Chris was very professional and polite. He reached out to me when he found that he could get to me earlier than scheduled to ask if I preferred an earlier time.. which worked out great.

Technician Deangelo went beyond the extra mile to resolve our frustrating repair delays. During the month and a half of waiting on parts that were out of stock, our fridge had started working again. Deangelo was thorough in assessing it for any problems and when he found none, he processed a full refund for the expensive parts. We are supremely pleased by his assurance that our fridge is running optimally. His kind demeanor and outstanding people skills saved the day! Thank you, Deangelo!!!

Edit: I have been calling that number for a whole year and they always give me the same answer- that they are going to send a message to a manager to get in contact with me but they never do. I keep calling and calling but it’s always the same, pure deception and lies.

Last year I had a repair on my refrigerator and the parts that the technician ordered didn’t end end up being used so I returned them (I have the return receipt). I submitted a claim for reimbursement on the parts and as of today I have not been reimbursed. My refrigerator stopped working again in May so I called them to fix it. I was charged but the part needed was on back order so my fridge was never fixed. I’m also waiting to be reimbursed for that. Extremely bad service - non reputable company. I will never buy from them again.

I've had three Sears techs for ten days, including Christmas, to repair my 7-yr old GE side-by-side. The first tech failed to make a proper diagnosis, the second ordered a part that the first tech should have diagnosed and ordered. The third tech, who came today, the 27th, had the proper part and quickly made the repair.

Because of poor initial diagnosis, I have been without proper use of my refrigerator-freezer since Monday the 16th. So, I give the 1st tech 1 star, the second 2 stars for proper follow-up diagnosis, and the third tech 5 stars for bringing the proper part and efficiently making the repair.

Marcus was a joy. He survived or machines issues quickly and had operation tips for us as well. Thanks Sir!

Couldn’t find parking, was the excuse , nobody wants to work. I even went as far to call our maintenance area to allow them to park their van which I might add at least five service vans parked on that block daily (it’s downtown). But nonetheless, our maintenance team and provided parking in our basement, but still was told they couldn’t do it.

    Gary is the BEST
Service call is overpriced, but worth it to have Gary service my riding mower

We called Sears Appliance Repair about a leak code coming up on our dishwasher. The tech came out and, since it wasn't an obvious leak with water all over the floor, spent some time trying to find out why it kept coming up. He identified what it might be, but couldn't reproduce the fault. He collected the $140 diagnostic fee, left and told us that if it showed up again, just call Sears and they would send someone out at no charge. It showed up again, we called, they set up another service call. It was set up as a first time call (costing another $140). When I told the tech that it was supposed to be a call back, he cancelled the service call. I called Sears again. Again they set up another service call and assured me multiple times that it would be a call-back, not a first time call. The tech showed up and said he needed to collect the $140 diagnostic fee. He eventually found the notes from the first tech, looked at the dishwasher, found evidence of a prior leak, could not get it to leak while he was here. Left, and said if we got the leak code to call back and they would send someone out on a call-back. We got the leak code again about half way through the 3 hour wash cycle. Called Sears AGAIN, they said they would set it up as a call-back AGAIN, this time I was able to talk to a manager. Manager assured me it would be set up as a call-back, no $140 diagnostic fee charge. The tech has been messaging me today telling me that I'll need to pay the $140 diagnostic fee AGAIN. All of this would be much easier, I believe, if I could consistently talk to a person instead of being locked into their automated system that doesn't have options to address my situation.

Update: Though I had to call my warranty provider for them to schedule the maintenance appointment, it was completed rather quickly. I believe they sent the same service man from last time. It was a little suspicious that he sat outside in his van for a long time. I went outside to sit on my porch so there would be no excuse for completing the call. He did a good job cleaning and showed me before/after pictures. Hopefully it was from my unit-I did hear him turn on the vacuum while he was behind the fridge. He was very polite and professional. Updating to 3 stars.

This serviceman called me at 9am to tell me that he would be at my place between 2-4pm. (My window was 12-5). He said he would text me when he was on the way. I was so pleased! At 12:47 I got a text message to rate my service. Thinking it was a mistake, I sat at home waiting for serviceman to come. By 4:45pm I click on the link for my appointment to get to the website. There is no number so I have to “chat” with a bot just to find out my order has been “completed “. (Which is NOT true and I have him on my Ring camera coming to the door and leaving immediately. He should have marked it as needing to be rescheduled,) I have to do more detective work to find a Facebook page to get a phone number to talk to Sears Customer Service. That lady gives me the WRONG company and phone numbers for my “warranty” and connects me to the wrong company. This has been a SCAM!! They are trying to collect on my warranty for a service they dis not provide and were very sneaky about it!!

Edit: I have reached out to the Sears Appliance Facebook folks and they have now twice requested follow-up from the Sears billing department, and I have yet to hear anything.

Overall, the absolute worst appliance repair experience of my life. Sears has more or less stolen $291 from me and held it hostage by dragging their heels on my refund since I returned the parts I paid for in January. I still have not received my refund now at the end of March. The window of time for the refund being processed has steadily grown and the start date has reset, from 5-7 business days to 7-10 to 10-14 to now 14-21 business days. No refund as of today, March 29.

I scheduled a repair for my washer in January. Tech came out, ordered some replacement parts that I prepaid $390 for, scheduled a follow-up with a second tech to install the parts once they came in. Second tech did his own diagnosis and said that some additional parts would likely be necessary, taking the repair well beyond the cost of a new washer. I declined, accepted the $99 diagnostic/trip fee for declining a repair, and handed the parts back to the tech.

Fast forward two and a half months, Sears has yet to issue me my refund and claims that I've not returned the parts yet, and that I need to provide a receipt for a face-to-face interaction whereby the Sears tech took the parts back on his Sears truck. I contacted the second technician again and he told me that he had submitted a second return form to Sears on March 7. He said that somehow the first form had fallen through the cracks.

Phone reps are not empowered to do anything or allow any kind of escalation. On top of that, they are totally disconnected from local repair offices. The *only* communication I've had so far is when I call in to ask for status yet again. Sears has *never* contacted me since the original appointment, despite numerous and repeated promises from Sears' phone reps.

This has been a miserable, frustrating experience and I will do all I can to warn people off ever using Sears' repair services. To be clear, the second tech was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to act on some pretty vague noise information I gave him. But the rest of everything about Sears is completely dysfunctional.

The technician was great, but Sara’s home services sucks. It took almost 2 months to get parts from my refrigerator that I have been told only took one week. I gotta run around no matter where I went through. I got nothing but runaround. I hate to even have to call them again for anything

KYLE (THE SO CALLED TECHNICIAN) DID NOT SHOW UP! NO ONE FROM SEARS HOME SERVICES SHOWED UP FOR OUR APPOINTMENT NOR HAS ANYONE FROM SEARS HOME SERVICES EVEN BOTHERED TO REACH OUT TO US! WE HAVE PAID FOR PARTS, WAITED A WEEK AND OUR AC IS STILL NOT FIXED!!!!!!!!! WE HAVE BEEN BRUSHED OFF AND LIED TOO! SEARS HOME SERVICES ARE COWARDS,THIEVES AND LIARS WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OUR THEIR CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS!

    UPDATE 6-22-25
The phone number provided in your comment does not get me to a live person. It states the job is completed and will not connect with anyone! SO EXACTLY HOW IS SOMEONE EXPECTED TO CONTACT SEARS HOME SERVICES! This is yet another issue!!!!!!

Micah was great! He was knowledgeable, personable, and quick.

My only issue was with complete lack of communication about timing, since my 8am-noon time frame turned out to be 3pm! Not Micah's fault, but someone at the service company needs to fix this!
