Appliance Repair reviews in Dallas, Texas

Technician was on time, efficient, and went above and beyond. After the initial evaluation, they requested a down payment that was slightly more than the initial fee and less than 50% of the final cost. They let us know as soon as the part arrived and were able to come out the next day to complete the work. We were very pleased with our dishwasher repair!

I appreciate the service I received. The repairman came out on time and did a great job on my washer machine so when my dry went out I called them and they came and fixed my dryer in not time and told me what my problem was and my dryer worked like a champ. I will use them again.

I was very happy with the service technicians who came to my house. They were able to get the new wiring installed to get the screen working on my freezer, however, the ice machine still doesn’t work and I’ve been trying to get somebody to respond to me since to no avail.

They came out and determined that my Bosch 500 dishwasher needed a new wiring harness.
They returned several days later and installed the new wiring harness, which took them over 3 hours.
They couldn't get the dishwasher working and were unable to get it to work. They then left.
It has now been 7 days and I've not heard from them (no phone calls or emails or texts).
Meanwhile, I had another repair person come out. They determined that the control board had been "fried" by the other (HPS) technicians. This essentially was why I've not heard from them since.
They knew that they had damaged the control board and didn't want to take the blame and subsequent repair.
As the control board is quite expensive, we decided to purchase a new dishwasher.
I DO NOT recommend this company. Please try another company!
UPDATE:
There was never a mention of a damaged control board.
At the initial visit, I was told that I needed a new wiring harness, as they couldn't splice the old one.
They returned several days later (3 technicians) with a new harness and after spending over 3 hours (this should have taken no more than 1 hour), they couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
The remaining technician (after the other 2 gave up) tried and tried but to no avail.
He had no idea what was wrong and never mentioned the control board.
After waiting several more days with no contact from HPS, I arranged for another company to come out.
Within 30 minutes, they told me the control board was bad and that it most likely was damaged when the new harness was installed....which would explain why the HPS technician said nothing (he knew they had damaged it) and didn't return.
I did purchase a new dishwasher and would appreciate it if you would refund
my $85.00i paid for the initial service call. -
The tech came out and stated he needed to order supplies. But he would be back the next day. His company kept texting different days and appointment times. Finally, three days later, he showed up and said he needed another part. Three days later, an appointment had been set and no one came. I had to call and ask what was going on. The communication with this company is horrible and their techs seem very inexperienced. Please don't waste your time. Go with another company.

Great tech did a good job on our range hood. We would recommend them for other jobs.

Do not use the online appointment scheduler. I used it based on reviewer complaints about receptionist. I sat home waiting for two hours, only to call and find that they had no record of my appointment. They are sending someone today, but I would recommend calling, not making appointment through web site. UPDATE: Repair was made promptly. Communication from repair person was clear and courteous. Company apologized for inconvenience.

David came during the time window that had been previously discussed the day before. Super friendly, seemed quite knowledgeable. Unfortunately for us (HPS charges an $85 diagnostic fee that can be later waived if you choose to use repair services with them), it was actually a very easy fix with our breaker box. But David did his due diligence and checked out the entire appliance to make sure it was properly working before he left. Would definitely call them again if services are needed!

John was quick to diagnose the transmission was broken on my washing machine and it may not be worth repairing my 9 year old washer since it would cost $485. They don’t sell appliances so it is easy to believe his honest diagnosis ($85 fee for diagnosis but it would’ve counted towards parts and labor had I chosen to repair it.) I would use them again for sure!

David was great and fast. Diagnosed and repaired same visit within 15 minutes.

I needed service on two appliances at one of my rental properties, and David exceeded expectations. He was punctual, organized, and kept me informed every step of the way. Truly one of the best professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with—something that’s rare to find these days.
It’s such a relief to work with someone who clearly knows what they’re doing. Outstanding customer service and top-notch workmanship. Highly recommend. Thank you! -
We appreciated the effort spent by our tech to repair our Bosch microwave door. Ultimately, a new door needed to be ordered, but our tech took the time to diagnose the problem, trying to save us money. Thank you, HPS Appliance.

Well it wasn't a repair but Garcia quickly found the leak issue.. which was the drain hose not being completely inside the drain hole!🙈🤷♀️🤣 well worth the $85 to have this issue resolved! Thank You

The technician came two hours late. He disrupted cooking dinner. I asked him to change the fuse in the microwave. I believe it had blown. He said he needed to get to the root of the cause. Just short of one hour later, the job was finished. He couldn’t find any thing wrong with the microwave except the fuse that I had originally asked him to change. I was shocked when he asked for $200 for less than an hour work and a fuse. $200 to change a fuse is insane. I was originally promised that I would get an estimate for a the repairs needed.. The service call would be $85 and I could decide whether I wanted to do the repairs. I Never received an estimate. I asked for an itemized bill, indicating labor charges, and the part price. He was unable to provide that for me and had to call his boss. Neither one of them seem to think I needed an itemized bill, however.I was told I would get it tomorrow in by email. . I’ve never had a service man come to my house and not give me an itemized bill of what his charges were. I was particularly upset because I initially asked him to just change the fuse and he refused. The service technician was a very nice man and spoke broken English. I think something was lost in the translation.
Supper is going to posting this very negative review , a manager called me and agreed to refund the excessive charge for the fuse that failed. In retrospect, I realized that I never should’ve had the fuse changed. The initial technician told me that he could not find the source of the blown fuse. At that time I should have cut my losses. I did get a refund but agreed to pay the initial service call charge. I wound up having to buy a new microwave. -
Got me on the schedule and came out in less than 24hrs. They sent a text when on their way. The time window they gave me was 11am-1pm and he showed up at 1050am. Was polite, knowledgeable and fixed our dryer quickly and he cleaned up after himself. The price was very reasonable. Very happy with the service we received and would highly recommend!

I had a clogged up water filler to my LG in-door ice maker. David cleaned it up showing me the problem at every step. We also discovered some small drips after each ice making cycle but it really didn’t warrant the expense of replacing the ice maker. There was no pressure to replace it from HPS, they simply returned the part to LG and I just paid the diagnostic visit. I will definitely use HPS again for any appliance repair needs.

Fast and exceptional service. David, the technician, fixed my problem with my dryer in minutes. Then he showed me what to do if it happens again. Any other technician might have taken advantage of me and charged more for unnecessary work. I highly recommend this company and will use them again for my future needs.

If I could - I would give NEGATIVE Stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
We had them come out to repair our Samsung front load washing machine. After diagnosing the problem, the technician gave us a 10-day timeframe to get the parts and return for the installation. We noticed after he left that the machine would no longer power on and figured he had disabled it.
After doing our laundry at a laundromat for 3 weeks, I finally called and asked when we could expect our repair to happen. The woman on the phone looked for a bit and then told me she would call me back in 20 minutes. 7 HOURS later I called back - again, she would call me back in 20 minutes. Another HOUR later I called her again and she asked ME what parts had been ordered. Of course I didn't know and she offered to have the guy come back. NO THANKS!!
I finally had Austonian Services come out - they are absolutely great. Got the parts in a week and came out to make the repair. However, when he went to power the machine up he found that the initial service guy from HPS ripped out one of the wiring harnesses and completely destroyed it. Cost me an additional $400.
