I gave them two stars because they did come out the same day like promised, and when they were running late they did let me know. However the poor rating is from the following:
My water heater was not turning on after City of houston turned off the gas in our home to repair the gas line. Our water heaters were working prior to the gas disconnect. The technicians that came out immediately informed me that I need a new water heater, when I mentioned to them that the water heaters work but just need to be turned on they quoted $250 to turn on each water heater.

I called my handyman he came out that day and turned on each water heater with no issues. So I didn’t need a new water, and it should t cause $250 to turn on a water heater.

I had an outside copper pipe that busted and was leaking some inside. I called GEI plumbing and they had a guy out within a couple of hours. Fixed it in less that an hour and had the appropriate people to come out while he was fixing it to look at the water damage. Very professional and polite!

The technician came and so everything great young man explained to me and showed me what was wrong has to call the city as part of it is a cities part, and the other side is mine. The city hasn’t come yet, but the technician was great to explain to me, detail, detail everything. I’m just going through a lot that he calm me down cause I got a bad technician. Hope to continue once the city comes get this taken care of.

Great job done by Jeikon!! He was able to remove a toy flushed down our toilet in less than an hour! Will def be using his services again! Thank you!

Giovanni and co-worker did an amazing job fixing Underneath the bathroom sink and replacing faucet. I’m really appreciate good work.

They really try to get to you as soon as they can. I had a small leak in our PEX piping system that was leaking through our ceiling. I called on a Saturday (with an answering service - which is what I expected on a Saturday afternoon). A representative from GEI called me the next morning (Sunday) and shared they wouldn't be able to make until Monday and we arranged an appointment then. A couple of hours later I received a text to see if they could come out sooner (that day - Sunday). They were here quickly and were able complete the job quickly. If I have serious plumbing issues again, I'll be calling them with confidence.

Juan and Jeikon did an amazing job on installing a new water heater in a time of emergency very professional and will answer any questions that you may have. I recommend these guys personally if you have any plumbing needs.

They came in and evaluated the problem which is what we thought it was. They gave us estimates and Shaunti was able to complete the work the same day!

Sean was amazing, he got us fixed and ready in record time. My shower drain was leaking to the downstairs and he found the problem and even saved us additional costs by readjusting the price to reflect the actual services needed. Highly recommend.

Called GEI for a rent house in Pasadena TX. With a leaking toilet at the base. They responded quickly and arrived within 2 hours. The plumber looked at the job and said it would cost $150 to replace wax ring. Okay go ahead. Calls back and says it will be another $175 to replace a part. This is coming from my renter and I just want this to be done since I'm 3 hours away. I don't know how they more than double the price for a simple wax ring. They definitely took advantage of the situation and I'll never call them again.

We are very happy with the work done by Fernando and Giovanni. For my wife’s Christmas present we did a Delta bathroom upgrade for the whole house and they got it done very professionally and my wife is glad we called these guys. Thank you and Merry Christmas

I cannot say enough good things about this company! I had a main sewer line get backed up under the house and they worked with me to get the best possible outcome. The old cast iron pipes had to be completely replaced with PVC. We discussed options and he was very flexible. In the end, they got the work completed so the lines were up and running in no time. Highly recommend for major plumbing projects!

I held off writing a review for a long time at first i hoped we would come to a solution but our phone contact was dismissive of our issue and then i never got a response via email. We had 2 different services to fix our septic tank - the first wound up being a full replacement. we were staying somewhere else due to the issue and the crew arrived before the scheduled time and didnt contact us until after they did the work. They left a big mess with trash (like broken pvc , gloves) and left our yard so turned up it cant be mowed in that area. They also didnt do a full disposal of the lid and left it. Whatever I was glad to have it fixed and willing to look past that. We started having issues again pretty quickly and they suggested installing a pump this is where things went south and they didn’t fulfill their contract. They left an extension cord running from my house to the septic pump in the yard - this breaks a few different electrical codes and is not industry standard like they say their work is performed to. Before it was installed they said the pump “should bring years of peace” and after “its a temporary solution” if this had been offered as a budget option / temporary solution we would have explored other options nothing that was said to us verbally or in our contract suggests we were being given a temporary solution especially when quoted over $2000 for “electrical work as needed”. The electrical work that is ran is not good quality missing caps and is below ground level when i have to regrade that area from their initial work. After spending something like $9000 i shouldnt have to unplug an extension cord to mow my lawn, worry about electrical issues in the rain (which is when we need the pump most) or be out of electrical code after hiring professionals

Juan was very respectful and just plain nice. We have a very small gas leak at our new range. He looked every where, except behind the wall. He tightened everything exposed up and is getting a quote together just in case the problem is still there. Service call charge was very reasonable. I found my new plumbing company!

UPDATE: The manager called my husband and he was very apologetic for the costumer service that was received. We discussed and came to an agreement. I was refunded a portion of the money I paid. Someone did come and perform a test so I was in agreement to pay for services rendered. Overall I feel that since the manger chose to make things right I would in the future give them another chance.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to start by saying the gentleman that came to my home to do our backflow test was very nice and helpful with contacting the city because they had shut my water off because I was overdue in getting my backflow checked. Once the test was done it did not pass. Next thing I know we received a invoice for 2,500.00 to replace the whole system. My husband contacted the guy to ask why it didnt pass and where the problem was, he just said he didnt know and would have to replace the whole setup. My husband asked why we had to replace the whole system instead of finding the problem and fixing it, and he said it didnt make since to try and fix it, it just needs to be replaced. So my husband called the company GEI and asked why the gentleman would not find the issue instead of replacing the whole system and the company said he trust the person and if he said it needs to be replaced then thats what needs to happen. We were not happy because it could have been a simple fix like trash, leaves blocking, or washers needing to be replaced. My pool was built in 2023 so I know I should not need the whole system replaced. We called another plumber and he checked, found the issue, it was a worn washer and needed to be replaced. He replaced it and my backflow passed. He contacted the city and the plumber sent me my certificate via email and I was charged $240.00. This company tried to rip me off. They wanted 2500 to replace the whole system when the only thing needed replaced was a washer that was worn. I feel they thought I was so desperate to fix the problem that I would pay anything because the city had turned my water off. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR BEWARE OF THE CONTRACTORS THEY USE THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF. I STILL HAD TO PAY THEM THE FEE OF 575 PLUS A 172 DOLLAR LATE FEE BECAUSE THEY THREATENED TO PUT A LEIN ON MY PROPERTY FOR NON PAYMENT!! UNBELIEVABLE AND ALL THEY DID WAS COME OUT AND TELL ME IT DIDNT PASS. NO CERTIFICATE, NOTHING! HORRIBLE COMPANY!! IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD.

IT SHOULD BE A CRIME TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE THIS WAY. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Jeikon and Juan were absolutely wonderful! They worked so well as a team. We were impressed with how well they knew what they were doing. They were very respectful and professional and they answered all of our questions in a way we could understand without making us feel stupid. They weren’t rushing to get out the door and it felt like they genuinely wanted to help us in a very unexpected crappy situation.

Called yesterday with a couple of plumbing needs. Put me on the schedule for this morning with reasonable timeframe. Sean arrived within the provided timeframe. Sean is very knowledgable and was very professional throughout the service. So impressed with the service that we have decided to go with their yearly preventive maintenance program.

Update: Yearly service today - 2/13. Different service tech - same great service.
