We had called a plumber about a backed up drain, that plumber said that we had a collapsed pipe and quoted us $12,000 to dig under our house, pull out the pipe and replace it. Obviously we called for other opinions and Smith Plumbing was recommended by a friend.
When they came out they asked to do their own analysis of the situation. We agreed. After working for an hour they were able to UNCLOG our pipe and get the water draining better than it ever has! I would highly recommend this company!

Insurance adjusters if you're reading this, they are artificially inflating their bills to cover deductibles. Request an itemized bill for every service or product they supply because they're out here defrauding insurance agencies.

Also they do sub par work. They aren't capable of patching leaky pipes apparently. They said I needed to replace all of my plumbing for $9,000. I got a second opinion and got the leaks repaired for under $100.

We have used Smith Plumbing Company exclusively since we bought our house 40 years ago. We have replaced our kitchen sink, extended outside faucet lines, replaced an outside faucet, replaced a disposal, and kitchen sink faucets. Had a couple of blockage issues along the way, too. It was only natural that I would call them when we decided to upgrade our toilets to cut down on water usage. I have NEVER had anything but excellent service from them. Extremely informative, friendly, prompt. Do a great job. As I was finding the phone number, I happened to run across this site where people wrote reviews. I teased Chris when I called to make an appointment. How come he has bad reviews?? He said several of the reviews were submitted by people who have never used the services of the company!!!
Hopefully prospective customers will consider this when deciding on a plumbing company!

Smith Plumbing of Grand Prairie is a great company. Experienced and knowledgable technicians with excellent troubleshooting skills. They are prompt to get here and also can provide great products. They are our go to family plumbing provider!

Love, Love, Love this plumbing company. When I called on 2/19/21, after the winter storm Gunner answered the phone and advised that they had been closed as well, but asked my issue, my name, address and phone number. He advised that he would call me back by end of business. A few hours later I received that call advising a plumber would be out the next day!! WOW!! On Saturday, the next day the plumber was here to fix the issue. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
I will definitely use Smith for all my plumbing needs.

We received prompt, courteous service at what we considered a reasonable price. They replaced an outside faucet, kitchen sink faucet and a toilet. They were very professional and explained everything to me before repairs and after. My brother is deaf, they patiently attempted communication with him, they had to talk to me via phone and also went next door to my sister's house to communicate with us.
I will definitely be using their services in the future.

Prompt, knowledgeable, and top notch, and don't charge an arm and a leg for service. This is the only company I use on my commercial properties. They are the best!

The guys at Smith Plumbing always do a great job and usually can get to my repair in less than 24 hours. I have used several other plumbers in the area. They are, by far, the most courteous and accommodating of any. They are fair with their prices too. Highly recommend them!

I have seeking help from smith plumbing twice. First time they test our warehouse water pipe. clean the drainage pipe by $1299, much cheaper than Roto and accept our pay checks after 3weeks that is great. but second time I try to get a quote for gas pipe inspect and repairing, they refuse to give us am expected price, I understand it. However, during negotiating, they use F word on me. So, for residential job it may great.

They came out to my moms house on time and did an awesome job. The plumber was outstanding and I would highly recommend this company. They have outstanding owners and employees.

I hired Smith Plumbing Company after another company tried to sell me a $1500 valve replacement. Smith correctly identified that this was not the appropriate repair, and charged me less than $400 for a quick stem replacement, using better parts than I started with. Mike was quick, didn't make any mess, and answered my questions to my satisfaction. I am happy to say I finally found a plumbing company I trust, and will gladly recommend them to anyone!

Smith’s plumbing serviced my parents home for at least 20 years. When I needed a plumbing job done at my home, I called Smith’s plumbing. They are very responsive and reasonably priced. They did a great job on our plumbing work! We removed a bathtub and had Smith’s Plumbing repair the drain that was leaking then they relocated the plumbing within the wall to install a walk in shower.

Our family have been using Smith Plumbing for almost 15 years now. They’re very responsive and provide excellent work. Always polite and responsive.

This is what it looks like after they've finished their work. I didn't expect them to repair the drywall, but they didn't bother vacuuming up the dust they made. Serval spots in the house where they cut through the drywall and left dust. They also sprayed blue liquid to find leaks and didn't wipe the excess off the walls. There are black scuff marks on the walls too. It's annoying that I need to clean up after them. I was originally told $625 to find the gas leak and repair it and was reassured that it would likely not go over $1000. My house had several leaks so it's understandable that I paid more, but after the first day they told me it was going to be $3500, almost 6 times the original price. Had they told me from the get go their hourly rate was $245/hr I could have easily done the math that one day for labor would be $2000 and would have had proper expectations of cost.
They did come out promptly and fixed the leak and got us running with gas again in 4 days despite the issues my house had. They seemed knowledgeable and experienced. I just wish there was more transparency in their rates and had cleaned up after themselves.

Edit: I found out they didn't file a permit with the city, which was required and expected. They also left all the old plumbing in the attic, which I have to clean up.
