Perfect experience with Green Knight. We had a full roof installed along with added sky tubes. Mark was our project manager and was excellent to work with. We felt very confident with our choices thanks to his advice and planning, and I'd say he has a genuine care for the final product. Everyone involved was responsive so the few concerns that did come up were quickly addressed. The install turned out great and survived this year's big hail storm without a dent.

I recently had Green Knight Metal Roofing install a new standing seam metal roof and gutters on my 2 story home. The experience was professional and top notch from start to finish. They worked with me on the price and were more than fair on a couple of minor last minute changes/additions. The work was completed on time (just over a week) and all of my concerns (even the nit-picky ones) were fully addressed by the team. My house looks awesome! All these guys do is metal roofing and it shows, I would highly recommend them!

Green Knight Metal Roofing was a pleasure to work with. We had an unusual project of trimming roof hips with metal, in conjunction with metal dormers. We took a lot of time and asked many questions, yet they were very patient and helpful from all aspects of the process. Highly recommended.

What a great team! We used Green Knight to install a metal roof on our 60 year old house. From the initial sales consult to the final walkthrough they were professional and communicated clearly. They were able to answer all of our questions promptly and help us chose the right roof for us. The crew doing the installation were very careful and my new roof is BEAUTIFUL! I felt like I was in good hands the whole time and would recommend them for sure. Plus, after the final walk through they provided all the documentation I needed for updating my insurance with my provider and I'm going to save $900 a year for having a Class 4 roof. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a great roof and peace of mind through the process.

I would not hesitate recommend Green Knight. I'd even leave 4.5 stars if possible. They just finished a metal roof install on my 1963 vintage house. The finished product looks fantastic, and we've had multiple rounds of thunderstorms pass through and all is good. The guys busted their rears scraping off FIVE layers of tar paper in the heat. God bless them. They got all the way down to plywood.

I'm pretty mellow, so delays due supply issues, COVID, a super wet spring didn't bother me. Why 4.5 stars instead of 5? Well, here it is (yes, rather nit picky in the grand scheme of things).

#1) The installers just showed up on a Monday without warning. There was a miscommunication in the office, so they started shingle removal without a dumpster on day 1. The dumpster showed up the next day. Other than this hiccup, communication was really, really on target.

#2) Due to alignment issues, both vent stacks to the water heater (gas) and the furnace (gas) were disconnected at the appliance - from moving them on top of the roof. I would have gladly disconnected them to make the alignment easier. Thankfully I noticed that the water heater vent was disconnected (located in garage) and then checked the furnace. Carbon Monoxide is no joke. Check your vents when install is done.

All in all, I'm very satisfied. I turned in my roof certificate to my insurance company. They're saying it's gonna save me over $500/yr!

Green Knight installed a small metal roof for me a few years ago. It's leaking. I have called twice this past week and chatted online once. All 3 times, I was promised someone would call me back. No one has bothered to call me. Unbelievable! Beware!

I had a great experience with Green Knight. We had hail damage and were needing to get a new roof installed. I got quotes from a few different roofers and was really happy with the quote from Green Knight - even though it was a few dollars more.

What I liked about Green Knight was that they were fully insured, they ONLY install metal roofs, and that they offered a warranty that I thought they could stand behind (as they have been in business for a couple of decades!). I was also happy with being able to lock in the price of the metal roof with my first deposit.

My only initial hesitation was how they installed their roofing directly on the decking vs on furring strips. I actually called the metal roofing material manufacturer, and spoke with an engineer who let me know that this was a valid installation method.

Overall - the installation process was super easy. It took a total of 6 days of work, and looks amazing. I would happily recommend Green Knight to others looking for a metal roof.

May '24 Update: I've decided to give the folks over at Green Knight a well deserved 5th star because they've continued to be an incredible partner with the best customer service. I've been in touch with them a few times since our roof was installed in October '23. The fast response times as well as willingness to work with us to "tweak" some aspects of our oddly shaped roof to get it as close to perfection as possible has been nothing short of amazing. Some companies out there would put you at the bottom of their list once the job was done, but not Green Knight. They continue to impress us! And now that spring storm season is underway in Austin, we're loving the piece of mind that our roof is strong and backed by a company who truly cares about their customers. If you're looking to install a metal roof, look no further. This is your team!

Overall we are extremely satisfied with how our roof turned out and have received countless compliments from neighbors and visitors about the final product, and ultimately have recommended Green Knight as a result.

I thought the sales process went very smoothly and appreciated the consultative approach. If you're currently gathering bids, I'd urge you to partner with a company who only installs metal roof products like Green Knight. After watching the install process, it became very apparent that it's much more skill and labor intensive than laying down shingles. Our entire project took over three weeks because it's truly a custom job (and after months of no rain, we finally got a lot of rain).

In general the crew kept the job site clean, though we're still finding metal shards and screws in our shrubs (which I hear is not uncommon). They did make the effort to clean up every day after work, however. I think this is just part of getting a new roof!

The last thing I'll say is that with any home improvement project mistakes will happen, so it's imperative that you find a partner that knows what they're doing and will make the situation right IF something goes wrong. Once all was said and done, I can confidently say that Green Knight is one of those companies.

If you're not satisfied with the way something is turning out or was installed, they won't abandon you once the project is complete. They're a business that stands by their product, and we're appreciative for the quality of the workmanship as well as their willingness to make things right!

Our experience with Green Knight was a smooth one from start to finish. They had someone come out to give us a quote the day after I called, and our new roof was installed less than a month later. No pushy sells, just helpful and honest. I recommend them if you're in the market for a metal roof.

We had a major hail storm that severely damaged our roof, putting 4 softball size holes in the decking. (Our roof was originally asphalt shingles). The next day, our neighborhood was crawling with roofing companies, but not Green Knight. I knew I wanted a metal roof and a reputable company that specialized in metal roofing. I found Green Knight on the internet, checked out their website, Google reviews and the BBB. Everyone seemed to rave about them so I gave them a call. Pam answered, listened to my story about how I came to have holes in my roof and said she thought she could get somebody out that day. She asked if she could call me right back once she confirmed. Less than five minutes later she called back to say someone would be out within 2 hours.
As promised, Michael came out, told us about Green Knight and their products, offered marketing materials and color samples to choose from and promised a quote later that day.
The next day, we signed the contract and they sent a crew out to patch the roof as more weather was expected that night.
They told us the lead time was 6-8 weeks. At week 6 we received a call that they were ready to install the roof and wanted to send a supervisor over to go over everything before starting. I wasn’t sure what this for but as it turned out, it gave me a lot of confidence in Green Knight. The supervisor came out with a checklist, went over everything the crew would be doing, where materials would be staged, where the dumpster would go, what to expect from a noise level, etc. Just setting the expectations.
The job took a full week to complete and everyday the crew arrived on time, cleaned up the job site and went over the area with a large magnet to pickup any loose nails or screws. The roof looks great and we are very happy with the experience we had with Green Knight. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a metal roof.

Brad came to the house for the final pre-job walk-through and conversation. He explained the construction process, where the dumpster would go, where they would set up the extruding equipment, and when they expected to start.

Working with Green Knight was great! We called 5 different companies to get a quote. One highly advertised metal roof company wanted to charge us a 150.00 trip charge to come meet us and give us a presentation quote or they could satellite measure our roof and get back with us. I told them NO THANK YOU. One company was a scheduled appointment NO SHOW !! We dismissed 2 companies because they were more shingle specialist type companies that offered some metal roof experience. We called Green Knight to schedule an appointment and Green Knight made us feel like an important priority.

Green Knight installed a new metal roof, gutters and chimney cover/cap at our home in Driftwood (completed in October 24). We could not have had a better experience. They showed up on time, were highly professional, cleaned up well every day, and listened to any minor concerns we had and addressed them during the job. The roofing product installed is a new slate-look metal sheet system, so they brought in one of their product specialists from out of town so he could supervise the installation. We were very impressed by the whole process and have gotten numerous compliments on the results. We highly recommend Green Knight!

Green Knight Roofing (and Michael) did a very nice and professional job for me when they reroofed my entire house. I am preparing for solar panels, and got rid of 6 skylights (the solar panels will cover up the sun from reaching those anyway), which left 6 holes in my roof. As long as I was putting on a whole new roof as part of repairing those 6 holes, Green Knight added 4 inches of insulation (this raising the roof 4 inches).

They also installed all new gutters, the end result looks really nice.

As part of this, Green Knight did some custom new changed routing of my gutters. One of the old gutters had a really ugly downspout right in the center of my back patio, so Green Knight figured out how to route it away in a different direction to get rid of the down spout blocking the view.

Opportunistically, I needed to run ethernet cables from end to end of my house and trenching through drywall would have been absolutely brutal. So I had Green Knight "pause work" after they ripped off the old roof and let me string a bunch of network cables on the underlayment of the roof, then Green Knight put down the extra 4 inches of insulation, then Green Knight put the metal roof on top. It worked beautifully well and was "free" and took about 20 minutes for me to string networking all over my house.

I'd use Green Knight again.

We started a very lengthy roof estimate process for a metal roof on our home. These guys are the real deal, they are uniquely equipped in the metal roofing biz because it's all they do. Brett came out and answered every question we had, stayed longer to show us project photos and color samples, very nice person and very knowledgeable. They do something different than most companies, they will provide their estimate on the spot which will save you time and allow you to customize your quote in real-time. If you are rabbit-holing on metal roofing, talk to these guys, they can be as technical as you'd like them to be. They are using the best materials and you wont be disappointed.
