We love Best Austin Handyman, they've done great work on three projects for us already (a mudroom, accent wall/entertainment center, and under stair storage) and we will continue working with them in the future.

We were referred to best austin handyman from a friend who used them for her remodel. Sam and his team installed recessed lighting in a matter of hours. They were professional and clean. We look forward to additional home projects in the near future.

I had Best Austin Handyman out for a high-end bathroom remodel. After tearing through a handful of other GC's and contractors, I found BAH on referral from a friend. Pricing is upfront, communication is great, and Barrett's guys show up when they say they are. We had a few small issues come up during and after the remodel and we worked through them together. Our bathroom looks dazzling. Since the remodel, I've used BAH for smaller projects at my rental properties and I appreciate the swiftness of response and execution on those projects. I plan to continue to use Barrett and his team until they tire of me :)

I recently bought an older home that needed updating. I started with the bathroom. I got several bids from local remodeling companies. I chose Best Austin Handyman and Remodeling because they were very responsive and gave me a reasonable price. They started and finished the project in two weeks and came in under budget. The workers were very polite and did a great job, even though they ran into a few plumbing issues. . I'll definitely use BAH again, and recommend them to my friends.

We really like the owner and our project turned out great. There were a few bumps in the road and some follow up needed, but everything is just about resolved.

I would recommend meeting with them and using them, but my advice is: get everything in writing and follow phone/verbal conversations with an emailed review to avoid mismatched expectations. Probably necessary advice with any contractor, really!

Barret and his team were professional, easy to work with, and quite flexible. We had some wall repairs that needed to happen and being on a budget, he allowed me to finish the painting myself, which saved us a significant amount of money from other contractors estimates. Would definitely call them again.

I recently had the pleasure of working with the Best Austin Handyman team and, cheesiness aside, I believe I found the BEST in Austin.
Our hot water heater exploded and it sits in an elevated closet with our AC. It was a mess of a job. Other local companies either declined the work or wanted to charge to give me a quote. That's not the way Barrett and his team rolls though. Not only did he come out himself to determine the level of work needed but he did so with top notch customer service, a great attitude and provided a very reasonable quote. He even taught us a couple of tricks about our AC and garage door while he was there.
The professionalism and kindness of the team was steadfast when they came out to do the work. When they opened the wall and found mold, it was an obvious game changer. He communicated with us with concern and care as we worked through the steps needed to remediate the space and complete the work. The team went above and beyond on multiple occasions including resealing my AC which was beyond the scope of work. Overall, they made a nightmare scenario manageable and fairly stress free.
If you are looking for quality craftsmanship, great problem solving, superb customer service and a team that truly wants to help, look no further! 5 mins with Barrett and his team or a few email communications with Amy and you'll know you are in good hands.
I can't express enough that this team loves what they do and care about the people they serve. They want to help you. That's far too rare these days. You better believe their number is saved in my phone!

I have worked with Best Austin Handyman for about six years through numerous repairs and a remodel. Each time, they have been incredibly responsive and on time, completing the job as promised and to a first-class standard. Barrett and all their tradesman have been professional and trustworthy and I have been completely satisfied with the work. When something needs fixing, I count on them and continue to call them for all our construction and maintenance needs.

Barrett and Amy have been a class act to work with from the get-go. They did fantastic work and consider them my go-to handyman outfit!

Sam and the contractors are all very kind to work with and respectful and trying to get the best result for you. I had direct contact access to my project lead and was able to get responses promptly if I wanted to check on the timeline or needed something changed.

I got my quotes in writing and always asked for pricing for a change order before executing it - that way, there are no surprises later! Don't forget; you get what you pay for. I have had numerous neighbors with contractors who take their money and run. Best Austin Handyman is insured, and that made me feel much better about asking them to do some serious work in my home. I am willing to pay a little more for that peace of mind.

If I was ever dissatisfied with work that was done, I felt comfortable letting my lead and contractors know, and they did everything in their power to fix it. This is huge for me. You speak up, and you are heard and action is taken.

If I could give less than one star I would. These guys started "repairing" my deck in May! It's not quality work: uneven, nails already splitting wood, exposed tarp; it's not even finished, my yard is trashed, and they aren't returning our calls or texts anymore. They've been MIA for 3 whole weeks! Hello Barrett???? Nick???? At least be a man and admit ur never coming back to finish the awful job.

It took almost 8 months for my deck to be replaced. It was never a repair job. For over 3 months I couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Then when I did, you asked for thousands of dollars more. I had to create a walkway from planks you guys left in my yard to make a walkway out my backdoor for myself, pets, and my small child because I was left with a 3ft drop out my backdoor. There was no miscommunication between myself and my mother. Worst experience with contractors I’ve ever had.

We recently used Best Austin Handyman and Remodeling for our patio and some electrical work. Amy and Barrett are extremely easy to work with. The project manager Sam is a great asset to the business. There were some unknowns in electrical work that were communicated ahead of time and when the wiring was opened up, the technical side was handled very professionally, in consultation with us and laying out the options involved. When we requested repeat texture work with drywall/ceiling, that was done too. This is a business that does their job well.

Highly recommend Best Austin Handyman and Remodeling. I hired them to renovate my kitchen after a water leak, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. I’m genuinely happy to have found such a wonderful company that is truly trustworthy and reliable. BAH is now my number one company for home improvements, and I will absolutely be using them for future projects.

Barrett came out early to walk through the plans and offered thoughtful suggestions that really elevated the final look of the kitchen. Just as important, BAH clearly does not have a hidden agenda to charge customers inflated or unnecessary prices. Barrett was transparent and honest about costs, and several items I expected to be very expensive turned out to be far more reasonable than anticipated.

I ran into significant issues with a big-box retailer regarding cabinets, and BAH was incredibly patient and supportive throughout that process. My only regret is not using BAH’s suppliers for cabinets and countertops from the beginning.

Sam, the project manager, and the entire crew were excellent—professional, knowledgeable, and great communicators. Every trade involved, including electricians, tile, plumbers, and drywall, did high-quality work and were genuinely pleasant to have in our home.

From the front office to the owner to the teams on site, BAH consistently went above and beyond. If you’re considering a remodel, stop looking and give them a call. You’ll be glad you did.
