Just another "routine" clearing for the winter with Wilder.... and just like before, the visit was one of the cleanest and most personal experiences that we've ever had with our arborist. We know that they're taking care of us as if it were their own home in need of protection from the elements...that and just the respect this team carries with the trees and our landscape in the process is truly magical.

Wilder Tree Company is great!! The estimate process and on-site work were both excellent. The estimator was very thorough and provided an accurate (and competitive) quote while still at the property, which I really appreciated. The crew that came out to do the actual trimming and tree removals (Josh and his team) did a fantastic job, especially since much of the work was happening directly over our new composite deck. They were careful, efficient, and managed to remove large limbs and prune branches without causing any damage to the deck or railings.

The only reason I’m removing one star is due to the experience with the administrative team. We had been confirmed for service on the 10th and had multiple text threads confirming that date. When the 10th arrived, I realized I hadn’t received a time of arrival, so I called, only to learn that our appointment had been moved to the following day without anyone notifying me. I mentioned that I had appointments and other outdoor services scheduled for that day, and instead of acknowledging the scheduling error or offering an apology, the person I spoke with was dismissive. I had also asked if it was an issue that I wouldn’t be home for part of that day, she laughed and said, “Well, most people don’t sit outside all day and watch the work being done.”

I didn’t appreciate the sarcastic response. I simply wanted to make sure that they were okay conducting the work if I wasn’t home. A little empathy and acknowledgment of the scheduling mix-up would’ve gone a long way. Especially since I needed to reschedule 3 other appointments last minute to work around their scheduling mix up.

Overall, Josh and his crew did excellent work and I would absolutely recommend them for the quality and professionalism of their on-site team. I just hope the communication and customer service on the administrative side can improve to match the great work done in the field.

EDIT: Updating to 5 stars after receiving a thoughtful and prompt response from the owner. Eric reached out quickly, acknowledged the issue, and shared that it will be addressed as a training opportunity with his staff — which I really appreciate. He also added a note on my file for a future service discount, which was a kind gesture.

It’s clear they take customer feedback seriously and care about improving their service, which says a lot about the company. The estimator and crew were excellent from the start, and the follow-up from leadership reinforced that this is a company that stands behind their work and values their customers.

We hired Wilder Tree Company for a second time to trim back red oaks, remove dead branches, tree stumps and dying trees from last winter's ice storm- a big job. Just an excellent crew all around. Communication was SUPERB the entire day to include adding to the job and estimate twice. Eric was able to keep track of everything and delivered on his promises. I appreciate his knowledge about trees and what measures to take to keep them healthy.

His recommendation was that we trim our trees now before another possible (and likely) winter storm to avoid further splitting and damage- especially given how the trees are extremely stressed from previous winter storms and drought conditions. Definitely have more peace of mind having this done ahead of time. The canopy is much less crowded now, allowing for new growth!

Update: The crew came out again June 2024 to trim our Monterrey Oaks in the front as well as other oaks and cedars in the back. Beautiful work- just as before. So happy!

These guys came by to prune trees in my community and they really did a great job. I had a small issue which I brought up and I was surprised by how fast they resolved it I can tell they care. If you need trees trimmed I recommend Wilder Tree Company

Wilder Tree Company has spent so much of their own time on diagnosing my trees. I’ve used several other arborists in the area (3 other companies to be exact), and they’ve all fallen a bit short. The Wilder crew has come up with a no-frills comprehensive plan that we are really satisfied with.

I highly recommend Wilder Tree Company if you're looking for expert tree removal and tree care. Everyone at Wilder is knowledgable, efficient, and highly professional. They made quick work of removing a large Chinese tallow that was close to a fence and trimming a handful of other trees that needed cleanup. I plan to use them again in the future and have already recommended them to family and friends!

Shane, Kyle, and Mike were all very communicative and very knowledgeable. All of the crews have been very friendly, kept their work space tidy and show up to the scheduled on job on time.

Called and they came out right away to provide an estimate on oak tree pruning and mulch. I agreed and an hour later the crew was onsite. Pros all around and they left my front yard in better shape than when they arrived and the oaks looking fantastic!

Good experience. They removed a tree and trimmed 2 others for 60% less than a competitor's bid. The crew was very efficient and took the time to ask me questions about what I wanted trimmed. Full disclosure, they offered a discount to place their sign in my yard for 2 weeks and write a review. I would rate them 5 stars regardless.

Eric and his crew are great to work with. Eric did the initial evaluation explaining all that needed to be done. The crew doing the removal, and some trimming, were here and gone in a little over two hours.
