My heater would come on by itself and would not shut off. Bob, with A Affordable Pool Service, came out to diagnose heater. Bob was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very quick in doing repairs. He showed up at the agreed appointment time and got right to work. He also explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, and what the desired outcome should be when finished. He was amazingly quick and when finished, we started the pool and heater and it preformed perfectly. I am more than satisfied with this company’s service and pricing. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a great pool service company.

I had a pretty bad experience with this company. They don’t clean my filters and my robot malfunctions every time they “clean” my pool. I had to do just as much work if not more bc these guys are so lazy they come in and out in 5 mins. I’m posting this review so that no one else has to suffer like I did.

They performed a backwash, my pool was clogged for weeks. They did a filter clean, and filter still not clean as you can see from the photos. Yet they will make all kinds of excuses all the time as to why the robot is not working or why they are not testing water supposedly winter doesn’t change your water. Lol okay.

We tested the water ourselves, and everything was off balance. Better to just do it ourselves.

They never showed up after making the appointment in the store. After calling them they said that they got busy. They never called to keep me updated. Not going to use anymore after being a customer for 5 years. They did not seem to really care that they have lost a customer. UPDATE: Owner called me to inform me that they had been out and provide GPS tracking to show that they had been out. Looking at the bottom of the pool it would be impossible to tell because it was not cleaned. Photos don't lie. Details will be posted on Nextdoor for the folks in the neighborhood.

Jeff with A Affordable Pool & Spa was a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly responsive, always quick to answer questions and provide updates. Submitted online for a repair, they contacted me next business day, listened to my concerns and had a repair tech out within no time at all. Tech diagnosed the problem, talked with me to be sure I knew what was going on, and ordered a part needed. He even put a temporary valve on the equipment so we had full function of the pool and spa until the motorized part arrived the next day.
Price was transparent, everyone was easy to work with, and billing was a snap. Great company and if I need to have additional repairs, I'll be sure to contact A Affordable first.

I went in to get my water tested for free. Jośe was very helpful at the counter. I definitely will be returning to the store. They also repaired my Polaris cleaner and it runs like brand new.

Recently had issues with my Pentair pool pump. Tripped circuit breaker and quit altogether. Pump is 15 years old so I expected the worst. Jeff at Aaffordable pool supply gave me some pointers on diagnostic steps to take that paid off. Turns out it was a loose connection which burned a wire in the wall mounted timer. Simple fix and I am back in business. Thanks for all your help!

I needed a somewhat hard to find pool cleaner to replace an old one. Jeff Williams was able to find exactly what I needed, and his highly skilled technician delivered and installed it the same week. I am so impressed with their integrity and skills. Their tech knew exactly how to cut the hose sections so that they fit my pool, as well as installed new fittings in the pool side wall. The unit works perfectly, and I actually saved a few $$ and lots of stress. I wanted to share these so others can benefit from this team!

Whenever I have "Pool Problems" I have been calling on A Affordable for over 20 years they never let me down and always gave me a reasonable price. I would recommend them for all your pool issues you can count on these guys every time.

Excellent and timely service. In-store and home service by employees is great. On-site tech Bob is prompt and notified me before arrival. New sale cell generator and and backflow valve installed and working great!

Avoid this company. I was told very conflicting details when it came to billing. Was told it was $95 for the service call and first hour of labor and each additional 1/2 hour was $55 dollars. I was charged $95 plus $165 for less than 1.5 hours work. The reason given was the that since work/labor was performed, the $165 was based on the services/repairs provided. This is a total bait and switch tactic. AVOID!!

I was never quoted a total, ever. That is a complete lie. And your prices were hidden in the $95 service call for the first hour.

I highly recommend A-Affordable Pool & Spa as the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to repair my pool heater after my pool company told me it needed to replaced. A-Affordable has experienced technicians that can fix problems that others can’t.

Experience with Suntex for the last few yeasrs have been great. Customer Service, especially with Casey, is excellent as well as Bryan, who cleans our pool. Do appreciate everything they do.
Oh. Not to forget about Preston who services our pool.

Do wish the monthly price could be lower. Would like to see if the pool owner could supply the chlorine, which may help to bring the monthly charge down. Understanding the grades of chlorine, if Suntex provides a list of suppliers, that may ease the issue of the different grades. Yes, I agree, proof of purchase should be required.

I chose A Affordable Pools to completely remodel my pool and spa back in 2018.
They were the first ones I called DURING the famous ice storm in 2021 after my pool equipment froze and needed to be replaced. Typical issues as part of upkeep in any pool occurred since like a spa leak, new coping around pool that cracked during ice storm, and old wiring to the main box were all handled by A Affordable Pools in a professional and timely manner. I give them the highest rating in a time where it is tough to find people who want to work! These folks DO want your business and they earn it time and again!!

I called 14 pool companies around north DFW at 5pm one night because I needed a pool inspection ASAP in order to close on my new house. Jeff with A Affordable was one of TWO who answered my call, and he beat the price of the other company by half!

Jeff got me scheduled the very next day and true to his word went out to inspect. However, the pool wasn’t in working condition (sellers fault)…and from that point forward this whole situation became an absolute mess. I must have contacted Jeff a million times over the next 4 days as I went back and forth with the sellers of the house, trying to get the pool handled so we could close. Jeff was gracious, accommodating , patient, and supportive anytime I needed a new inspection (he had to go out three separate times!) or had questions about the pool.

We FINALLY got the pool fixed, inspected (by Jeff), and we closed on our house! A Affordable earned my business for life. As soon as we move in I’m having them come out to make sure it’s swim-ready for summer. Thank you thank you thank you, you will never know how much I appreciate you!

I called them and about 10 others in June. Not only did they answer the phone....which is rare but Jose was super friendly. They were able to repair my pool equipment in a few days. Everyone else I called it would take 3-5 days to get a call back or event get someone out just to look at my equipment. Secondly, during the repair service Jeff was very communicative. I also had them come out to look at stonework repairs, and repairing hail damage on the deck. I learned so much from John the owner who came out to look at the repairs. As a result, I will be switching over my monthly service to them as well. Very communicative, quality and timely repairs.... Just great people!!!

I had a cracked pipe below the surface that caused the pool to lose almost 2 inches of water daily. The tech immediately was able to find the crack through pressure testing and repaired in one day! Affordable pools is great to work with, I would definitely use them again!

I am very pleased with their work. They set the appointment, showed up on time, identified the source of a leak, and repaired it all on the same trip. The repair worked and the cost was reasonable.
