As a busy professional it was a great time saver to have a professional to go through our rentals and address some of the maintenance issues and provide us a list of to dos . Our tenants surprisingly were happy with the intrusion and were happy with the attention to the properties. I'd definitely recommend this service to busy landlords!

I bought my house in Austin via Papasan realty and got referral to Papasan home services through them. Their hourly rates in September 2023 are $90/person or $155/2 person team.

Pro
- they came via reference, as trusty worthy.
- they were responsive when scheduling
- they could unload the POD and assemble the bed properly and in good time.

Cons
- poor workman ship and problem solving - changing a lock took 3-4 attempts to get it right, blamed the lock, the company, finally when they got it right in 4th attempt, Gip accepted his fault. Kitchen Vent work was botched, hanging honey comb blinds was botched - 3/7 blinds installed don't fit. The drape hanging was done via eye balling and wasn't level. difference of 1inch between two sides
- bad work ethic - they were hired hourly but kept taking other project calls and disrupting each other vs being focused.
- extremely poor communication - When I told Dylan about botched job, he was defensive vs apologetic. Wrote a loooong text lecturing me vs. offering to correct on their own dime.
- Non punctual - didn't arrive on time, either of the two days.

Net/net - hire them for low skill job if you are willing to pay their rate. But think twice before hiring them for hourly or high skill job. They may get it right, but it would take them long time and you won't get anything done in time.

After 2 days of their continued botched work I fired them and hired folks from Thumtack with good reviews. Oh, what a relief. rate ranging rom $30-$100/hr but boy, they were skilled. The guy who fixed the vent job, knew exactly what to do and same for others..

I worked with the team at Papasan to replace a damaged attic access panel with a full ladder/door and the results are great. They were fast and precise and I'm very happy with the results.

We've used Brent and his team a few times now and couldn't be happier with the work they've done. Initially it was just some general handyman services. Brent fixed a railing, installed a mailbox, and fixed a door for us. We then had him come back and secure bookshelves to the wall (which posed a challenge with slightly bowed frames and then a sloping floor). We then had a toilet leak from the upstairs to the downstairs and had to have a subfloor replaced, replace flooring, mold remediation, drywall replacement and painting. Our last project consisted of installing a custom sliding barn door in a sloping room. All of the projects were done with professionalism and an explanation of options we had to do the items we were asking. Brent was a true problem solver and collaborator on our projects. When our toilet leaked and caused a bit of damage, even though he was fully-booked up, he got his team out to assess the situation and then worked us in on a weekend, so we could get everything repaired and functioning as soon as possible. We've found he's reasonably priced and very responsive even if he's booked up. We would recommend him and his team to anyone needing handyman services, repair work, and remodeling work.

They do awesome work, are very responsive, and friendly/helpful on walking non-handy people through diagnosing and resolving issues.

I received fantastic customer service from Brent and his team at Papasan Home Svcs. They installed wood stairs that spanned my entire back porch of approximately 20 feet. Excellent quality at a fair price, but what was most important to me was that Brent was available and accessible for questions during the build and began the work within days of the estimate (not backlogged with too many jobs). Can't say enough good things about Papasan Home Services.

I have employed Papasan Home Services on several occasions: each 'job' was professionally done in a timely manner by a personable 'handyman'. The most recent job involved hanging curtain rods/curtains over three separate banks of windows. Gio was great at helping me to problem solve in finalizing the measurements, holding up the curtains so I could visualize prior to installing brackets, and expertly installing the rods and fitting the curtains. I was also impressed that he took all of the 'trash' (empty boxes, plastic packing, etc.) with him. I have no concerns about recommending this company.
