Five stars is not enough! This company is amazing! Rhone explained the process and immediately scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Chelsea came out the next day and was very caring and professional as well as knowledgeable. We received an estimate that day that was more than HALF the cost of the other estimate we received for the same services. Chelsea and her team arrived on time and finished the work thoroughly and efficiently while being respectful of the rest of the property. Spaulding Decon made what should have been a difficult situation seem easy and stress-free.

We hired Spaulding Decon to clean up after a rat infestation and we couldn’t be happier with the job they did. They were very good at communicating, everyone I interacted with was super nice, and the guys who did the job did an amazing job cleaning and working together to complete in a timely manner. It took them about 3 hours total and it looks like a whole new garage. I would hire them to just come clean out and organize my garage again. We feel so much better about our space after these guys came and fixed our problem. Thank you so much!!

Perfect service and high quality work completed! I recently purchased an investment property in Kyle, Tx and only had about 48 hours to get the carpets cleaned before the tenants moved in. The previous owners had two dogs and you could still smell them upon entering the house.

I really didn't think I would be able to find a company who could be out there so quick but The Steam Team did not disappoint. I called them up on a Thursday afternoon and they had the job completed by Saturday morning! Not only were they super responsive but the quality of the work was also top notch. The carpets look brand new and smell like it too!

Mario and team were EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. My carpets and tile had 6 years worth of stains from toddlers and puppies…”had” being the key word. My floors look beautiful and the price was great! We’ll Done Steam Team!

The Steam Team is truly an all in one cleaning and restoration company. We had a water heater that leaked in the attic and flooded our dining and living room. They were able to arrive within 30 minutes to explain the drying process and start the work. The communication was great and they kept me updated on the progress of the job. They also handled all the repairs for the sheet rock and painting. The work was top notch and the process was simple. Even my insurance adjuster was happy and very impressed. They also did some tile cleaning and we were amazed at the results. This is a real 5 star company.

The Steam Team is wonderful. When our dog decided that going to the restroom outside was beneath him, and that our new, expensive rugs were a much better place to take care of business the Steam Team came to our rescue. I honestly thought that there was no way they would be able to restore our rugs, but they did! I'm so grateful that they took such special care of our rugs. Great customer service and they truly stand behind their work!

This is the third time we have called The Steam Team to clean our carpets. Our son-in-law, who has been in the flooring business for almost 30 years, would probably disown us if we called anyone else. The Steam Team has been his go-to service for a lot of years. It was a pretty ho-hum experience actually. We asked for a early appointment so we could open the house and turn on the ceiling fans to speed up the drying process before it got too hot. Well, their dispatcher called us at 8:30 to say that the tech would be there at 9:00, just as we agreed. At 9:00, Mario pulled up in his van. He took a quick check to see what he had to do. Three bedroom carpets, one walk-in closet, and a living room area rug. He got to work and at 10:30 was headed for his next appointment. Fast, friendly, professional service, at a reasonable price. Exactly as advertised. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

I TD impossible to overstate how impressed I am with Steve at Steam team. My building has been blowing black particles on my tenants for a long time. It’s been horrible and to make things worse, it’s a medical building. Steve and his crew cleaned my air handler and ductwork. They have been at it for 13 hrs because it was that bad. It’s important to note the price was set already. Steve had every reason to cut corners but did the exact opposite. Going the extra mile is an understatement. I can’t list all the amazing work they did for me today. They are the best!

If you are looking for quality water/mold remediation, performed by ethical people who take pride in their work and the company’s reputation, the Steam Team is not for you. They falsely accused me of approving more work than was originally agreed upon, ripped the clear coat off of my hardwood floor, and spilled tar across 3 rooms of carpet. They admitted that the damage was caused by negligence, and could have been avoided, but ultimately hid behind the contract I signed that cleared them of any liability for damages; even when that damage occurred in other areas of the house outside of the containment zone. I was told that "insurance should be paying for..." the roughly $20k in repair cost; insurance didn’t agree. They refused to pick up the phone and resolve this amicably. Their contract did not allow me any avenue of resolution and seems to be the result of decades of preying on the vulnerability of local Austinites in their time of need. The cherry on top was their refusal to sign the Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation form (important if you ever want to sell your house). I was forced to hire a Public Adjuster to prove that the work The Steam Team performed actually remediated the mold damage (ironic, I know), and only at that time did they finally sign the form. Use them at your own peril.

**EDIT** The Steam Team still falsely claims that I approved work that I did not. Their own pictures show that plywood and vapor barrier were removed from the interior side of an external-facing wall on July 9th, leaving nothing but studs and brick. That was not part of the protocol. The email approval they refer to was initialed by the MAC on July 17th, well after the work was already done, and is reference to a completely different scope of work in a different room. While a contract may allow them to blindly demolish your house until they see fit, there is a reasonable expectation that a reputable firm would have called and talked through something of that magnitude before doing it, or provided reasons for it. I now need to remove the external brick wall to properly install plywood and layer the vapor barrier correctly over the middle section that they removed. That is a significant difference of repair, with a significantly different scope of work and cost. It's one thing to remove an extra 40 square feet of insulation and drywall; this is very different.

Additionally, I was provided no report of what was found that caused the extra work. I received a handful of dated pictures, but no information as to why studs were removed, vapor barrier is missing, etc. Just a blanket comment referring to their contract that allowed them to perform the work as they see fit, but no justification for that decision. It's surely an uphill battle to resolve disputes when you are forced to sign things like: "STI shall have no liability damage caused by conduct or action reasonably necessary to perform the Work....including NEGLIGENCE[sic]."

And still, they want me to hire someone else to advocate on my behalf because of their lack of professional accountability. Unfortunately my insurance company refused to pay based on their "work performed was done according to the agreed upon scope, and there was no practical alternative method" reasoning, with no additional evidence or information.

I provided payment information prior to the work beginning, as required in the contract I signed, yet they will try to say that lack of payment held up the CMDR. Let's ignore the verbiage on the document that requires them to provide it 10 days after the work is done (work completed 7/10/24, CMDR signed 10/28/24, CMDR received 2/5/25). I'm not sure what you would do, but if you held up your end of the contract by giving them unfettered access to your house and the payment information they required, and you then experienced a level of damage that will end up costing you three times the original estimate, would you allow them in again to potentially create more? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

The Steam Team was fantastic to work with! From the estimate, to the project planning, to the work itself they were courteous and professional. They were willing to work around and with my work schedule, and with my insurance company when it was needed. The work was done ahead of schedule, and I was kept 'in the loop' the entire time (my feedback was always listened to and used). And I really liked that throughout the entire process I was never once left worrying about a team of people coming in and out of my home: it was a pleasure!

We've been using Steam Team for years! There is no place else we'd go for carpet and rug cleaning. They are honest, dependable, and do a great job.
