We needed some heavy pruning and reshaping on a tree in the front yard and Derek and crew did a flawless job. The tree is balanced now and the grass will get more light. They vacuumed up every scrap from the yard. Friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We will call them again.

I had an 18" diameter Live Oak tree that was damaged so much in the extreme cold of Feb. 2021 that I decided it had to go after a year. Lumberjack Tree Service was the most responsive and gave me a competitive quote vs. 2 others. Derek sent a 3-man crew over to remove the tree and do deep stump grinding (so I could plant a garden there). The crew was extremely skilled, quick, and well-equipped. Their rope work was amazing. The tree was next to a fence and had a crepe myrtle beneath and neither was damaged at all after the removal. The large remote controlled stump grinder did a great job. They cleaned everything really well and left me with some nice mulch as requested. The online billing and payment process was quick and easy. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole operation- they are true professionals. I would not hesitate to use Lumberjack Tree Service again.

Derrick and his crew were amazing! I called Derrick and he came out the next day, met with my boyfriend and put a plan and estimate together and then called his tree guys in to get started. They trimmed our 3 mature trees and they look amazing. They also removed 3 dead trees and plan to come back and plant new ones as well as remove a stump that another tree company said they couldn’t take care of. All at a very affordable price! The owner Derek Herbert gave us a professional quote to trim a very over grown pecan tree in back yard and remove a partially dead sweet gum tree with roots showing. His expertise as an arborist and his great reviews influenced us choosing his company. They came out the same week. We are very pleased with the way the jobs were carried out. New info 7/2024: Live Oak had a cross branch that needed to be cut, and it was big. Derrick told me it would leave a hole, but to trust him. Good thing I did! It looks great now, 2 years later. The tree is full and balanced.

Repeat Customer! Derek did a lot of work on my trees at the end of last summer, when everything still had leaves and they looked great. For the Spring, my big Chinese Pistachio needed more crown thinning so that we can get grass under it. He also cleaned up a Fig tree that had been severely damaged by weather. Everything looks great and he and his crew are easy to work with. He really listens to concerns and offers excellent suggestions.

Derrick has an eye for detail and he respected my expectations to keep my trees very natural looking. The result is that my trees are absolutely beautiful, and you would never know they had just been trimmed!

They also did a hard cut back on 3 out of control vitex and they look like respectable members of the garden again. They picked up every last twig, including piles I had made earlier in the summer. Derrick came back the next day to look everything over and be sure I was satisfied before I paid him.

You have seen trees that are scarred, gashes cut in the side, naked limbs, or even the tops cut off! Don't trust your beautiful trees to people who do that. Call Derrick, your neighbors and trees will thank you!

We had an old dying pecan tree growing in between our garage and chain link fence. Derek’s crew did an amazing job!!! Unfortunately our neighbor put a stop to the process when the cutting got close to the fence, God will deal with him no doubt. The crew that performed the work were awesome left the place cleaner than it was when they arrived. Will use again am sure and definitely spread the word of the skillful, respectful crew! We were out of town when our neighbor called and said our huge American Elm had spit in two and fallen in the back yard. When we returned, we got 4 bids from various tree people. Not only was Lumberjack Tree Service the lowest bid, but they showed up on time with a crew of 6. Everyone knew their job and were proficient at it. They took this enormous tree down in 6-1/2 hours. It had a circumference of 8’. They did a great job of cleanup. We couldn’t be more pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs tree service. They were great to work with.

Derek and his team recently, did a wonderful job thinning out and trimming, several large oak trees on our property.
