Don is fantastic to work with and is always fair. We’ve had him out to our businesses multiple times to fix issues. He is always prompt quick to diagnose/fix the issue. He’s earned our business for life.

Do yourself a favor, call a different plumber!
Call Live Oak Plumbing mid April 2024 as water was dripping from the living room ceiling from the bathroom above it. Mr Don Deschenes said it was the toilet leaking and reset my toilet. About two weeks later it was dripping from the ceiling again. Turns out it wasn’t the toilet leaking, but the shower. My tenant told him whenever he is taking a shower and was stepping into it the tub it would separate from the wall and that’s where it was leaking through. Mr. Deschenes explained to me it was the best fix to remove and replace the tub and surround, which cost almost $5,000 and it would come with a 2 year warranty. I trusted his expertise and had him install the new tub and surround.
Shortly after I had a different handyman come to repair the drywall and he told me the plumber had fastened the shower on top of the drywall, not underneath. What an amateurish mistake for a “master plumber” I thought… I called Mr. Deschenes to fix his mistake, which he did.
6 months later, November 2024, water came through the ceiling at the same spot. Mr. Deschenes came to investigate and he said he tested everything, but the leak wasn’t coming from my bathroom. I paid his $99 service fee. It leaked twice more after that at the same spot and I had the HOA handyman come out to investigate, which set me back another $185, but at least the leak was found. It turned out the leak was clearly coming from my shower. After I had to prove to Mr. Deschenes that it was really leaking from my unit by sending him a video (!) of the leak he said he would come out. When he came he said he fixed the leak and that it happened whenever a person taking a shower and was stepping into it the tub it would separate from the wall and that’s where it was leaking through. Which could be due to the floorboards moving, which he noticed when he was installing the shower in May. I ask him why he didn’t mention this to me at the installation and he told me “he is just a plumber”. So now I paid almost $5,000 to have the same leak that I had 6 months ago!?! Mr. Deschenes also refused to refund me the $99 service fee from November, still insisting the leak at that time was not from my unit. Not even to mention the $185 I had to pay the HOA maintenance man to find the leak that he couldn’t find and the drywall repair, which will again cost between $300 and $500. To top it off Mr. Deschenes said it was also very inconvenient for him to always have to come out and investigate/fix the leaks. Well, it’s not my fault it’s leaking, isn’t it, Mr. Deschenes!?! That’s why I hired a “master plumber”. What a joke!
I would not recommend this company to anyone! Terrible, amateurish quality of work and just out for money! I would give zero stars, if possible. As I said, do yourself a big favor and call a different plumber!

Thank you for your response Mr. Deschenes. I am glad it shows the reader that it confirms what I stated in my review. You’re finding excuses and blaming anyone else but yourself, like the non-existing “your handyman” and me not looking over your shoulder every minute during installation, for the same leak I had before and gave you almost $5,000 to fix.
Despite all the “photos, videos, and documented conversations” you proudly list, you were not able to communicate these structural issue you discovered during installation at that point, (when it was most important!), but now, seven months later, as issues present themselves, you suddenly can fill me in on these issues through a simple phone conversation… What nonsense!
Again, dear reader, be aware! As you can easily see here for yourself, do yourself a favor and call a different plumber!

They are absolutely the best! They were able to come right away, very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. They even contacted the gas company and stayed to talk with them after the repair. Couldn't ask for better service and extremely fair price. Will be calling them for all future plumbing needs.

Our house has had low pressure since we moved in a year ago. Finally made a call to do something about it. Don came out quickly and was able to diagnose it was a corroded pressure reducing valve. Scheduled an appointment to replace the following week where he and his partner were on time and resolved the low water pressure in a timely manner.

Great experience with Live Oak Plumbing. We have had them come out for two different issues and both times, they were punctual, professional, quick to solve the issue and very friendly. Highly recommend!! Christopher helped us this time and was great!!

Live Oak was excellent. Prompt and alerted me on a text of when arriving, with a pic of the tech as well. Don did a great job and even went above to fix something else for me. I highly recommend them.

Love this company!! Very efficient! I called after hours and I felt like I was the first call they made the next morning. We scheduled the appointment and they even came out an hour earlier than expected. They diagnose the problem and had it fixed within an hour and for a very reasonable price. I am excited to find this company and will refer them to all my friends and neighbors. We have been looking for a good plumber for a while and so happy we found one!

Don was great. Timely, professional, and helpful. He took very good care of us, fixed our issue, and even checked the rest of our plumbing for other issues. Great experience and will be using them again in the future if needed.

Had a pair of sinks in the guest bathroom mysteriously backing up with water and not draining, so I called Live Oak and Don quickly diagnosed the likely issue on the phone, and was able to squeeze me in same day to come out and perform the fix for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

We had a leaking bathtub that we weren't able to diagnose and held off for a while. Don came out and went over my concerns to provide potential options as to what the issue may be. He quickly found the issue and provided detailed diagnosis. He provided us quotes that we were satisfied with and cleaned up the working area before he left. Thanks Don!

I had a good experience with Live Oak Plumbing. I didn't have an an emergency, but they were able to book me quickly. They were courteous and gave me different options for my problem. I recommend them and I'd definitely call them for future issues.

I was referred to Live Oak by a crew I had at my house doing some other unrelated work. I needed a second opinion I had gotten earlier in the year to get some plumbing issues fixed. I’m very happy I found them. I had shown them the videos and what not the other company given me to show what was wrong… they were saying I needed to dig trenches and repipe parts of the house. Live oak came out and confirmed what the issues was… totally different. These guys saved me from spending THOUSANDS. Nathan was who came out and he was a super professional guy. Very helpful and he went through the trouble to explain things to me. I’ll be reaching back out to them for any future plumbing needs!

Don was able to squeeze me in to fix an overflow issue in upstairs sink…unfortunately leaking into my office downstairs. They arrived quickly and gave me an accurate and fair estimate. After some more efficient replumbing they were off. The work done was high quality, very neat and clean and reasonable. I would highly recommend Don and his crew.

I just had a plumber come and repair our toilet, which had a very minor leak that caused one of the securing bolts to rust and break. I also had a few other issues that I thought I could get them fixed all at once. When I called Live Oak Plumbing Company, Don the owner happened to answer.

The first thing he asked if it was an emergency and I said no. He then looked at his schedule and thought he could have somebody out here by either next Wednesday or Thursday and I thought well I didn’t wanna wait that long. So he decided that he would actually come himself. I was very thankful that he did.

I found his pricing fair and reasonable as well as in our discussions he was very helpful and honest.

I was very satisfied. I definitely plan to use Live Oak plumbing for any future needs.

We just had a new water heater installed to replace one that died after fifteen years. I called a guy I could trust to recommend a “great” plumbing company. Without hesitation he said “You have got to use Live Oak Plumbing and be sure to ask for Nathan”. I did just that and that’s why I’m writing this review. He was very professional, friendly and did excellent work. Cost was very competitive and he didn’t mind explaining what he was doing. He was one of the best service professionals we have had do work at our home. Another great service professional that we’ve used is the guy that recommended him. Great people know great people.
