After reading several reviews on several different companies, Centex Heating and Air seemed to have the best reputation. I called them yesterday and made and appointment for them to show up today (August 7, 2025). Travis and another tech were on time, diagnosed the problems and had them all fixed within about an hour. There were not any parts needed. The service call was $99.00 plus tax. The problems were resolved.

They were professional, explained what they were doing, explained the problems in detail, and made suggestions for future maintenance, but did not try and push any service on me that was not needed which was much appreciated. I signed up for their annual mantenance and Centex will now be my first call when it comes to HVAC issues.

Centex always comes through in a pinch, even for routine check ups. Each technician has been professional, friendly, an excellent communicator and listener. They have been our go to for over 7 years and will continue to be our first choice for all HVAC issues.

We’ve been Bastrop residents since 2021. Until now we’ve been loyal customers of another reputable family owned company that handles both plumbing & HVAC, but invariably they tried to upsell us for more than the problem or service we called them for. So when our Carrier A/C recently went on the fritz we contacted Centex Air & Heat instead. Centex sent an experienced, knowledgeable HVAC specialist (Daryl) out right away. After inspecting the system he throughly explained our repair options without over-selling upgrades. Both he and their helpful customer service mgr (Stephanie) answered my questions and she got our job scheduled quickly. On the day of the repair, technicians (Sawyer & Travis) arrived on time with everything needed to get ‘er done. They were efficient, careful & conscientious about our house and pets. Hopefully we’re all set now but it is reassuring to know who to call for HVAC issues if necessary. If there’s a “silver lining” in this unexpected home repair story, it’s that we’ve discovered Centex and we’re happy to recommend them.
