Wauson was very reasonably priced, but more importantly they 100% stand behind their work. I had them take care of 2 trees in serious need of pruning and one in particular was having wisteria growing up and across. 2 months after they were here, I sent an email saying that it probably is still a little too close, and they happily showed up the next Monday and took it back more to make sure it wouldn't happen in the future.

Walt and his team have the right equipment, the motivation and the skills required. Cut and ground off a sick peach tree in no time, left the yard as they found it, shredded everything but the trunk parts and off they went. The best service we have had outside our home. Highly recommended.

Our neighborhood had a very difficult large willow tree that had grown into a rock column with large roots that went everywhere, causing the upheaval of a brick wall and column. Timing was important for minimal disruption to the surrounding residents. Wauson showed up at 7:30 am and removed the tree, ground up all the roots, following them to their widespread ends. They disassembled and reassembled a board-on-board fence and everything went so smoothly! The results were amazing. You cannot even tell that the tree was ever there.

Furthermore, Walt and his team bolted, cabled and trimmed a mature cedar elm that was splitting. The tree looks amazing now, the cabling and bolting is barely visible and the trimming is just the right amount. So many tree services cut way too much and leave a bare look. Not Wauson. Walt the arborist knows how to make it look beautiful.

In my own front yard, Wauson corrected some work that was done by another tree service and balanced the trees well. In the back yard, they removed just the right amount of weight from each tree, according to my preference, made space for a redbud to grow, and cleared out dead wood in all the trees, all for a very reasonable price.

When the workers finished, Walt checked and had them do a couple more things to make it just perfect. I really appreciated the care he and his crew took to get the trees just the way I wanted them and went the second mile to make them better than I had imagined they would look.

I consulted other tree services. Wauson was quite reasonable and did more than the others talked about. Usually it's the other way around, with getting more talk and less action. I am super pleased.

ALWAYS, after decades & decades, exceptional, excellent, and far above average results and pricing besides being very reliable! Walt is such a respectful young man and honorable to his word! My Mom in Oak Cliff first used his Dad, Rodney (before Walt was born), because his price was half of another bid. We used Rodney for many years and now his son, Walt, has taken our area in Plano; and so Walt has been our tree guy for decades now. Great folks!!! Love a family business as well!

The service by Wauson Tree Service was excellent. I had them removed 2 trees and they were efficient and careful going about their work. Great team that left yard in good shape. Have already been asked by a couple of people about them and recommended they consider Wauson for their tree service.

Anyone looking for a tree service company, look no further. Wauson did a wonderful job on all of our trees and they cleaned up like they were never even here. Their quote was less than other companies were giving for only trimming our two oaks in the front yard. The entire team was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. They will definitely be the only tree service I use going forward.

Astounding service, follow-through, every single part of having our trees removed was PERFECT. The best thing is that Walt is so smart and communicates well, unlike so many other contractors who show up and talk your ear off for a half hour in the yard! He set up the bulk pickup through the city for us, threw in some extra things and was really pleasant and professional throughout the whole process. I only wish he did all of the other services a homeowner needs because then our lives would be easy! ;)

Great experience. Wauson pruned four large trees on our Richardson property. His crew was quick, courteous and thorough. They left the yard cleaner than they found it. Two weeks after they pruned, we were hit with severe stormy weather with high winds and not one branch fell in the yard. Walt kept us informed about when his team would come to inspect our dead tree. We received the quote promptly. They were able to reschedule us to an earlier time of the day. The team was efficient, courteous, and we were able to even save some parts of the tree trunks for our backyard. They cleaned up well after the tree came down. Very happy with their service.

We were very pleased with the service Wauson Tree Service provided. The price was very fair. They arrived right on time. They trimmed a very large oak tree in our backyard, and did an excellent job. We have used many other tree services in the past, but Wauson did the best job, by far. They cleaned up all the limbs and leaves. Will definitely use them again, and would recommend them without hesitation.

I highly recommend them and writing this now (03/12/24) because Walt, after a recent drive-by, recommended I wait another year. Not only is Walt a certified arborist, but this shows he is also a certified honestist!

Update after 05/28/24 storm: I am thankful that my two large backyard trees had no significant damage, probably in part to Wauson's care over the past several years.

Outstanding, professional, and reasonably priced. Walt has a wealth of knowledge and experience and knows how to thin out trees, weight distribution, health, etc. Its the full experience vs cutting a few limbs here and there. His crew is high up in the trees doing hard work. Thrilled with the outcome, highly recommended.

Wauson Tree Service trimmed several of our trees in January. The crew was on site for almost 8 hours and even trimmed trees that were not in the initial bid. Walt was quite attentive to our questions and the whole experience was good. We would definitely hire Wauson Tree Service again!
