Very thankful that I found a company where appointments were easy to set up through their kind office staff. I also appreciated that the arborists working there had multiple years of experience, along with consistent fair quotes every time I would contact them.

I needed a cupule of trees removed from the property and the remaining trees were fed. This is the second time I have used this company and as usual, they did an excellent job

I have used Davey for over 20 years with great success. I’ve been told everything from “not to do anything to a tree and give it time” to “ it’s time for a tree to go”. This weekend we found a tree that had hollowed out and cracked in the trunk. It was about 55’ tall so tricky to cut down. Davey sent a seasoned crew who quickly cut it down on Monday then carefully cleaned up after themselves and even hammered in some loose fence boards. I’ll always call Davey. Thanks

I've hired Davey Tree Service a few times for tree trimming, deep root fertilization, and roof clearing. I recommend them to all my friends and colleagues as I've been consistently impressed by their quality of service, professionalism, and communication.

The oak trees on our property are special and are part of what drew us to our home. They're of course also important to longterm property value, so we want to take care of them. The trusted arborists at Davey have helped up understand what longterm care looks like and they make it seamless to maintain our oaks.

The crews each time have been friendly and very transparent about what they'll get done. The site visit / consultation before the actual work is helpful for aligning on the scope of work, and I appreciate how the arborists balance safety (limbs at risk of falling or touching structures), aesthetics, and health of the trees. On the day the actual work gets done, the crew introduces themselves and repeats the agreed-upon scope of work. Before they leave, they provide a thorough walk-through of what they completed and are available to answer questions. They've also done a nice job of clean up to ensure the yard looks great after they're done.

It's really nice to work with a company that is punctual with appointments, makes scheduling seamless, and follows up after a job is complete to ensure it was satisfactory and to solicit feedback. I appreciate that they've been willing to work with me on bids to tailor the scope of work such that it met my budget. They're trustworthy and really make me feel like they put their customers first.

Talia and Esther in particular deserve shout outs for their polite and speedy communication and follow-through on jobs. Talia was super helpful and proactive in helping me with my annual clean-up, without ever feeling pushy. Overall I'm really impressed with the Davey team!

Francisco has been very helpful in assessing my trees then recommending actions to remedy the wound and improve the health. He noticed tree health issues that an arborist from another company did not mention.

I continue to work with Francisco.

I cannot recommend Davey Tree Service more, especially Francisco & Talia. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and truly care about what they do. Francisco is our arborist and responds to emails and phone calls quickly and has followed up with us in person regarding the treatment plans for our trees on numerous occasions. He is a positive person who goes out of his way to ensure all questions are answered. We like how he personally assesses each of our trees several times a year and updates the care plans accordingly. Use them for all your tree needs!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting with William Johnston from Davey Arborists, and I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism and expertise. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that William was not only knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about his work. He took the time to thoroughly assess the trees on our property and provided clear, thoughtful recommendations.

What stood out most was his attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the health and safety of the trees, as well as the surrounding area. He handled everything with care, and his communication was excellent throughout the entire process. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines such technical skill with such a friendly and approachable demeanor.

I would highly recommend William Johnston and Davey Arborists to anyone in need of arborist services. His professionalism and dedication to the job were truly impressive!

The Arborist who came to look at my trees was very knowlegable, professional, and helped me to decide the best approach for the health of 3 very large oaks, particularly to one fungus infected tree - which was removed. The people who came to do the work were absolutely wonderful - very efficient, very professional, and very safe. They removed the infected tree, trimmed the other tree that needed it, cleared all the debris, and shredded all the branches. Cannot recommend them enough.

Daveys tree service contracts with Austin energy to trim branches near the power lines. When they came out for a consult I was assured that they would be able to trim the limbs on the back of the tree only. Instead they destroyed the top of a very healthy tree, including most of the branches that were no where near the power line, including the central branch that grew straight up.
Also explain why they had 7 men come out to trim one tree? When they were told to stop they laughed and kept going. My tree is mutilated. If this is what our tax dollars or energy bills pay for we’re all owed an apology.

Will and the crew were extremely professional and polite. They performed timely and excellent work. The crew was friendly and explained things if we had any questions. And they did an impeccable job of cleaning up. I highly recommend Davey Tree!

Leon and the other guys have been on my street (Valley Oak) for a few weeks, clearing trees away from power lines. These guys were nice, respectful and made sure I understood what they were going to have to do to our trees. Now we're going to get a few cool new replacement trees so we are very happy!

Update 7/10 - I worked with Will who kindly came out to assess what was wrong with the tree and very much took accountability for the lack of communication and responsiveness of the front office. Will worked at length to help me identify what could be causing the issue and if it was something to do with the tree treatment or there was another cause. They even did a soil test to try and see what results we may find. It unfortunatly came back that it was herbacide damade and did not look like it was improperly fertilized. So with that the plan is to deep water and stop all other tree treatment as that can easterbate the issue. Because Will stepped it and went above and beyond I am changing my original post and experience from two stars to three. I would still encourage the company to exlore better communication and make sure that all technicians are monitoring the trees for any damage if you are on the subscription service.

I will keep the short and sweet I do not recommend this company. I originally signed up because there was a wonderful person who helped me with a tree on my property. Unfortunately, since that person has left, it seems that I now have tree damage that has gone unaddressed for weeks I can’t get anyone on the phone nor can I get them to show up for an appointment. It seems that this company is most concerned with making money through recurring services and not actually taking care of my tree. I am pretty certain that what damaged my tree is too harsh of chemical treatments as this tree has been alive for eight years and I’ve never seen anything like the leaf burn I have until these treatments started.

Update: someone finally called me back after a person showed up at my other house to treat trees there (which would result in more money owed to them) but not at the house with the damage. He was able to get the DM to call me. The DM said he would look at it 5 business days from now and he never had an appointment on his schedule for yesterday. Why wait 5 more days to help? Why wouldn’t he come today or at least tomorrow? I am assuming it’s because it isn’t in his route until Monday and it would take away from paid services.

I stand behind my original post, this company does not have customer service that you can trust unfortunately. I would look elsewhere and pay attention to the good and less favorable reviews when selecting. I didn’t originally because I met and loved the person that has since left the company. Learn from my misfortune 🌳.

Worked with Francisco. Very knowledgeable, professional, and provided an excellent price. The crew that came out was also awesome. They had to climb the trees and take them apart piece by piece. They got them down without breaking the fence they were growing next to or anything else in the yard. I watched from inside the house most of the day. I was fascinated, surprised, and impressed. And they somehow left the backyard cleaner than it was before they cut down 3 trees. 10/10 would recommend these guys.

Ernest has been cutting my yard since 2019. He really is an artist when it comes to your yard. And I don’t have to call him. He comes every two weeks faithfully. And he doesn’t take all day

Ernest has been my yard man for the last 6 years. When I moved to a new location and bigger yard. I asked him could he accommodate and he did with no problems. I couldn’t be happier with the work he does with my yard. Ernest Scott pays attention to detail. He keeps the entire yard neat, healthy, and well-maintained. Ernest is always punctual, professional, and friendly. He has all his own equipment. When he is done cutting, trimming & shaping. You can’t tell he just cut your grass. His clean up is just as grand as his cut. He makes the experience stress-free. He takes great pride in his work. What really stands out is the consistency and care he puts into every visit. My yard has never looked better! I would Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great looking yard. With top tier customer service.

Phenomenal service, he took out an eight stump left from a massive oak tree that was planted on the edge of a retaining wall in under an hour..

Rocky has a high-powered patented piece of machinery that makes quick work of big stumps. He's quick to answer by text and got the job done. My go-to guy from now on.

Rocky was friendly, professional, and did a great job grinding four stumps in a backyard bed that was tricky to reach. I hope we don’t have any more ice storms in Austin, but if we ever need stump grinding done again, we would definitely call Rocky for the job!
