Rick is literally the best mechanic in the buisness. We've gone to longhorn and countless other shops in EL Paso and he is by far the best. He not only knows how to work on them but actually cares about the quality of work he puts out. We own a commercail wash company and wouldnt recommend anyone other than Rick.

Can't say enough great things about this business, they custom made a trailer to exactly what I needed and knocked it out of the park! Rick the owner is great, but always wants to eat lunch haha, JK but seriously, they start as a business and end up friends.

Good experience. The reason they charge initial charge is time of creating plans. There does have a cost of time. You also get to see the design of what you are getting.

Not helpful, was looking for an estimate for some work and off the bat they wanted to charge like about$1250 for design/plans. Told them I had my own plans and design and they wanted to meet to discuss with an unseen design fee!

Very odd experience, much higher than prevailing rate. I was told we couldn't get an estimate without first paying $1500 for design services, and that their average projects were in the "upper teens while others are 6 figures" which seems a bit much for this area. I just hired a landscape architect for much less than their design consultation fee. It seems unprofessional and pretentious to presume to exclude competition while charging egregious rates for otherwise regular services provided by many other firms in the area.

Go Designs built the backyard of my dreams. And was attentive during the whole process, answering my every call and making any changes requested.

Go designs shows you what they can build but they don't even have the man power to build whatever your project is. They extremely overcharge you for plans they can't even build. We waited 10 months just for plans. They never quoted us a price on our project at the end. It's a money grab for a service they can't fulfill.

Go Designs is the premier design and build firm in the El Paso area. They use the best products and material, hire the best staff, and follow the best practices. Their team includes designers, architects, landscape designers, master electricians, and master plumbers. They focus on space, functionality, flow, scale, safety, and beauty. Their staff is punctual, I never once had to call and ask where their workers were. They were there every day, on time, with a main team leader there daily. If I called, they answered. If I texted, they wrote back. We were in constant communication. Anything that need changing, they were flexible and positive. They listened and were great partners with us in the design and building.

Reviewing some of the other comments about the design fee, that’s what they do, it’s in the name. I’ve worked with builders who said, “tell me what you want, and I’ll build it.” This maybe fine for some, but does this consider the scale of the space? the longevity of materials? the flow from one space to another? the drainage? the viability of the plant life? the safety of the design? code compliance of design? These are not issues to take lightly. If you want someone who does it right and does it best, go with Go Designs.

Last year I decided to completely redo my backyard. I contacted George with GoDesign and he came up with a plan that would turn my backyard into a more functional outdoor living space. My yard was nothing but dead grass, a not very useful kitchen island , and a lot of concrete. They redid the kitchen area and built a large beautiful pergola that gives plenty of shade. With new grass, landscaping, a putting green and a space for a swim spa, George and his team succeeded in turning my not so practical yard into a beautiful outdoor living space. Most contractors give you a scribble "etch-a-sketch" design, show you some beautiful photos, and promise you the world, that they are #1 in yards and pools, etc. etc. Only to find out the photos they showed you were from the internet, the design was not to scale, the high quality products they promised were not installed, and then you hear from someone else, oh dang, that guy screwed me too.. UGGGH. So frustrating you dont know who to trust anymore.
I wanted to update the backyard. Add an outdoor kitchen and a solid Redwood framed Gazebo that wouldn't collapse or sag in an El Paso windstorm like my neighbor behind me who's lasted less than two years. Ugggh.

I found George @ Go Designs through a friend who lives across town. He constantly said, you got to hire these guys. Don't waste your time looking around. The other contractors will screw you, just call George. So I did, I was surprised at first, small wait time because they were booked, then a design fee, but, well worth it to get a full CAD design and drawings showing every angle of the yard in full detail so I could actually see what it would look like. This is a Professional Company, no one in El Paso does this type of quality product installation. So glad I called George. Love the perfect back yard.
