I had gotten my air ducts cleaned. And Dor with his crew came and did an absolutely wonderful job. They were so professional and they explain everything. Just overall a 10 out of 10. Must recommend.

The AC works and has worked for a few weeks now, that's the best I can say.

The whole thing felt scammy, though.

They came in, looked around and said my AC wasn't working because all of the duct work was dirty and they needed to do a big/expensive deep clean. I said that didn't make sense because that would have been a slow progression problem and the AC had just started acting up over night. The technician kind of stared at me like he didn't expect push back and then goes "well I have one more test I need to run".

He goes outside, runs his test, and says that ACTUALLY the real problem is an intake hose that isn't working/wasn't put in right and needs to be taken off and resoldered on. It would be $1500. I questioned why it would act up now, and I forget his answer, but he, and the heat, convinced me to say okay.

As soon as he turns the breaker off and then back on a few minutes later the fan motor dies. He stares at me and says "oh well, that's going to be more". I argued that no, I was not paying more when he was elbow deep in my AC and something suddenly stops working that was working before. That's why he's insured. He left to call his boss who apparently told him that it was probably the fan motor from the start and I didn't need a hose soldered. The frustrating part of that is less that I had to argue with him, and more that he knew so little about this job that he had to be coached over the phone. If I hadn't argued with him he would have been more than happy to charge me for the hose I didn't need AND the fan motor.
He told me that luckily the fan motor would cost me less, so it would be a win.

This was early in the afternoon. I had to leave for a doctor's appointment, but my husband was on the way home, they said they were
getting to work. When he got home they were no where to be found. We wondered if they had abandoned the job, but there were still tools spread around. They didn't show back up for several hours. It was past 9:00 when they finished putting in the fan motor.....they started this job at around 12:00. They ended up charging us $1100 for the fan motor ...it's an insane amount of money.

The icing on the cake, which of course we didn't notice because it was already dark, is for some bizarre reason the left 4 screws sticking out of the top of our unit...why would they do this??? This isn't normal, they can't have ever done this before. This has to be a complete level of "I don't care about you or your property". It's just waiting for someone to fall and get impaled upon.
Of course it makes me wonder what they did to the inside of the unit.

I would never use this company again.

Don't trust the guy named "guy" he gave me false information regarding my AC unit. Said it's going to work couple of years. I spent 1250 dollars for their service and in 2 days the system stopped working. And he even got the phone from me and put a 5 star review himself. 😡

Gabriel came out to my home and did and amazing job with my repairs. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. I have had issues with my a/c every year for many year. I’m so glad that I met him while I was Ubering. He came through and saved my a/c for this summer. It’s really hot in Houston. Thanks for your help.

These guys are absolute crooks. Do not use them. My 78 yr old mother called them to clean out a dryer duct for $170. The tech showed up and was very professional. He offered to inspect the AC ducts and showed pictures that they needed to be cleaned. My mom called me with the technician. He explained it would be $563 to clean, vacuum and spray the ducts. I thought this seemed fair and approved the work.
A different tech showed up on Monday and convinced her the problem was much bigger and not to worry. He said he would fix everything and started work immediately. The total bill was over $10,609 including an $800 travel and disposal fee. My mom called me after they left very upset.
I have logged a complaint with the manager and am disputing with the credit card company. This is an absolute racket. Read the reviews below. Several people have the same issue.

My ordeal is profoundly disheartening, mainly because I confided my combat military experiences to Gabe, only to discover later that he used that to his advantage to overcharge me. I called Aura Services out just to do a routine cleaning of my air ducts/AC unit and was initially quoted at $150, Gabe revised the estimate to $3,700, claiming the job was far more extensive than anticipated and would take at least three days to complete. Despite my hesitance at the cost, he emphasized the importance of safeguarding my family from mold-infested air. He even persuaded me to invest in a UV light for an additional $500, promising to negotiate a lower price with the owner if I combined the two. However, when a different crew arrived two days later and completed the task in a mere 45 minutes without installing the UV light, my attempts to reach Gabe went unanswered. After finally contacting him, he apologized for the oversight and promised to rectify it, but failed to follow through personally.

Feeling betrayed by his conduct post-sale, I sought opinions from two other companies, both of which offered solutions similar to Gabe's original quote, costing no more than $750 and requiring no more than an hour. This disparity left me profoundly disillusioned, feeling exploited by Gabe's manipulation of my desire to protect my family. I am deeply disappointed by his business practices and cannot recommend his company, especially as they take advantage of military veterans. I intend to report this behavior and hope for an apology from Gabe.

Gabriel was nice to do floor services to give avery good deal plus help move all the furniture, remove trash etc.. I would recommend Gabriel Avi for services.

Just had Gabriel and his crew here to clean my dryer vent since I was getting an alert there was a blockage. I’ve only been in this house for a short period of time, but with the age of the house, this was bound to be a necessary service. When Gabriel and his crew were cleaning everything, they hit a point where it was clear there was a significant blockage that would require more work. I do recognize that it’s easy for these companies to unnecessarily upcharge, so I naturally had many questions and asked to verify some things. It would be easy for someone to get a bit frustrated with my questions, or to even take offense as if I’m questioning their judgement or their integrity. But Gabriel understood my need to feel comfortable with paying for additional services. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions. Throughout the process, he would also call me over to show me what they were breaking down and collecting. No question there was a severe blockage that had probably been there for quite some time. Now, I feel like my family and I are mush safer from fire risk, and I feel like it was money well spent. Really appreciated Gabriel being so patient and understanding with me. Highly recommend him and this company.

DO NOT USE FOR ANY PLUMBING SERVICES. They installed a water heater in a unit I recently purchased. It was done extremely poorly. The drain was hooked up with a section that has an incline, and they cracked the existing drain well pipe as well as the drip basin. Customer service is horrendous. They actually started to HANG UP ON ME when I called about the warranty. They have phone logs so they know who I am when I call and just ignore me. DO NOT HIRE THEM. I recommend STERNENBERG & KROHN they are great

In July, Gabriel did work on my dryer duct system and installed a downdraft for my cooktop. The downdraft work was incomplete bc I Had to wait for a part to come in. But it was also not installed properly. I am also having an issue with the dryer vent system. I have been trying to contact Gabriel directly, there is no response to his number. I then tried to contact AURA services main number and their representative set up two different service calls to my home, but no one showed up. Now, she is not answering my calls. I have left multiple messages and sent an email, with no response. I strongly recommend NOT using this company. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and unreachable.

Excellent service from Aura!! Provided me with great information regarding my ducts and gave me pricing before doing any of the work. I didn’t realized my ducts were not sealed and aire was escaping into the attic. They also showed me pics of the results!

DO NOT USE!!! Gabriel can talk a good talk, but you will not be happy with the results. This was just for a new wooden fence. I over-paid to get the work started immediately, instead of waiting 4 - 6 weeks from others I contacted. Left a 6" gap under the gate. Gate looks like it was made from scrap wood. Did not fix. Just stopped replying to my emails. Used the old hardware from my previous gate instead of new. The gate hangs crooked. Left the old fencing in my yard for at least 2 weeks or more. The crew left their lunch and drink trash in my yard. Crooked cross bars. He wanted to put my old fencing at the street instead of removing it from the property. I paid over $500 for it to be removed! I learned a lesson. What a joke. The whole experience was shady.

THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! AVOID AT ALL COST!

We called this company because we had a leak in our fireplace every time it rained and we needed to repair it and other reviews said they did good work. As of March 22, I am still dealing with this company for work that supposedly fixed the leak on January 2 by a guy name Dor. Not only did they do a very poor job but I had other companies that came to my home to quote me how much it would cost to fix Aura's screw up. They all told me that they used the wrong materials. Furthermore, the first time it was "fixed" I went up on the roof to inspect it and it was literally crumbling under one finger. They then sent another guy Alan who used the wrong materials as stated above by multiple companies.

If that's not enough Alan wasn't even supposed to show up, the supervisor Gabriel was supposed to come and a half hour before the end of the time frame he gave us is over, he calls and says he didn't feel like coming. Alan shows up and assess it then leaves, we hear nothing fo days and when we call, Gabriel said that Alan td him the repairs wer fine. Alan claims he did not say this and proceeds to "repair" the chimney and leak but the next big rain, it's leaking worse than ever! If that's not enough, the chimney crown was not even which multiple companies told us was creating more leak issues. We call the office to get a refund because we don't want anyone from this company touching our home, the lady who answers the calls gets very rude and snippetty and says, "I'll pass the message along" whixh is what she's told us now I don't know how many times and as usual, we never get a call. They refuse to refund the money we're out from their negligence. Credit card dispute.

I wouldn't hire this to pick up dog crap in my yard. If this is the type of customer service they offer, then they shouldn't even own a business. They cost me thousands of dollars extra in additional repairs, damage to my home, and stress. If you want your repair done right, DON'T CALL AURA!

While driving down the street, a van belonging to this company was parked on the wrong side of the street and an abruptly pulled out in front of me to back into a driveway. The driver yelled out the window as if I was wrong. He didn’t care that he’d almost totaled my car with his carelessness.
