Felipe was my technician that came out and he was wonderful!! He was able to figure out what was wrong with my unit and he was able to adjust some of the items in it so that none of the parts were laying on the wiring anymore to allow this unit to last a little longer until I can replace it since it is on the older end of a unit. I am grateful for his services because I had been without A/C for about three to five months at this point. He was so kind and patient while I was working things out to pay him. He didn't have judgement while I was sorting things out. Will use this company again and highly recommend Felipe.

EZ Comfort rescued me from Home Warranty shenanigans, after I hadn’t had AC for 10 days while in the middle of a heat wave in Humble that included daily heat advisories and resulted in a house whose ambient temperature was 90F from June 14th - June 24th 2023.

Their staff were able to get me on their schedule with minimal delays (when other companies were quoting 2-3 weeks into the future), with one phone call to the stellar office team. The Business Owner & HVAC technician, Juan Carlos, quickly diagnosed the issue and explained what options I had. His professional, polite, technical demeanor & explanation resulted in my family replacing the furnace, drip pan (which was inappropriately plumbed causing rusty water to constantly drip from our backup line rather than divert to the primary drain line) and installed a whole home surge protector. These updates should mitigate/eliminate future issues.

It is likely that local power surges placed strain on my capacitor (which had a burnt out terminal & char marks on the mounting frame), resolved a Gerry-rigged control board, and replaced the non- functioning blower. All these observations where ignored by my home warranty inspector who instead quickly insisted that I had a leak in my system that the HW wouldn’t cover & tried to sale me a “temporary fix” via cash that wouldn’t have addressed any of the true issues. Thank goodness I was smart enough to reach out to EZ Comfort who did a thorough system inspection to provide a technical disposition with appropriate records of their finding’s & recommendations for correction.

The EZ Comfort staff who came out to help (installation & removal of non-operating equipment) were professional and friendly, with much appreciation, thanks, and popsicles given to Juan Carlos & his team (Yoni, Jose, & the electrician).

The front of the office staff were equally as professional effective and just pleasurable to talk and work with to restore services. I am looking forward to using EZ Comfort for all my future HVAC & home services needs in the future as together we maintain & service my property through their helpful & reasonably priced maintenance plan & dedicated team of technicians & installers.

November 2023 Update... It's been almost 2 years since getting a Trane variable speed zone system and we're extremely happy with it.

The Texas heat dome this past summer was no match for how amazingly comfortable it feels. The system runs more often at lower (variable) speeds, which in turn keeps the humidity levels down in the house so that we can actually keep the thermostat at a higher temperature than we could our previous one speed system. But also it feels like just the right amount of coolness on us all the time, rather than how our one speed system blew hard until we were cold but then we felt hot again shortly after turning off. And of course all this adds up to much greater efficiency while using less electricity and a big savings each month.

Alfredo Sandoval from EZ Comfort has been coming 2x a year since installation to do checkups on the system as part of their service plan. He is extremely thorough, courteous and always makes sure all my questions are answered before completing his system checkup. So for BOTH installation and post-installation maintenance and service, I highly recommend EZ Comfort!

Amazing company! After getting several estimates with different types of ac systems, Juan Martinez with EZ Comfort helped me decide that a Trane variable speed zone system would be the best fit for our house. And they were the best price!
Installation went great. All their techs and installers were professional and top-notch. They repaired and in some cases replaced poorly performing duct work. They added new insulation to help with our efficiency. And Juan and owner Carlos made sure the zone system was perfectly configured and all my questions were answered before calling the job complete.

Philip Mora and his crew removed and replaced all of our HVAC ductwork. We had experienced poor air flow throughout the bedrooms and bathroom in our home for years and final decided to do something about it. Philip came out and gave us a great estimate to not only replaced all of our ductwork but also add new ducting in order to balance the airflow properly. In addition, they also upgraded our coil casing and added an extra return and media filter. All of these upgrades really balanced the airflow throughout the house evenly. Philip made the entire job seamless, and his crew did an incredible installation job and also left everything very clean. We would highly recommend EZ Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating. I was starting to have trouble with a 10-year-old Lennox system. I called EZ Comfort because of their BBB rating and Juan Martinez responded within less than 24 hours. He was experienced, knowledgeable, and not pushy in any way. He helped me I understand understanding my needs, And together we created a top-of-the-line Trane Heat pump system. I have a two-story home and we completely installed all new equipment, ductwork, a new air cleaning system;all top-of-the-line products. I had them add a Solar attic fan, and 14 inches of insulation in the attic as well. Juan spent an incredible amount of hands on time making sure I understood everything about the system and its controls and the thermostat operation. I could not have asked for a more comprehensive, caring, company. Juan was there every step of the way during the install during the controls and during the start up and the closeout. He even came a week later to help me with anything that might have come up in my education about the new system. We spent the day testing the limits of the app and thermostat programming. I cannot say enough about Juan Martinez and EZ Comfort. I’m now under the new warranty program Covering 100% of material in labor for 10 to 12 years and could not be happier. Had a 12 year old Goodman Amana system fail on a rental property. They gave me a quote to replace entire system and furnace with TRANE equipment, they also offered Goodman for a lower price point if you want a more economical solution. I've had bad experiences with Goodman equipment due to evaporator coil failures so I will never buy Goodman again, the TRANE is a little more expensive up front but I think over the life of the system the TRANE will be cheaper with better reliability.

They did an amazing job on this install. Very clean installation.

Also love that they have a great billing system that lets you use Apple Pay and sends nice PDF receipts.

Phillip was very professional and came back after the install to do a quality control check on the system and make sure everything was working properly. Phillip is very knowledgeable and makes sure everything is done right.

After doing some research and getting quotes, Ez Comfort stood out in terms of their reputation, quality of service, and affordable rates. They are highly rated on the BBB website. I decided to do two big projects through them and only wish I had done it sooner. The technicians who came out were very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and personable. My Technician was earlier than expected, also very knowledgeable. He did not rush to diagnose, and explained everything thoroughly. I will definitely use this service again for any future needs, and maintenance.

I can not say enough how much I appreciate
EZ Comfort. My unit shut down late yesterday. Called and they sent out Philip. He was here maybe 5 minutes and diagnosed the problem. He called Trane first thing this morning to check on the availability of the part, called to let me know they had it. Philip came back this morning, installed the part, checked the system…..We’ve got cool air! Thank you, Philip!!

came out to address some concerns I had after another company had recently performed the spring service. He not only addressed those concerns, he took his time and explained everything so I was able to understand things.

FINAL UPDATE:
I appreciate EZ Comfort’s effort to address my issues. However, the outcome was disappointing and felt misleading. Initially, they sent one of their top technicians to assess the situation and propose solutions for both the excessive condensation and the faulty supply plenum box installations. We had a productive discussion about potential issues, how to resolve them, and even the unreliability of the UV light brand they had installed (the technician recommended a different brand).

After weeks of silence, we finally heard back and scheduled an appointment. When they arrived, the experienced HVAC technician I had spoken with was not present. I wasn’t informed about the planned work or how they intended to resolve the core issue, despite the initial assessment promising clarity. To my surprise, they replaced only one of the plenum boxes, even though both had the same issue and were installed by EZ Comfort. The remaining plenums still leak air, causing ongoing condensation issues. Rather than addressing the root cause, they kept applying mastic, but the leak persists, and it never dries. I’ve attached photos showing the mess it continues to create.

I’ve spent over $12,000 with EZ Comfort in the last nine months and regret the investment. Despite numerous visits, they have not been able to fix the issue. I’ve now hired another company to resolve the problems, or I may even replace both units entirely. The original issue was excessive condensation on both AC units, which was never resolved by EZ Comfort. I was told the problem could be related to insulation, needing a dehumidifier, or attic ventilation. When I specifically asked if there was an air leak, I was told there wasn’t. However, the new company identified air leaks in both units where the plenum box was installed (see attached photos). The bottom of the plenum was not properly sealed and began to warp, causing gaps that let air escape.

Additionally, both OXY Air UV lights still don’t work properly. Instead of replacing them with a different brand as recommended, they were swapped out with the same unreliable model. This time, EZ Comfort blamed the excessive condensation, which they themselves caused, for damaging the UV lights. It’s baffling that they installed the lights in a location prone to moisture without taking steps like insulating the plenum to prevent this.

I hope this serves as a learning experience for EZ Comfort to improve their remediation process, communication, and troubleshooting. I genuinely wish the company well, but I will not be using or recommending their services moving forward.

Update 8/2024: We purchased a new home 8 months ago and have had many problems with the AC's in the house. We spent over 11K replacing plenum boxes and installing UV lights on both units. I noticed that both A/C's had a ton of condensation on the plenum boxes that were installed. In one attic, I was seeing condensation on the door, walls, and on the unit itself. I've had the company come out at least 4-5 times to determine the cause and it did not yield results. While I understand the attic is humid, it was so much condensation that cold air was coming in from somewhere. I had to call 2-3 other companies to take a look and it was determined that not only was the AC unit leaking but the ducts on the plenum boxes were not properly installed. They used boxes that were too small and did not space out the large ducts. Both units had air leaks where the ducts were either punctured or the didn't properly install/seal the ducts at the plenum box. Putting on mastic was not solving the problem. The UV lights rarely work and we had to replace one of the boxes at least once.

At this stage we need to replace one of the AC's, properly space out the ducts in the plenum boxes, and properly seal the ducts. Trust has eroded a bit with EZ comfort and I'm not sure if we want to continue using their services. While pricey, I will say that they have provide great customer service, communicate costs effectively via itemized quotes, and have shown up in a timely fashion.

EZ gentleman was very professional and knowledgeable to help me find what I needed even though I didn’t need the type of work they do.
I would use them in the future and refer my friends and family. Thank you EZ

EZ comfort was inquired last night due to a leak in one of our lines, they called & scheduled us the following day, the technicians that came to my home where very professional, explained everything to us, did their job, which did not take a long time .. at the end of the job they even recommended preventative maintenance.
