased with how our backyard turned out. I had several companies bid the same project and Jimmy's bid was the most reasonable and in the end he provided excellent quality and craftmanship. My wife and I agree, that the stone mason, and his crew were artisans. We will recommend Bobcat Customs to anyone looking to renovate their backyard.

We had the absolute best experience working with Bobcat Custom Construction on our backyard project here in Allen. Jimmy managed the entire scope of the project flawlessly and was incredibly accessible, answering every question we had along the way. He even handled all the HOA and City of Allen requirements, setting clear expectations and getting approvals quickly and smoothly — a huge relief for us!

Jimmy and his team built our stunning pergola, extended our patio, and coordinated beautifully with our pool installers to ensure everything came together perfectly. His crew was professional, efficient, and made the entire process seamless.

Now that we’ve had a full summer to enjoy our new outdoor space, we can confidently say we love every single aspect of it.
