McTarga did an incredible job, first of all finding the leak in our Spa that no one else could find and secondly cutting out solid rock wall to manage a very difficult plumbing connection and replacing back the rock absolutely perfectly!
I would recommend them to anyone with a pool/spa leak.

Michael was very helpful and easy to work with, he was able to find and fix the leak in my pool after two other companies couldn't find it. His team did great work for a fair price. Will definitely be using them for any pool repair needs in the future. Thank you!

Michael and his team recently helped me with a skimmer replacement and some additional plumbing repairs, and overall, we had a great experience with them ( well, as great of a time as you can have fixing a pool leak :). Becky from the office was quick to respond to my inquiry and schedule Michael for the initial leak detection service. He utilized pressure testing and some hightech audio equipment to find my skimmer leak, then he and his team of plumber's did excellent work repairing the leak. Overall, their communication was excellent, and I was made aware of all of the costs of repair along the way.

I can’t say enough great things about Mike and Becky from McTarga pools! Becky was super responsive and got us scheduled right away for detection. Mike and his team worked tirelessly! Once it was identified, Mike gave us a clear plan of what needed to happen, the cost, and the timeline. They came to do the repairs a few days later and got the job done efficiently and no more leak. On top of this, Mike is such a genuine and kind person. Great people and great work. Highly recommend!!

Original Review: Had a great experience with this Austin company form the initial phone call and follow up communication with Becky to Mike and his assistant who came to our home for a leak diagnosis and in my case they were able to stop the leak until repairs can be done. They were thorough, professional, personable and definitely masters of their craft.

Michael and his team were wonderful to work with! Our main drain pool leak was not an easy find but they triple checked before starting cutting and repairing. We appreciated their dedication to minimal cuts and making things run smoothly again!

Mike and his team were great. Prompt, efficient, professional and they fixed our problems (skimmer and connecting water line had leak in elbow connection) in no time. Mike made it a point to call and checked on us during the freeze of Christmas and directed us on what to do. We are very happy to find a local small business we feel comfortable with and will definitely recommend and use them again if need be.

Michael truly jumped at the chance to get our pool leak identified and proposed a solution. The work started on time and I was updated very well along the way, not being onsite when work began and was underway. He was also able to pivot the work when some additional issues were discovered such as a potential issue with our original bottom-fed drain. However a couple of things that followed let us to rate our overall experience as semi-poor:
- Since we were not in town when the work was done, we expected a 'like for like' repair meaning the surfaces would match, etc. But there was a white 'open heart surgery' looking scar, 9in wide almost end-to-end the length of our pool over 20ft long in white repair material versus the blue-green pool finish. I discussed tile matching in heavy detail which he needed to find and replace and he did an amazing job matching 7+ yr old tile so I expected to have the rest of the work match, too. On me to get 100% agreement there but also 100% on him to be thorough enough to preview that match, too.

- About a month after the repair we experienced dramatic loss of water whenever there was heavy rain. He did come out once and was not able to ID the issue. He committed to having his team come by to look into additional areas but never showed.

- I have tried three times to reach him since this last commitment. I fully expect to pay for time and materials if something new was found. No returned calls.

I have adjusted lots of expectations with contractors since becoming a homeowner and because Michael was so amazing at first I fully expected the same ongoing level of service; I was left disappointed. I do not know how or if to recommend Michael since there was such a wide swing in service levels.

McTarga Pools was the third company to try and address our pool leak(s). Michael inspected our pool and pool equipment. He ascertained the probable leak. His crew repaired the leak. Our pool is functioning without the water loss. Both Michael and Becky were readily available for our pool needs.

What a great team from McTarga pools! Mike and Becky were very responsive and got us scheduled right away. Mike came to our home and spent a few hours ( and multiple tools/equipment ) to painstakingly locate the leak. He gave us a clear plan of what needed to happen, the cost, and the timeline. His team came to do the repairs a few days later and got the job done efficiently and the replacement work looks great. I found Mctarga via a google search! And I am so glad that I did. Michael is an absolute expert, our pool was two years old and leaking with a broken skimmer box. He identified the problem, came up with a solution and within 48 hours his workers fixed the problem. Our pool is working perfectly and we can finally enjoy it. Great crew to work with and have used Best Austin Handyman for numerous remodeling projects at my house. Very helpful team as well.

I have used these guys to remodel my kitchen and bath, and then after we moved to another house, they did a ton of stuff, and all of it well. They are the POLAR OPPOSITE of other contractors — clear communication, always reachable, committed to customer service... every once in a while one of the subcontractors does what they do (not show up, for example), but the head contractors always take care of it. Seriously, I can't recommend them highly enough. I will use them FOREVER!

Remove and replace bottom of sink cabinet. The work was done very professional, on time.
