Alec from lead filter is a lying and manipulative salesman. He messaged me “Right now by using this extra inventory, we can do the small area of Gutters that you and Blake discussed for only $492. Does that work better for you?” i asked for the gutters to be in black but the installer brought tan. I wanted the side and front done which I told the estimator Blake and he scheduled me for only the front. This company scams people and I’m still waiting on a call after taking off from work and nothing is done. Looking for recommendations for a good reliable and affordable gutter company.

Tree called and showed up ahead of schedule. He was very attentive to what I wanted and answered all my questions. Nice young man.

I had my home done by you about 2 years ago. A side from the outrageous cost, my wife wanted them, I had them done. Since I’ve had a repair guy Robert come out , he gave me his direct mobile phone number so I didn’t have to go through the office “crap”. He came out several times on different issues. Now I call him and find out he is no longer with the company. So I called the main number. This lady gave me a hard time about sending someone out but it was 99.00. I sent them an email only to have them tell me warranty doesn’t cover faulty installation, only clogs. My advice for homeowners is, do your homework before hiring them. I think the savings in not adding a piece of screen you can have them replaced several times over. Company has really bad customer service and the switchboard is horrendous. Run away. Just an update. At 9am the day after posting the review someone shows up unannounced. Called me and said he was at my front door. He was here to fix my issue. Thank you. It shouldn’t take a negative review to get a company to act. They have fixed it.

Beware — I truly regret using this company for permanent home lighting. While they may have experience with gutters, they are clearly new to the lighting industry and still dealing with serious internal growing pains.

After getting quotes from several companies, I chose them because the sales rep was friendly, promised outstanding customer service, and matched a competitor’s price. Unfortunately, that initial professionalism quickly disappeared.

They completely missed the scheduled installation date — I waited at home all day, only to call their corporate office myself and be told there had been a “mistake” and they wouldn’t be coming until the following week. Eventually, Jason (a manager) called and apologized. He offered a small price reduction, which I appreciated at the time, so I decided to move forward.

When installation day finally came, I discovered they use subcontractors, not their own employees. One installer was professional and did a great job on the front of the house. The other, who was working on the back, was clearly inexperienced — struggling with his ladder and leaving visible grease stains all over my newly painted back wall. I had invested time and money into repainting my entire house, and now I’m stuck paying out of pocket to repaint the back myself.

When I pointed out the stains, the installer seemed completely unfazed and offered no solution. They both left as soon as the job was done — no walkthrough, no cleanup, no follow-up.

I immediately reached out to Jason during the install to voice my concerns. He promised to get back to me but never did, despite multiple follow-up attempts on my part. Two weeks later, Leo — another supervisor — finally contacted me. While he wasn’t aware of the issues at first, he came out in person and made a genuine effort to fix what he could. Shout out to Leo for trying to remedy a situation he didn’t cause. That said, the damage had already been done, and the stains are still visible.

In short, while this company may be solid for gutters, they’re not ready for lighting work. Between poor communication, untrained subcontractors, broken promises, and lack of accountability, this was a frustrating and costly experience.

I strongly encourage anyone considering them to do more research and go with a company that has proven experience in permanent lighting. I wish I had.

I was having my house painted and asked the contractor if I should have Leaf Filter Gutter Protection come remove them. At this time I realized the $4,100 investment purchased 2 years ago was warped so badly they couldn’t be reused. I contacted service and was given an email to send photos for review. I was told I would receive a reply letting me know it was received. After sending two emails I still didn’t have confirmation. A couple of days later I received a voicemail mail from a manager stating he would be sending someone the next day to look at the filters. I returned the call and confirmed I would be home. Two weeks and two phone calls (to the manager) later I still have had no response. I am out a needed product and money for an extremely inferior product. Very disappointed with the product and company.

Had the Leaffilter Lights installed today and Reed was amazing! He was kind, patient, fast and friendly. He walked me thru the process, helped me setup the app and answered all of my questions! Im excited to finally have lights for the front of my house as well as lights for the holidays and year round. I can’t wait to play with all the different options.
