My experience is amazing here with Happy tree.

I was recommended by my friends Chad and Brittany. The price is very affordable and they just take over the trimming when my house is empty. When I got home, everything is done .

Evan the arborist answered all out questions and it was very kind and knowledgeable of how to treat our trees without killing them. Prices are reasonable and better than other quotes. These guys are very professional and take care of everything. Even the receptionist is so helpful and friendly.

What a great experience! Found them online (had the best reviews), contacted them online, and then showed up same day with a FAIR estimate! We have had a lot of tree services through the years and I will say that the price was 100% fair for the amount of work done! Great communication, didnt have to be home when they were working, and left everything nice and tidy :) Will be calling back when we need to, thanks!!!

Highly recommend Happy Tree Service! They did an excellent job from start to finish—efficient and incredibly fast. They took care of a tree that was leaning over our house just in time before winter weather rolled in, which was a huge relief. Pricing was very reasonable too! I’ll absolutely use them again.

Overall, we found Happy Tree a good company to go with. The only bump that we ran into was mis-communication issues on what work needed to be performed - at the end everything worked out. We appreciate Evan's tree expertise and explanations on why they were recommending various work to be done on the trees. He was very thorough in his analysis and the work performed by the crew was great.

The Only Arborist Who Thought Outside the Box—and It Made All the Difference!

I had a very large cottonwood tree (approximately 44 inches in diameter) that was located on my neighbor’s property but fell into mine, making it my responsibility to handle. The tree looked completely healthy from the outside—beautiful bark, leaves, and flowers—but once it fell, it was clear the interior was hollow and diseased.

To make matters more complicated, the tree fell across a creek between our properties, creating a very challenging situation. I had six different tree companies come out and provide bids, ranging from $2,000 to $13,500.

What truly set Happy Trees apart—and Evan, the owner and certified arborist—is that he was the only one who took the time to think outside the box. Instead of simply quoting a high price to remove everything, he suggested a much more practical and cost-effective solution: leaving the portion of the tree across the creek in place, since removing it would be extremely difficult and expensive due to the steep banks.

I checked with Austin Watershed, and they confirmed this was perfectly acceptable. That level of thoughtfulness and integrity really stood out—he wasn’t just trying to make money, he was also trying to save me money. As an added bonus, the tree now provides a natural crossing over the creek, which has actually been fun and useful for both children and adults.

In addition, since this is a rental property, I especially appreciated that Evan personally called me to point out additional damage to other trees on the property that I may want to address. None of the other five companies did that. They simply sent a price—often with little or no explanation of what they were even proposing to do. Evan’s communication, professionalism, and attention to detail made a significant difference.

The work that was completed on my property was excellent. The crew was professional, thorough, and respectful of the landscape. They properly sealed the cuts on my oak trees, and everything looks absolutely beautiful.

After meeting with three other tree companies I decided on Happy Trees because they were punctual, professional, explained clearly where I knew what to expect. They removed a tree where the roots were messing up our fence (yes we had coordinated w/neighbors-ce ter tree in pics). Out of the other tree companies, I felt most comfortable with Happy Trees and they had a fair competitive cost for their services. They did an excellent job and cleaned up well when the last company that did our tree removal a few years ago left so much debris it basically ruined our backyard. Happy Trees respected our space. The communication was also on point- texts and calls, answered professionally too. They arrived when we expected and did the work well. I will 1000% will be working with them in the future.

Matthew and his team did a GREAT JOB removing the tree, removing the stump, and grinding the stump. He was very knowledgeable about tree removal. Matthew and his crew came out to help take care of multiple tree limbs and a tree that were damaged due to the freeze and extreme heat. He and his crew were super knowledgeable and help explain what some of the issues were. He was not pushy on getting more business and his Kamin focus was saving the trees. He did great work at a great price. I highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Matthew and this company. He was able to discuss the best option of what was needed for the trees I had in question and made me feel confident in the route we chose by conveying his knowledge as an arborist to me. I had two trees in the front yard, one of which he suggested to stay and reasons as to why, the other on its last leg and further reasons it should come down. My concern was that I didn’t want a stump left which many tree removal companies leave.; he included the stump grinding as part of the package at an extremely fair price. He offered additional discounts due to already having the equipment mobilized in the area with work at my neighbors, who also spoke highly of him.

We discussed grinding the stump to 6” below the surface of the ground but he went well beyond that, deeper, which will make it easier to add top soil and grass without being raised in that area, which was my concern.

He used proper safety gear and was thorough with clean up. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing this service. 5 stars.

I hired Matthew and his team to terrace my yard with 2 retaining walls, build a stone patio, pour an RV parking strip, and trim some trees. After spending almost $70k with him, he walked off the job leaving the retaining walls unfinished, never started the RV strips, and never delivered topsoil for the yard. He literally left tons of debris in my yard which I had to pay someone else to clean up. His crew destroyed my existing brick patio which he failed to adequately repair. He made a lot of promises and delivered a lot of excuses. After less than a year, both the retaining wall and stone patio have cracks. I really regret working with him and implore anyone considering him to look elsewhere. What a disaster.
