This place is awesome! I needed a shower cartridge, but couldn’t find one in stock anywhere. A store rep from a hardware store suggested U Plumb It.

I contacted them through Google messages. I was able to connect with the owner via text. He/she patiently helped me figure out which part I needed through text photos.

They were extremely busy due to The Great Freeze of 2021, but they were still gracious and helpful. When I arrived at the store to pick up my part, it was so busy there was a line out the door. However, the staff still makes sure to help every customer. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you!!

I’ve been coming here for years, but more frequently in the past few. The owner, who may have come off as salty to newcomers has more knowledge than you could ask for. He’s taken a step back recently, and his son Chris seems to be taking the lead. He is equally as helpful and a super nice guy.
Houston wouldn’t be the same without this resource, as evident by the pro plumbers and do it yourselfers that frequent this packed little warehouse.

Unfortunately, I too had a terrible experience here. For a store named U-Plumb-It weren’t quite nurturing of the DIY spirit. Ms. Ward wouldn’t sell me p-traps because a customer plumber intervened and was unable provide an alternative to my dilemma. But, after a quick search an alternative did exist - an air admittance valve. I went back in to try again with the team and asked for the p trap brand to match with the correct AAV. Ms. Ward said she didn’t know the brand and then completely ignored me. Chris, standing behind her made direct eye contact with me and either heard the question and ignored me or didn’t quite catch what I’d asked and didn’t follow-up. Either way, my question was actively not getting a response. Never got to clarify I needed the brand name for the AAV. From start to finish the whole experience was off. It’s unfortunate too because they do have a lot of great inventory $$$$. If you’re first time plumbing DIY and looking for a place to frequent every other day to get the parts you need and asks questions - in my xp - this might be a tough cookie to chew. Good Luck..

U-Plumb-It is a real asset to the community. The folks that run it are very knowledgeable and super helpful. You can tell they’re good given the constant flow of plumbers coming in looking for very specific parts or advice. I needed a part for a weird custom fixture, and they were able to figure out the manufacturer without much trouble and got the part. Saved me hours of searching. They also play great music.

One of the best businesses in Houston. Once I had to replace the seats in my bathtub faucets (rental), and all I had to do was to take an ancient faucet handle with no brand name visible into the store and the owner immediately knew what brand it was, and that it required a special seat-puller tool - which he lent me (with guarantee of credit card left behind). Wonderful people. The best.

Lowe’s didn’t have it. Home Depot didn’t have it. U-plumb-it. For parts you just can find elsewhere

Walked in the store to get parts for a faucet the store sold me and return an item they sold me that did not fit and was passed up by two other customers in line that was behind me but they were ethically the same as the rep behind the counter and then when they refused to allow me to return the item they sold me and I said it was BS and they asked me to leave the store. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had at the store since the owner has not been there to serve his customers…he was amazing and the new people are absolutely the worst in serving their customers! Go to City Supply they helped me get the Bibb seat seals I needed and didn’t even charge me and were the nicest people on the earth!

Very busy and not enough help. Owner was in the middle of meetings at the front counter and then taking care of customers sporadically. Waited in line for 45 minutes all for him to tell me they didn’t carry the parts I needed.

If I could give a negative star to this business, I would. Plumbing supplies is one of the most replace/return parts and get a refund to your acct type of business there are.
Their customer service is lousy. I had bought several items from them and was left with a part I had no use for. I tried to return a hose (granted I did not have the receipt) and get my money back. Since the beginning of me asking for a refund, I was met with a very negative attitude by the over the counter worker/owner. He, and a woman behind the counter, escalated the situation to where I was more or less thrown out of the store and I vowed never to set foot in it. He came storming out into the parking lot and eventually gave me some money back which accounted for 1/3 of the original price I paid for the part. So they stole money from me and I did not want the aggravation of keeping the hose that I have no use for. Terrible customer service.

This place is what customer service use to be. Im so thankful I went. The gentleman and lady took me back...... Pure nostalgia..... As someone who did a career in this hell called customer service there 2 were what it originally was not this new age nonsense we suffer in nowadays.

My son manages several hundred year old properties and is fixing things on a regular basis. He almost always finds the parts he needs as well as great advice and an excellent candy jar 🤣

Chris and his team have always been there for me. As a company owner it’s the only place I go to get parts. Not only do they have everything, every part, every cartridge for a shower all kinds of things… not only that. But they are kind and always trying to help.

I visited this establishment this past Friday morning with the intention of purchasing an item. After waiting at the counter for approximately ten minutes without being acknowledged or assisted, I noticed an employee working in the back. I greeted him politely and said, “Good morning, could you please assist me?” To my surprise, his response—delivered in an aggressive tone—was, “Can’t you see I’m doing something?”

I was taken aback by such an unprofessional reaction. Choosing to remain courteous, I simply replied, “Sir, have a good day,” and began to leave. As I walked away, he dismissively responded with, “Bye.”

I am unsure whether this individual was experiencing a difficult day, but such behavior is entirely unacceptable in any customer-facing role. This experience left a negative impression, and I strongly encourage the owner to provide proper customer service training to staff. Respectful, prompt, and professional communication is the foundation of good business, and unfortunately, that standard was not met during my visit.

Update, thank you for your response U plumb it, to clarify, I went through the front side of the store, and it was an employee that made the negative remark, I purchased items from him before at that same location.

U-Plumb-It is amazing! Chris was incredibly helpful and clearly very knowledgeable about plumbing. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed to get the job done right. Their prices are the best I’ve found—super affordable without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend U-Plumb-It for anyone looking for great service and expert advice!

Good place for plumbing supplies, good customer service and a good old fashioned pa and ma shop which has everything with competitive pricing, also the staff is knowledgeable, though it is a little hard to locate items but the staff is there ready to help finding what you need, I'll definitely will be using them when in the area

They showed up at my house when they said they would and worked tirelessly till the job was complete. They did a wonderful job.
