We had an overnight emergency where our electricity went out. My Dad is disabled and on oxygen, so this was a really big deal for us. They responded quickly, were knowledgeable professionals and remained calm in the face of my panic. The prices were very reasonable as well. I am so thankful we chose to call Cox! Will absolutely be using them for all electrical needs in the future.

I asked for an estimate to have some additional work for surge protectors on both my home and on my son's home. Cox Electrical in the Austin area is one of the most professional and excellent services available. We utilized their services to install 30 new recessed lights, new flood lights, and new plug points (both indoor and outdoor). The pricing was competitive, and the job was completed professionally. James was an extremely professional individual who provided recommendations that were in the best interest of the house, rather than solely focusing on upselling. His confidence and explanation regarding how each part of the job could be completed with less complexity aided in my decision-making, avoiding unnecessary expenses. I have used Cox Electric in the past so I am a repeat customer. However, they just lost me. I had someone come out and troubleshoot why my exterior outlet wasn’t working. He pushed the gfci button on my front porch outlet and charged me $200. That seems absolutely ridiculous! And THEN prompted me to offer the electrician a tip. Here’s a tip, don’t charge people exorbitant prices for a 2 minute easy fix. That should have been a $50 service call at best .

I've used Cox Electric three times now (2 residential, 1 commercial). I can not recommend them enough. James and his crew do great work and are fast. I was convinced the electrical problem with my water well was going to be costly but after checking numerous problem areas Cox electricians found that it wasn't as bad as anticipated and less costly. They arrived within several hours after I called, very professional, cleaned up when finished and the office called afterwards to make sure all had gone well. Great Service from Cox Electric today. I called yesterday, they were out just after noon today to fix a couple lights in my kitchen out. There wasn't a fee for just showing up to the door. Quoted me a flat rate on the phone and stuck to that rate. Had the issue fixed quickly and efficiently. I'll be using them for any other electric needs in the future.

The crew from Cox Electric showed up precisely at the scheduled time. They were quick and efficient to complete the initial wiring. Once the electrical inspection takes place, they will return to install the two exterior light fixtures which will totally complete this project.

Follow up- After the electrical inspection took place, Cox dispatched an electrician to install the fixtures. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. This project is now completed. I recommend that Cox Electric is included on any bids for electrical work as they did a good job for me.

On time and exceptional customer service. Had recessed lights put into my living room. They were very detailed and asked me many questions to make sure I was comfortable with the look of things before proceeding. Once done, they cleaned up well and asked again if there was anything I needed. I wanted dimmers installed and they got all their equipment out again to fulfill my request. They will be my first call for my next project.

My house was struck by lighting and the team at Cox did their best to keep me informed and abreast of a tricky situation. I appreciated their electricians' knowledge and patience with me as I followed him around and asked 1000 questions as he tried to work. Usually not one to do so but I had no idea what questions to even ask, and he wad MORE than helpful. They installed the lights that blew out and even offered to clean the drywall crumbs from installation. Couldn't ask for a better service.

James and team did a great job upgrading our service line to 200A and replacing the exterior panel. They coordinated with both the city and utility to handle all permitting and inspections. They showed up on time and completed the work efficiently. Would certainly recommend them.

Requested a quote to install a 50amp generator inlet and breaker interlock for my home for power outages. Received a response from Lois the next day I believe, told me to send an email with info and pictures to James. Has been a week and no response! Went with another electric company and they already got the job done. This is not how business should be done by not responding to potential customers!

Updated: Then that should be explained to the potential customer by the person that gave the initial instructions by text or automatic reply when email sent with all information requested. This would avoid a potential customer thinking they are being ignored and a bad review for your company!

I highly recommend Cox Electrical Services. From start to finish they provided excellent customer service. I needed same day service and called several companies who told me to be able to come out same day, I would have to pay an extra emergency fee. I called Cox and was told they could come same day and there would be no extra fee- just their standard fee which was very affordable and fair. They told me the techs would be by between 12-4pm. They were prompt and showed up at 2:00pm. The techs were kind, courteous and dealt with my barking dogs! They found the problem quickly and were able to fix it even quicker. Again, a seamless process from start to finish. We will definitely be reaching out to them in the future should he need any additional work done! Great Job! 👏🏼
