The customer service of this company is excellent. Prompt and respectful is their method of operation. Their system of reminder and communications is one of the best.

I only offered 3 stars because of the quality of the service at times. Inconsistent cleanings with lack of attention to detail. Would love to change and offer higher rating if things change.

Update: 06/07/24 unfortunately after three consecutive poor services we had to terminate our contract. They rushed through all the jobs and blew all the grass into the garden beds. The customer service was really accommodating and they did whatever they could, but couldn’t keep the service any longer.

Excellent service from Celeste, she deserves a raise or bonus. She was professional and kind. She listened to my questions provided answers and gave me reassurance that as we move forward I could modify my package if I desired. It is refreshing to speak with customer service reps who actually listen and want to help.

Fresh Lawn came to our rescrew being a new customer they answered our request for fast service. Our lawn looked bad and really needed cutting and trimming. They came fast and did a good job.

My husband booked Fresh Lawn for a recurring biweekly mow. Today was the first and only time Fresh Lawn will have our business. In the booking form, there is an option to leave “special notes” in which my husband requested that the team avoid the oak sapling that is growing in the yard. He also placed a stake next to the sapling so it would be easily seen & avoided. Fresh Lawn completely obliterated both the sapling AND the stake. Mowed completely over it. Not to mention that the mow isn’t even a clean job. Such poor attention to detail. We will not recommend Fresh Lawn to anyone.

Good place to buy landscaping plants. Be aware that the 50% off sale advertised does not apply to all types of flowers and plants.

The hard freeze claimed my 3rd Hibiscus hedge in 26 years. I knew exactly where to go! I purchased 6 braided Hibiscus topiary trees to create a new hedge, gorgeous hanging baskets, and tons of impatients. I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years. Staff is more than helpful, courteous, and always smiling. Best quality of plants and HUGE selection!

This was my first and LAST visit here at this location.  I purchased some items at this location on Thursday 4/15/21.  I paid for my items and received some change back. The change consisted of a lot of $1 bills. The cashier said that is all she had. I accepted the money. And the transaction ended. I stuffed the money in my pocket because all those $1 bills couldn’t fit in my wallet.  I went to my car, loaded my items, returned the shopping cart and got into my car. I took the change, that I received from the Garden center cashier, to put in my larger wallet.  But I  noticed that some of the $1 bills look and felt different.  I took a closer look and them and I noticed that the color,  print, font and size were different.  The serial numbers were consecutive and they were All printed in 2017. But they appeared to be brand new. I found all of that very odd.
I felt very uneasy about those $1 bills. So I  took my receipt and ALL of the change that I received from the Houston Garden Center cashier back inside of the store. I was greeted by a different cashier.  I ask her to call the manager.  And she did.
A manager named Alex showed up.  I calmly explained everything to him.  He immediately became very hostile. And he said that he could accept that money back because he didn’t know where that money came from. I told him that I was going to call the police and they could handle the situation.  He replied with a lot of profanity and yelling.  I asked him what was the reason for all the animosity.  Then he told me that he would take the $1 bills back. He grab the $1 bills from my hands rough. He brought more of the same $1 bills from his office and tried to hand them to me. And He said that he just had gotten them from the bank and they were not fake.
I told him that I didn’t want any more of those $1 bills. Then  condescending said “what do you want to give you $100 bill. I told him no…I wanted other bills like fives or $10. He said that he didn’t have any of those. Then he said that he was going to give me a roll of quarters. I told him that was fine.
I took the roll of quarters and left the store. I went to my car and immediately called the Houston Garden Center to report  everything.  I  reported the manager ALEX to Bobby.  But mid report she asked be to hold on. She put me on hold for about 3 minutes.  Then she returned to say that she had just spoken to Alex the manager while I  was on hold. And he told her that he exchanged the money for me.  Bobby took Alex’s word. And basically dismissed everything and tried to rush me off the phone. But before I hung up the phone…I  got her name, the name office manager Cindy’s and owner Matt Hooper. And I  told her that I  wanted her to file a formal complaint on Alex the store manager @ 1700 West Loop North Houston, Tx 77008 store #12. She assured me that she would.  And I told her that I will check back.

Staff seems helpful and nice. Very good variety but the flowers I was interested in were priced higher than at another store. Will definitely shop here again.

Went there with purchases in mind and to see their citrus offerings. The checkout lady was top shelf wonderful and helpful. We also saw flowering milkweeds in pots at least two feet high for our monarch raising and left with six-foot Dancy Tangerine tree for $50. Three bags of mulch, potting soil and a couple of salvia

I’ve been going here for my bedding plants but it lacks customer service, beware of the sour face old ladies at the cashiers. I noticed many customers avoiding their lanes. Their prices have been spiking, they’re changing the system and labels to barcodes. So they’re trying to get rid of the yellow sticker pots. Arborvitae and gardenias overpriced!! I would rather go to a local nursery where you’re treated much better and get help loading your purchases.

Called to see if they had avocado trees. Waited 10 minutes on hold. Finally had to call back and was very rudely told they don't quote prices on the phone. So I asked can you just tell me close to the price so I would know how much money to bring with me and was told no. I'll take my business elsewhere.

This is the place to go if you like wasting time picking out plants only to be ignored by the cashiers. They have the rudest most inattentive staff of any of their locations and that’s a pretty low bar. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Sadly, any of the big box stores like Lowe’s will treat you much better. Go any where but here!

Worst place to purchase a Christmas tree. The trees are overpriced. All of the trees are just sitting outside without given proper nutrients and water. Paid the additional fee to do the fresh cut and stand after my purchase. Tree is dead and taking up no water. Lady who answered the phone the next morning had the nerves to lie stating the tree just arrived earlier this week but prior to purchasing the Christmas tree was told the last shipment was received three weeks ago. Save your money and purchase a fake tree since the ones at Houston Garden Center are dead! It’s a huge safety hazard and not worth placing your family in danger. I was told all sales are final and unable to exchange the tree.

I walked the whole entire place. The sign said 50% off. Picked up four Mexican heather walked it to the front no not these these are not 50% off. I left them at the checkout and walked out. Every time I go here I seem to never leave with the plant. They look really beat up also. They should be 70% off or more

The plant quality does not disappoint at this location and the staff are so helpful. It’s my go to garden center.

I went today to purchased plants. One plants said $9.99. The sign is there Ect. Turns out it was $22.90. Management comes and i tell him what’s going on. But guess what. Apparently it’s my fault for not reading the plants original name. There’s only one sign and he blamed me for not knowing the name of it. Then says “we didn’t put a sign I have a million other plants to do”. That’s not my fault. That’s your job. He gave me an attitude and said “okay return her money”. It’s not my responsibility to check for a plants given name when the website or check number label. Plants should have there price. According to him it’s my fault for not rechecking price. But they didn’t put a price before hand because he was too busy as a manager.

Their selection has gotten increasingly worse over the last few years while their discounts have also gotten worse. To top it all off, Kim Hooper, doesn't feel patriotic enough to give a military discount. I don't like that. And to top it all off she makes her employees work on holidays like Christmas Eve because everyone knows that's when you go Garden shopping.

It seems like this store gets all of the plants that have something wrong with them. I had the worst growing season ever. I bought my spring flowers and potting soil from this store. Nothing matured correctly. Limited selection. Same plants all season. Nothing for shade. Very disappointed. I will be looking for another place to shop for plants and soil.

My first time here and I brought the current ad they have online. I asked the nearest worker and she said "No we don't have any of those" like she was very sure they didn't and I was about to walk away to find something else another worker she said "yes we do they should be on the left side" and the worker I asked was like shocked "Oh we do??" And then so I asked about another plant both of them gave me the opposite answers at the same time. So the lady who told me no in the start said no again and the other lady said they should all be on the left side. The lady who kept saying no was giving her worker like a sour REALLY? look.....so I brushed that off. The next I went to only pick up an individual like pint size to plant to look what was the name because they're usually labeled outside but I couldn't see the name. I saw the sign that said you can't mix them together you have to buy them all together which was like 18 pint plants. One of the cashiers ran up and was like angry that I picked it up individually and she said YOU JUST CANNOT MIX AND MATCH TOGETHER I was about to say very sarcastically "I know, I read the sign" but I held my tongue and just said I'm sorry and placed it back. As she went back in to continue checking ppl out, I followed behind her because I was ready to check out. She then proceeded to tell the lady who was checking out in front of me "Some people just don't know how to read" and they both began to laugh knowing damn well I was there in line within hearing distance. I'm glad I found what I was looking for, because I'm never going back there.

I slipped and fell on their very slippery smooth concrete floor this morning. The cashier whose arm was in a sling from a similar incident, said "it happens all the time." The manager was called. He told me "You should have been more careful." I had been shuffling along, aware of the slippery floor- I'm seventy, I'm always careful! Lucky I didn't break a hip! Manager didn't offer any kind of help, not even to write a report. I only wanted to make the company aware of the dangerous condition so they could do something about it, but they obviously don't care. I'll never go back.
