Constraction reviews in Austin, Texas

Our first encounter with Karl Larson and Balcones Roofing was an emergency during the 2021 winter ice storm. We woke up one morning to find water dripping through the ceiling of our half bath. After several calls to local roofers, I luckily chanced upon Karl. He arrived at our home within an hour in spite of the iced over roads. He proceeded to climb onto our roof to clear a large area of ice that was slowly melting. He then cleared the ice dam that had formed in the gutter to allow the melt water to flow away from rather than under the roof tiles. Our second call to Balcones Roofing was this morning when we realized that strong wind gusts had pulled one of our downspouts down. Again Karl came personally and was here within a very short time. He quickly remounted the downspout and the repair was more solid than the original installation. Karl responds quickly and does great work at very reasonable prices. We highly recommend Balcones Roofing.

Karl and his team are amazing. From initial contact to determining whether I needed a roof replacement, to his team, the materials and warranty - everything was top notch. Every step of the process was friendly and informative. I am super happy I chose Balcones roofing and am in love with the quality of the installation and the beauty of the final result.

The crew came to the house quickly and did a great job at a fair price. Highly recommended.

Great work. Transparent, quick, and most importantly, great communication

I love working with this company. They were helpful and honest and fair. I would recommend them to anyone.

The teams came and did their job and cleaned up all the debris. I would highly recommend Balcones A+ job and staff

Kyle and Karl know how to provide outstanding customer service. The quality of the work is outstanding.

Worked on an extensive exterior restoration project with Balcones Roofing and found the owner Karl to be super great to work with, very knowledgeable, and professional. I’d highly recommend them!

Karl and Kyle are wonderful to work with - they are trustworthy and provided photos throughout both the assessment and repair process to make sure we understood everything and could track it for our records as homeowners.

Excellent company to work with; they have deep knowledge of roofing as well as construction. Had several roofers giving me quotes for shingles and f-wave, but none addressed the venting mess we had in the attic: we have gable vents, and had ridge vents without soffit vent (ridge vents need soffits to work), and passive dome vents to fix a problem created by the ridge vents. Every summer it be mad house hot upstairs with A/C constantly going on and off. Balcones looked at it and brought it to our attention, talked us though why it was bad and what they suggest to do. Closed of ridge and domes so that gable vents work as they should. And now it’s noticeably better upstairs and man it was been hot here this week peeking at 108. I’d highly recommend Balcones, top team to work with.

Kyle and Karl were easy to work with on a complicated project, and the work crew was equally pleasant. Everyone was in good spirits as they worked, taking their time to get things done right while still getting everything done on time. And the finished project looks fantastic!

They were fast, professional, and charged a fair price. My roof was leaking onto my pool table, I called, and within 2 days my leak was repaired. Courteous staff. Will definitely use them for all my roofing needs from now on.

Karl and his team inspected our tile roof and made the necessary repairs. He is very knowledgeable and great to work with. I highly recommend Karl and Balcones Roofing.

I used Balcones Roofing to replace my roof after SF insurance denied my claim, sadly (like a bad neighbor ☹️). Nonetheless, Balcones gave me a very reasonable price for a class 4 impact rated shingle and now I have a beautiful new roof that should be able to withstand a Texas hail storm! They showed up early and worked hard all day and a half, cleaned up and everything is back to normal except that I have a wonderful new roof. I highly recommend Balcones roofing!

This company is exceptional in their response, fairness and service! It’s always worrying for a homeowner to find roof tiles in their driveway. Kyle was out the same day we first spoke on the phone and they were working on the roof the next day.

They’ve done several roofs in our neighborhood and everyone says well-deserved great things about the company.

We just got our roof redone and we were so impressed. My husband found this company and I am so thankful! We found some damage to our roof and they went above and beyond to submit an insurance claim and be present for the adjuster. They communicated with us so well the whole time, gave us realistic timelines and pricing. Every person at our home was kind and helpful to us. The roof looks amazing, not one single detail was missed. We will recommend them to everyone!

Very professional! Great communicators and walked the job with me to make sure I understood and all expectations were met. Highly recommend.

Clayton was an absolute professional and did amazing work on my roof. I will recommend them to everyone
